Zombie Apocalypse and Pixie Dust - A 2 week Disneymoon (PTR link 11/14)

That’s good that you were immune to everything. Good thing the Dr gave you something to help with your morning sickness. I suffered 3.5 months with Xander and 4.5 months with Connor. I love all your Disney themed Christmas gifts. Your bump picture is cute, but II do not see a bump in it yet. Between the car and the crib, it looks like you guys are really getting ready for Claudia. The crib is beautiful. I have dark wood all throughout my house, except the natural wood in the boys’ rooms.

I am guessing that you have a girl, just kidding. I guess I got here too late for that one. I love the theming of the first picture for the nursery. Newborns are attracted to dark colors though, so any of those would probably be soothing to her eyes. I hope you get the second baby you want some day. I only wanted two until they both came out boys. As you know, I NEED a daughter.

I am all caught up now with everything. I can read the next update live, yay.

I haven't been on the Dis in almost a week! Every time that happens I always push back my return as I'm afraid it will take me forever to catch up on all my subscriptions. :rotfl: Indeed, I have spent the last 3 hours catching up, and I'm finally almost done.

I'm on March Break now, so yay! :woohoo: My first few days are pretty busy, but after that I should have some time to do a couple of updates. :)

I am through Day seven now. The security officers had some fun with you. Love it. We learned how to draw Pluto on a trip a while back. “Crapbag” still remembers how and draws him really well. Since I am not an artist, I did not even do well the first time. Thus, I have not tried since. You both drew him way better than I did. You got a lot of magic shots. We did not get any on our last trip. We love the Beauty and the Beast show too. Xander actually got mad at us about the show, which you will see in my report when I get to that day.

Every time we go to a restaurant that has those "draw on the table" papers, I try to draw Pluto again. And I'm having lots of fun (and pulling hair moments) teaching my grade 5 students how to draw the characters. Wonder why Xander got mad at you...

I love how you hid Mike. It had me laughing. That cupcake looks amazing. I have not seen Lights Motor Action, since they added Lightning McQueen. My son would have loved it, so I am sad we missed it. I feel the same way about Indiana Jones. It is all right, but I do not need to see it (each time for you or never again for me). I can watch the other shows over and over again. We did not watch it on our last trip. I love the picture of you with the Evil Queen.

The cupcake tastes as amazing as it looks. We'll most probably skip both shows next time we go. Evil Queen was a lot of fun to meet.

That is a great shot of you and Ron on the Tower of Tower. I agree that some of the strangers looks pretty cool in the picture too. It is awesome that you were able to walk into the Brown Derby. I love the cobb salad there. The filets are all right. How nice of them to give you a special treat! Glad you got some magic even if it was the one place you walked into it without an ADR. Hollywood Studios is my favorite park. If I had to choose between MK and HS for a third day, it would be HS. My older son would agree. Not sure how Connor would feel yet. DH would rather have the extra day at Epcot.

Brown Derby was a really nice surprise. You will have to wait and see if we ended up having a third day at HS or MK. ;) More answers in purple above.

Thanks for the details on the underwater camera. I will do some research on it and consider it. I was NEVER girly growing up and am still not really now. "Crapbag" always makes fun of me for it. I still want to have a daughter and raise her very girly. I've never owned a charm bracelet myself but other than my wedding ring, I do not like wearing jewelry at all. Hopefully, Claudia will like being girly.

I'm not very girly either. I barely wear any make-up, and no other jewelry besides my wedding ring, except on special occasions. But I do love pink and sparkly things, especially for little girls. princess:

I am through all of your Day Eight Updates. The report was so good that I wanted to keep reading. I also did not want to see responses that would give away parts I had not read yet. I will start the Real World updates next time I log in.

I'm really glad you enjoyed the report that much so far. When you have the time, you should check out the link to my PTR. It's actually also a TR of my previous trip and one of my wedding week. :)

There was a 20 minute posted wait when “Crapbag” rode Mission Space, but it took much longer than that for him as well. Disney could do a better job of updating ride times on that. I think Nemo is a cute ride too. You got some great shots of the sea life. Xander was not into it this trip, so we spent very little time looking at them. I love Turtle Talk with Crush too and would watch it even if the kids were not with me.

Disney always seems very good at having accurate wait times, except for Mission Space. I wonder why that is? :confused3

I can see how some younger children would not be as interested in spending too much time looking at the sea life, but hopefully his interest will raise with age.

I am sorry you were not feeling well a couple days ago. I hope you are feeling better. I hope DH gets to have father/daughter time someday. How old is Ron’s daughter? Just curious to see how big of a gap she will have with Claudia.

I love Ellen but have never seen her show at WDW. Ron really looks like he is asleep in the Test Track picture, lol.

Thankfully that not feeling well thing only lasted a day. I was fine all week. Then today I felt bad again, but I think it's the food from the chinese buffet we had that did not agree with me. A nap made things all better. :goodvibes Just crossing my fingers I did not catch anything from the students, they were all so sick in February.

