Hi All,

New member here though I have lurked for information on the board for sometime.

You can add us to the list as well. Heading to Disneyland May 5-11 at the Anabella. Can't wait for a well deserved vacation and to take our daughter, seven months old, for the first time! Of course her sister, who is only 2 and a half is a Disney vet by now...already been to both WDW and DL in her short life!

We finally have decided where we are staying Best Wetern Anaheim Inn Jun 3-6. Getting so excited:cool1:

We are arriving May 29 and leaving June 5 with 5 days in the park. We are staying at Desert Inn & Suites.

8 Days! I got all my gift cards ready to go:

Everything's booked and now it's just packing and waiting.

We'll be there at the GCV from 6/2-6/6.

Have a long ways to go to read the posts on this thread. Been reading up on a lot of tips from everyone. Still amazes me how much I learn even though I've been going to DLR atleast once a year, if not more, for the past 18 years!

Planning, to me, is also one of the funnest parts of the trip. The family could care less about planning as they just go with the flow of the river that is me...

Just booked at Grand Californian from 5/25-5/28. First time staying there and can't wait. I have a feeling I won't be able to stay anywhere else now.

We have a hard time staying anywhere else now as well after our first trip to GCH... But due to the costs, we decided to invest in DVC... So glad we did...

Here's my revised plan for the trip:

Traveling with a 6mo, 4yr, and 6yr old (and the wife of course)

Combined occasion of 4yr old's birthday and wife and my 10-yr wedding anniversary.

Will be on 4-day park hoppers, but want to only swap parks when it makes sense to do so. Staying at DGC.

4yr old won't be able to ride several of the e-ticket rides being under 40" so we will commonly split up so 6yr old and I will ride the big-kid rides, and wife/6mo/4yr will do less exciting rides during time and do that parent swap thing where it makes sense. Toon town is a must because it has the one "rollercoaster" the 4yr old will be able to ride and is VERY excited.

Due to nature of why we are going, splurging more than we would have planned normally, so the in-park dining and some of the activities reflects such. Sunday night, we are leaving the kids in the room with a family friend and her daughter (they can watch WOC from the 6th floor viewing area), while the wife and I do something special over in NOS and catch some fantasmic.

We are the same, started going in the recession... now...boy did those room rates give me pause this year... nearly changed our mind. We are also looking at the VGC, but unless I happen into some $, not sure how we could swing it. The VGC contracts all seem to go for a premium too, and don't stay on the market for any amount of time.

Just had to change our plans a bit. We are still going 5/27-5/30 (at the parks 5/28-5/30), but my MIL has decided not to join us after all because of some other stuff going on for her. On a positive note, though, a long-time friend is going to meet us at DL in the late afternoons after she gets off of work (she lives in the area), so YAY for hanging out with old friends and HOORAY for doing that at Disneyland!!!!

Wow whoever that is one good looking spreadsheet that you have there :goodvibes. I wish I was that organized. Your plans look great, hope you have a wonderful time and I hope you and your wife have a happy anniversary too.

Yeah. I wish I had waited for VGC contract but when we bought, we were in WDW and they were selling AKV. We bought into that with enough points to make it worthwhile at that price... VGC came out a bit too expensive for us but I would have loved the longer res window... I keep looking for a good deal as we go to DLR 2 - 3 times a year and makes sense for points at VGC...

WOW... Whoever. :thumbsup2 Thats pretty detailed planning. I keep my plans on a spreadsheet too but have a very difficult time planning out that meticulously. My teenagers seem to have a mind of their own and the wife loves to hit all the shops...

Our not too expensive 2 day DLR, 2 days driving trip has now been expanded by two days and about 600 dollars :lmao:. So, we are now leaving on Saturday June 8, seeing hte baseball in LA, then doing a day in Anaheim (beach and downtown Disney) on Sunday, DCA on Monday, Minnie and Friends and DL on Tuesday, and Club 33 and DL/DCA on Wednesday. Coming home on Thursday. Going to have ot find some overtime to pay for this!

Whoever, I'm impressed you are going to leave Phoenix at 4, drive, be up until midnight and then at the parks at 8 the next morning! I'm tired thinking of it!

Ok, here's what I whipped up. It's 4 versions of basically the same thing. I tried to keep the green thing going. I'm happy to go back to the drawing board if this is not quite right.

Just fuel me with coffee, and I'm good to go. The kids... the youngest is usually the first up, but my oldest is who can ride RSR, so her and I will have to tear over if I have to carry her...

yes whoever....LOVE your trip plan. we are there most of the same days as you are....don't be surprised if i am following along with your trip plan....:wave2:
