ª"˜ª¤.¸Official Team May 2014 Thread!¸.¤ª˜"ª

I was in the same boat as well. But we ended up getting a special discount so decided to stay in a moderate. Although my daughter wants to stay in AOA.

Our DD wanted to stay at AOA too for a few nights but I can't justify the extra money once discounts come out for May. So we are leaning towards CSR instead.

Wow, sounds yummy but quite a bit of food.I'm sure that you will enjoy it all. It's all part of the experience.

I got up at the unGodly hour on 3:45 my time to book my ADR's this morning. I probably could have waited because I don't think I was after any of the super sort after places and or times but, I was able to get all that I wanted (I was most concerned about CP prior to RD and Dessert Party on evening EMH but, scored on both. This is our plans as of today:
5/14- arrive- QS somewhere depending on what time we get in (staying at POP)
5/15- Grand Floridian Cafe 1:40
5/16 -Crystal Palace 8:10 (before RD)
Chefs De France 5:30
5/17- Tusker House 10:30
5/18- Ragland Road 12:45 (with family from Florida)
Dessert Party 9:00 ( MK evening EMH-stay late to burn off sugar buzz)
5/19- Boma 6:00
5/20-Via Napoli 11:30
5/21- Whispering Canyon Cafe-6:30
5/22- Liberty Tree Tavern-11:30
Mama Melrose-5:50- Fantasmic
5/23-Yak and Yeti -5:00
5/24- up and out early to catch the Fantasy for 7 days

I'm hoping that this will give us a little Flexibility and not have us to rushed. THis is the longest that we've stayed at WDW. Just myself and my DD19 so, no young ones to worry about ( can still enjoy the thrill in other little one'e eyes)-We do better early in the parks when they tend to be less crowded and I've worked this trip around the crowd projections ( compared all three ) and not around the evening EMH because we really dont tend to stay that late. I've also tried to do plan earlyish evenings when we have EMH the next day (and to avoid HSS during SWW). Dont want my daughter too be too cranky. I think a 19 year with attitude is almost worse that a few cranky toddlers. This will be our first trip together since she went to college in August so, I'm sure the dynamics will be different.

Hellooooooo! We just booked May 10-17th at SSR, 1BR! Let the Flower & Garden Festival countdown begin! :goodvibes

We have never tried Trails End, have you?

ADRS, tours, even spa treatments now made ..... but my excitement levels have now reduced, nothing else to book just a longgggg wait until 8th May when I'm on that plane to my happy place

Can you add me? My family is going May 4 - 11th staying in Nemo suite at AoA. My family consists of my husband, our two kids DD(5) and DS (13 months), my parents and I. This is our first trip with the kids, and my parents' first trip.

SO this has been a trip 5 years in the making. In April 2009 my baby girl (3months old) was diagnosed with a congenial heart defect that needed to be operated on. For the next month she was in and out of the Ped. ICU. On May 14th just before her 4 month birthday she underwent open heart surgery. The chance of her surviving that surgery was very low. I whispered to her that morning that I'll see her when she wakes up and in 5 years I promise u we will go see Mickey in Florida. Well this coming may will be 5 years!!
We have all our ADRs booked and we are also celebrating my parents 35th anniversary! They canceled their 30th anniversary trip when my baby was in the hospital, so I have a few surprises up my sleeve for them.... dessert party booked as a surprise and Im ordering a specialty cake with our dinner on the 5th (anniversary day). :bitelip: Any other suggestions would be helpful. Im having a difficult time because 1. this is my first trip as an adult and Im unfamiluar with WDW. 2. I want it to be a surprise so no dressing up 3. My dad is not a diseny fan he is going just to celebrate with my dd 4. neither of them drink wine or champangne and my dad wouldn't apprciate flowers and 5. we are sharing a suite.

Ooh where are you flying from? I leave on 8th too, flying with Virgin from Manchester.

Well, we ended up adding days to our May trip after we learned DD does not have school on May 16th. We are staying at CSR May 16-18 and then headed over the BCV until May 25th. We were able to make all our ADRs this weekend and even made a reservation for the kids to go to sandcastle kid club the night of our 10 year anniversary. I am a little nervous about using the child service but the kids are excited. Has anyone else ever used this service before?

Well, due to our dog tearing a ligament and needing $2,000 surgery, we've decided we'll be driving this trip.
I admit I'm disappointed-I was spoiled by flying last time! But it's either drive or not have everyone go, so I'm going to have to make the best of it.

What are everyone's transportation plans?

We always drive. How long does it take you to drive to WDW?
