    Grown up activities for 50th?

We are planning a girl's trip to Florida in October and being a huge Disney fan, I'd like to check out the 50th anniversary celebrations. Is anyone aware of any events going on geared to adults, I was thinking maybe something in Epcot?

    Offsite vs Onsite?

Hello. I didn't vote on the poll as my choice wasn't listed. I have done both, definitely prefer onsite but offsite wasn't terrible and I would do it again if I felt I had to money-wise. We stayed at the Holiday Inn Sunspree which is really close to DD entry and it really wasn't bad at all...

Which of the 4 parks has the best Theme

I voted for AK. I wouldn't say it's my favorite of the 4 parks, but I love the theming!

    Family Hotels

I picked the Contemporary mainly because of its location. Especially if you have little kids, you can walk to MK and being on the monorail, it's very convenient to get around. :thumbsup2

    Son's username/password

My son had his own username & password. He was registered as a minor and I got email alerts about his account. He cannot remember his password. If I request the password be emailed to me I get my username and password, not his. Can anyone help? Thanks. :)

    End of August Crowd levels?

We were there last week of August 07 to take advantage of free dining. It was crowded but I really didn't think it was too bad. We've usually gone during April school vacation and it wasn't any worse than that. As far as the weather, it was definitely hot, but again, not what I was expecting...

    How inappropriate is this??

Unbelievable! As a mom of 2 boys (who are now waaay to old to pee outside!) that is something I never let them do anywhere!! I think it's totally disgusting. But especially against the monorail pole at Epcot!!???:scared1:

anybody just wing it, and plan nothing...

I guess we pretty much "wing it". We are a family of 4 with 2 boys. We do make ADRs for the few meals that are musts for us (Chef Mickey's our first morning there). But we don't really make a "touring plan". We pretty much decide day to day what park we want to hit and what we want to do...

    Our plans for the show

Thanks for the update. Sorry to hear you're not feeling well. Looking forward to the Bawb tribute and all the new podcasts. They won't be the same but Bawb would definitely want you guys to continue on when everyone's ready

What was the first Disney hotel you stayed in?

My first was CR in 76 I believe... I was 12 if I have the year right. Anyway I went back in 1990 with DH for one night during our honeymoon. We didn't really honeymoon in Disney but were in Fla and I convinced DH to drive up (from Sanibel Island) for a night at Disney. Since then, have...

    Children Walking or Riding

The first time we went, youngest son was only about one month past his 4th birthday. I didn't want to be saddled with a stroller so we didn't get one, figuring we could always rent one if we needed. He did great. Only one day do I remember him complaining about walking at the end of a very...

Can we make it in time??

I don't know if you are planning to use Magical Express from the airport? If so, it is definitely too close. And even if you have a car, I would think it would be too close.

The worst moment at Walt Disney

Well I really had to think of any "bad time" I had at WDW and couldn't really think of one. There is only one experience that had nothing to do with Disney, just be mebeing careless. I carry a backpack in the parks and I hold everyone's tickets. We were entering MK at night to get a good spot...

When did you fall in love with Disney parks?

I went for the first time when in 76 when I was 12. My dad, younger sister and I drove down from Boston, MA. I LOVED everything about that trip--the drive, staying in different hotels every night on the way down, then arriving at the World. We were SOOO excited. I remember being very...

What's the cutest/funiest thing your child has said at Disney World?

2 things--both from the first time we took our boys to WDW. At the time, youngest DS was 4. We didn't use a carriage and he walked everywhere like a little trooper, never complained. Then at the end of the day when we had to walk to the bus stop and he started whining I said "we just have to...

    Disney World Smells

I totally agree. A smell that always stays in my mind is something at the concourse of CR---not sure what it is, but it's had that smell since the first time I stayed there about 30 years ago!

ASSports - as bad as I read?

We've stayed at Sports twice, most recently August of 07. We have always been very happy with our stay, especially considering the cost. I think it's a great value. We have never had any problems with the teams, teenagers running around, all the other stuff that's been reported. Our room has...
