What happens when the Terrace Dessert Party falls on a MVMCP night? Do you need tickets for that to get into the dessert party??

Just got off the phone with a dining reservation CM. I was hoping to book the Dessert Party for Jan 26, 2013. She said that Dessert Party reservations are available 45 days prior to the event date (for 1.26.13 that means December 12, 2012). So, count 45 days backward from the date that you want and mark it in your calendar. Call and make the reservation that morning.

For example, December 2012 reservations opened last week for all days except December 30 & 31. I would start checking the Dessert party thread in November. Last year, all of January except the 1st and the 2nd opened on November 29th.

A couple of days ago, I booked the dessert party for Dec. 14. That's more than 45 days from the date.

We went to it last year and really enjoyed it.

I didn't see labels on the desserts in the pictures on the first page. Are the trays labeled so you know what everything is?

The two times i've been there, they did not have anything labeled. There are CM's there that may be able to help you determine what the items are though.

My question is this....the parade is at 8:15 that night and the fireworks will be at 9:30. Can I get a spot inside the dessert party in time to see the parade? Maybe I should not be doing the dessert party and MVMCP the same night? Can anyone help me with figuring this out?

I'm also attending the dessert party during MVMCP and have a different question. My date is Friday, November 9 with an 8:50 p.m. reservation. Christmas Wishes starts at 9:30 p.m. Does anyone know what time the party starts? Would I be correct guessing 8:30 p.m? Thanks.

You will only see the tops of the Parade floats if you watch the parade from the dessert party.

You could get into the party after the parade in time for the fireworks, Your table has already been reserved for you...however there is no guarantee as to the selection of dessert items once you get there.

Someone that has been to the party on a MVMCP might be able to help better with this question

Most of the time, they start the party about 1 hour before the fireworks begin. I haven't been to MVMCP, so i don't know. Someone else who has been may be able to answer better for you.

I see a lot of hopeful replies, but to the best of my knowledge no one has been able to secure a January reservation for the Dessert Party. Hopefully we'll get some information from Disney soon.

I called earlier this evening but was told that January was still not open. They were only taking reservations through Dec. 31.

We did the dessert party on 11/19 and it was a huge hit with my family. Even there, a manager came out to discuss my son in law's food allergies. After the fireworks, we were let out of a side gate used by cast members to avoid the crowds. The photos in earlier posts were quite accurate and the selection was great. We got there about 30 minutes early, so were some of the first to enter. Didn't seem that the desserts ran out. I really recommend this as a special treat.