Ron's DD is turning 13 at the end of the month. My best friend has the exact same age gap with her younger brother. I remember so many nights spent at her place baby-sitting him together. I would joke that he was my "boyfriend" as he would never let me leave the house without giving him a kiss (on the cheek, of course!) :rotfl:

I do not do well with nausea, so I'm glad the pills worked. I'm only taking some a night now, but I'm afraid to completely stop. The one day I did not take them, I ended up with the migraine. :headache:

I've been very bad with bump pictures. I really wanted to start taking them every week by now, but the last I took was over a month away. AND I haven't even uploaded it to my computer yet. Oops. :rolleyes1

We had kinda slowed down a bit on the baby shopping, but today we registered at Babies R Us. :woohoo: It was fun, but also overwhelming. So many things to think about!! And I have to go and buy the furniture I found a couple of weeks ago. Which I should post a picture of... soon...

I really hope you get the girl you want!

Congratulations on the baby girl! OMG! Girls are so much fun!

Thank you! I am so excited to be having a girl. :goodvibes

Great update! We have never done the Ellen ride, but we may have to! I have heard it's a great place to feed a baby! I thought the picture of you in front of the ride was really cute!

I nursed my son anywhere and everywhere at WDW. If it is not too hot or cold outside, any place is good. He is an on-demand nursling, so I just nursed him where ever we were when he had an urge. Hopefully, the weather is nice when you go with your LO.

And who doesn't love a shopping trip into Mouse Gears. I always end up buying at least one thing there.

Wow! This is probably one of my busiest March break ever! Today was my first morning waking up without an alarm in 6 days of vacation! Between catching up with friends, and getting ready for baby, I've been kept busy busy busy!! Today is a much slower day, so I'll try to post an update or two.

I think it's good to try ever ride at least once. As long as the baby is not bothered by the noise, Ellen is for sure a great place to nurse (or nap!).

I'm like a sponge, trying to get as much info as I can about bringing a baby to WDW, so thanks for this. The weather is my one biggest worry about going early January. It can be nice, but it can also be really cold. It would suck to leave cold Canada, only to have almost freezing temperature in Florida!

And who doesn't love a shopping trip into Mouse Gears. I always end up buying at least one thing there.

What stopped me from buying too many souvenirs on this trip, especially towards the end, was that I decided that I wanted Ron to buy my Christmas gift in Disney. So I made a wish list of all I wanted. But then I couldn't buy anything from that list, in case that's what he ended up buying me.

Day 8 part 5 - Spaceship & Monorail
August 18th, 2011

Last time I updated we had been exploring Future World for over 6 hours now, but we were not finished. We can't visit Epcot without going on our favorite relaxing attraction, Spaceship Earth!

I think there was no wait at all, and soon enough we were starting our journey through the history of communication. I took several (blurry) pictures (without flash, of course!), so here they are!

First up we have the guy who invented paper, and made taxes possible. Grrrr!

DSC03554.jpg

My brother works in printing, so I took this photo of the first printing machine for him.

I still love listening to radio in my car, so yay to whoever invented that!

DSC03559.jpg

Watching the first landing on the moon.

DSC03560.jpg

Afro lady.

DSC03561.jpg

And my favorite favorite part of the ride, the earth! It is so relaxing to be in this giant room with stars everywhere, and our lovely planet in sight. Awwwww!

DSC03562.jpg

We answered a few questions, and patiently awaited our futre.

One thing we regretted from our first trip was not spending anytime in the post-show areas of the attractions, so this time we stopped to play the driving video game. It would have been fun, had the games actually worked properly. The steering wheels were really not working great. In fact, mine wouldn't even turn left at all!!! Oh well.

By the time we exited Spaceship Earth we felt it had cooled down enough (remember that!) to head into World Showcase. We had a third day at Epcot planned, so we thought we would leave Innoventions for the hottest part of that day. We were not in any rush though, and I was in full picture mode. Let's start with a picture of the greatest fountain!

DSC03565.jpg

You can find very interesting looking things when you look up to take photos, and I tried to remember that tip.

DSC03566.jpg

Nice reflection.

DSC03567.jpg

I REALLY wanted to get a picture of the monorail, so I waited for it to come. Ron found a shady place to sit.

DSC03568.jpg

He passed the time by taking some pictures with his own camera.

After about 5 minutes, the monorail finally showed up! Here it is in all its glory.

Ron got in on the action as well. You can see me and my bridal ears taking a picture.

Which country do we visit first? Here's a hint :

Mexican Donald gets Ron down on the floor

My favorite part of Spaceship Earth is the very tip top too! I love it up there.

Ron was so sweet to wait on the monorail to come so you could take a picture. I guess that's why you married him huh? ;)

I've been to WDW in January. While the weather changes, it was beautiful when we went. We even spent time at the pool. Hopefully, you get that weather. It has been years since I've rode Spaceship Earth. Thanks for reminding me what it looks like inside. Xander loves Mexican Donald.

