FP+ Let's look at the math...

This is an excellent example! In a call center situation, based on previous call volume experiences, we can calculate how many calls we expect, and add or subtract the number of agents needed to handle the volume. We are not locked into a maximum number of calls, as long as there are enough...

What about NO fast pass at all?

Outside of Disney, I remember the days of waiting on line, for 2 hours, in the hot July sun, for 2 minute roller coasters, at various Six Flaggs parks. We complained then, but there were no other options. Now, there are. Call it "spoiled," but I refuse to go back to that. I was lucky with...

    Health concerns with entry procedure

While extreme, the OP may have a point (not about catching HIV, mind you). For various reasons, some people with immunodeficiencies (congenitally or pharmacologically), may be a bit more cautious about where they put their hands and fingers, especially. There could be Purell dispensers near the...

When will ticket prices get high enough to stop a visit?

To go off on a bit of a tangent, I literally, just read this section of Disney Wars today, and am amazed at how much money Disney was losing out on by not taking advantage of lodging possibilities and not jacking up the park prices. Yeah, it seemed like starting with Eisner, it was more about...

Jeans, Compression Stockings Veins and Sweat!

It really depends on the temperature. I've worn them in to Disney in June and August, but with very lightweight pants. So, jeans in November may not be a problem. I'd bring some lightweight pants, just in case. Also, the brand of compression and the amount of compression may make a...

child that is too small...waiting for others question

Don't kids have to be a certain age to ride alone/go through the queue alone anyway? There's a big difference between letting two 8 year olds stand on line vs two 12 year olds. OP, how old are the taller kids?

Disney World for the VERY tall

My husband is 6'6. His absolute requirement for hotel rooms is a King sized bed, but he much prefers something like a suite or villa. He won't touch anything under 400 square feet, and even 400 is his bare minimum. We stay off property. Hubby's biggest issue is legroom. There were several...

White slacks and Kali River Rapids-just so you know...

I once got caught during an afternoon downpour, walking from the Boardwalk area, through all of Epcot, to the parking lot. Yep, my white slacks got soaked and I was wearing red underwear. My husband enjoyed the view.

    Prevalence of Park Hopper

We have always gotten park hoppers. Generally, the first 2 days are strictly Magic Kingdom or Epcot. Day 3, we can kill AK by 3pm, take a midday break, then go back to Epcot or MK around 6pm or 7pm and stay until close. Day 4, we can hit up HS. We can take a midday break riding the boat to enjoy...

How old for kids to ride by themselves?

Wow. When I was 10 and my cousin was 8, we were allowed free reign all day, while our parents stayed in one designated area, like, the Electric Umbrella in Epcot. We would come check on THEM every few hours to make sure they were ok. We could read the maps and come up with a gameplan. Maybe...

Would you do a short trip?

No. There are 3 kids in your group, all of varying ages, who are going to want to experience different things. You could all break up, but that kinda defeats the purpose of a family vacation. It could be doable with 1 or 2 kids near the same age, if you stay at the parks from rope drop to close...

Do you wear parks gear outside of the World?

Absolutely! But I don't want to wear my Disney outfits too often, for fear of them becoming ragged. Mostly, I wear T-shirts, but I've found several "yoga" workout pants that I absolutely love, especially the organic ones. They're very comfortable to work out in and are really cute. Every now and...

Parking at the Preimium Outlets on Vineland Avenue is becoming a major problem

If this is the same place we went to, I must agree. We found a spot in the parking garage on the higher levels ok, but it took us AN HOUR to get out. It appeared that the turn coming out of the parking garage was where things were backed up. This was on a rainy day and I believe during a tax...

    Strange things guests say

If true, then I stand corrected. I would not expect alligators to be in the water.

    Strange things guests say

At MK, we were walking along the pathway, near the water, on the way to Splash Mtn and BTMR. A woman walking past us says that there used to be alligators in the water. My 10 year old replied, (just using the letters, not the words), "***."

another question about being pooh sized

Maybe height is more of an issue on this one. My husband, at 6'5, 350lbs, got on it once, solo, and refused to get on it again because he had no leg room. He actually sat on the passenger side and reached over to drive and hit the pedal. We saw another tall male do the same thing.

The new Star Tours attraction is amazing

I had the biggest smile on my face every time we rode. I don't think we waited more than 5 minutes and we rode back to back 4 times. Having different combinations was genius and I hope more attractions in the future implement this technology.
