    Dream/Fantasy VS Wonder/Magic

We just got off the Fantasy a couple of hours ago. We loved the ship, it was fantastic, but . . . we enjoyed the classic ships much more. The real area we felt the size of the ship was in the dining rooms. I just don't remember them being that frantic, crowded and loud. Dinner was not...

New Job w/ Disney! Should I sell?

Thanks for all the advice. I hadn't thought about the hurricane idea, but that seems like a good one, as the resorts are built better than most homes. As to where I'll be working, let me just say it will be behind the scenes, in a professional capacity. I don't want to say anything further...

New Job w/ Disney! Should I sell?

I've realized a dream, and gotten a job with Walt Disney World. I'm very excited, and am looking forward to starting my new career. That leads me to my question. Being a 200 point SSR owner, should I sell? We really won't be staying there anymore. Plus, with the price increase, I should...

    Rumors about PI?

FYI, I ate at T-Rex in Kansas City, KS last weekend. I believe it's the first one built (but I could be wrong). My opinion: If you love Rainforest Cafe, you'll love T-Rex. Otherwise, it's just an overpriced and loud theme restaurant. We took our 2 year old son, and truthfully, I have no...

    Siemens at Space Ship Earth

Either that, or the cast members are tired of giggling everytime they say the corporate sponser's name. Siemens is covering the entire ride. hee Hee. :rotfl2:

Tom Sawyer's Island, Disneyland - soon no more?

Moron TMZ writer can't even get it right. They aren't added Keira and Orlando to Tom Sawyer Island. Their adding them to POTC. I say let's do it. TSI is just not relevent anymore. It's not interesting, and under utilized. Let's put something on there that will be fun for all ages.

    Hello!! Any Missouri DVCers?????

It's strange that you always seem to see someone from your home town. While we were there, our friends who were traveling with us saw a co-worker. And, last year, I was in Moscow, Russia, at a hotel by the airport. I heard another person speaking English, so I struck up a conversation...

    Hello!! Any Missouri DVCers?????

Hi Gang! KC DVC'er here. Just got back last week from our first SSR stay (although we've been members for 3 years). It was wonderful. Our two year old son had a blast. Getting ready to go back to Orlando tomorrow for business. Weird, since I was just there. Will be strange not boarding...

    Toddler "leashes"

Ok, I guess I'm looking at this from a bit of a different angle. People seem to be caught up that a leash is a degrading item. That it is somehow evil by itself. But, you have to look at the purpose of a leash on an animal. I put a leash on my dog, because I love him, and I want him to...

    Who has read "DisneyWars"...

I read it on my trip to Moscow, and finished it in about 5 days. It was fascinating and disturbing. Really lets you know what goes on in boardrooms around the country, and how things like Enron and Worldcomm can happen.

    To Disney: Stop Making Sequels....

Perhaps, let's clarify that we want Disney to quit making direct to video sequels that are so inferior to an original production that it is obvious that it is just cashing in on whatever money it can generate. Toy Story 2 started as a direct to video sequel, but then, they realized that...

Wait, I thought WDW mgmt was "better" then DL's?!?

Ok, I have a question. Why would running the cars in slow mode have an effect on the audio, or any other portion of the ride? The cd/tape/whatever format the audio is played from still plays. The sound is still transferred to the cars, and the speakers still play. I may be missing something...