Spaceship Earth was actually the first thing I did when I first went to Epcot. Not a lot about this ride over than history, history, history and more history. My dad was being a right prat when it came to the your future section. What he did was he pulled me about when the camera was taking our photo. I was riding with him at the time by the way. When it came to the your future section because he was pulling me about the photo had the face obscured. I was annoyed with him on that. But anyways nice pictures of the fountain and the
Monorail. Ahhh bless Ron! He was willing to wait while you took pictures? What a sweetheart.

I love Spaceship Earth! :lovestruc I always take pictures of those tarp things near the fountain, I don't know what they are or why they are there, but I love them! And the fountain! And the monorail! Yay!! I love your pictures in this update!

I love the pictures when you just looked up :) Spaceship Earth at the top where you see Earth is my absolute favorite part too :goodvibes

There is just something so calming about being up there with Earth and the stars. :goodvibes

It's not like I left him a choice... but yeah, it was nice of him to wait for me. ;)

We won't really mind if it's not swimming weather (though if Ron's DD comes, she might be disappointed), but as long as it's not freezing we should be okay.

You should check out Spaceship Earth next time. At the very least, Xander should find the making your own video at the end quite funny. Just make sure to possibly hold him up for the picture, if he's too small.

Mexican Donald was a lot of fun! You'll see in the next update. :thumbsup2

Spaceship Earth may only be about history, but I love the narration, all the details to look at, the calming effect, and the funny video. I love thrill rides, but it's nice to slow down once in a while. :)

I'm a lucky girl, to have a guy like Ron willing to do so much for me. :lovestruc

I have no clue what the purpose of those tarps is either, but they sure make for interesting pictures. Between the buildings, the flowers, and the water surfaces, it's a great place for monorail pictures. :goodvibes

Every time we get to the top I feel like "Awwww, this is it. I'm home!" I get the same calming effect as I get standing on a beach at night, listening to the waves. :cloud9:

Mini Life Update

Back when the morning sickness first hit me last October, my doctor prescribed to me these miracle pills. Ever since then I've barely felt sick, and have slowly cut down from 4 pills to 2 pills a day. I kinda held on to the ones I took just before sleep, but two days ago I felt brave enough to completely stop taking them. After all, I'm already at 5 and a half months, way pass the point where most women feel sick. I should be fine, right? WRONG! I've basically been miserable for the past two days, alternating between nausea, headache, or both. Needless to say, I ran back to the pharmacy (drugstore) today to renew my prescription. Hopefully I'll feel all better tomorrow and will be able to do a Disney update AND a real life update. We bought the rest of the baby furniture today! Can't wait to show you pictures. :)

On that note, I better turn off the computer before I feel too sick...

Oh no! I'm so sorry that you're still feeling sick. Could the headaches be due to your cutting back on caffeine? I know that for me (a certified caffeine addict) the headaches were constant for a few weeks since I was trying not to have any caffeine.

Hope that you feel better soon, and can't wait to see the pics of the furniture!

Bummer on the morning sickness. My bestie(and MOH) was nausiated the entirety of both her pregnancies. But the doctor with her first never even mentioned there was such a thing as anti-nausea pills! So needless to say she got a new doctor for her second who kept her on the pills all 9 months. I can't even imagine feeling sick all the time. I'm such a baby when it comes to nausea.

Hope you are feeling better soon! Can't wait to see your baby booty :lmao:

I'm so sorry you've had bad days  I feel your pain, I had "morning" sickness (all day sickness) until I was over 6 months along with my son. Thank goodness there are meds that are safe for pregnancy now, 16 yrs ago I just had to throw up for six months :sad2: I'm not complaining though, my son was a miracle baby and I never complained during my pregnancy because I was SO HAPPY to be pregnant. I'm sure the pills will kick back in for you and everything will be good again :)

I took the anti-nausea pill yesterday and after it kicked in I was finally able to sleep good. I would have slept in a lot more this morning, but I felt guilty because we are losing an hour with moving the clocks forward. I was fine for a while, then the nausea hit me again. I used to be fine with just pills before bed, but it seems the nausea is coming back full force (along with the sensitivity to smells). So I'm gonna go back to the 4 pills a day I had in the first trimester. I had head of sickness coming back in the third trimester, guess I am an unlucky one who has to suffer through it.

I'm feeling better now, so I'll try posting the baby update after these replies.

I'm not a coffee drinker at all, so it can't be that. The headaches came at the exact time I stopped taking the anti-nausea pill, so I'm pretty sure it's related.

Ugh! I can't imagine how awful this pregnancy would have been without the pills! Poor friend of yours! I can deal with lots, including headaches, but nausea does me in.

As I just said to katerina, I don't deal well at all with nausea so I would have felt pretty awful not to have anything to deal with it. But as much as I don't like the feeling, I still would take it anyday since it means I'm gonna have a beautiful baby girl at the end.
