Zombie Apocalypse and Pixie Dust - A 2 week Disneymoon (PTR link 11/14)

I'd do the 5k with you, but I'm so not a runner. Stupid asthma.

Good luck!

Well, seeing as there is no running allowed in the stroller division, it looks like I'll be walking the 5K. Oh well, still a fun experience!

Great update Mel. Wow seeing all those fish and dolphins in the preshow areas of Turtle talk with Crush is making me think about my possible trip to the London film museum and the aquarium. Also it's my birthday today and I'm 19 today!

:bday: Happy Birthday! :jumping1:

I love aquariums! I hope you have fun visiting the one in London. :thumbsup2

Test track will be under rehab during my next trip :(

Oh well... it may give me a push in the you know what and I'll try Ellen's hehe

Through Day five now. I love sleeping in. With two kids I rarely get to do it. Vacation and sleeping in =bliss. The Beverly is quite gross. We are not fans of rice. Someone got us a rice cooker as a wedding present and we only used it a few times before it got ruined. Kim Possible looks fun. When my kids are older, I want to try it. Sorry your Mom gets sick when you travel. I am glad she got better. You got some great sunset pictures. I hope you got to see Illuminations. I missed it two trips ago and was bummed. Your paint chip does kind of look like Dumbo.

Great updates! I now know that we have so much of The Seas that we need to explore! I am ashamed to admit that we have spent so little time in there. We've done Nemo once and Turtle Talk once and that's it! We did love Turtle Talk, though!

Love your sleeping pose on TT! We ended up doing a funny pose for that camera on our trip, too. :upsidedow

It's a bummer that test track will be closed for so long, but I'm kinda excited to see the end result. I remember being a bit disappointed in the inside portion of Test Track the first time I tried it, so I'm okay with them changing it. Hopefully it's gonna be great!

I LOVE sleeping in too! That's probably the one thing I'm going to miss the most after I give birth.

We are huge fans of rice. As a picky eater, it's my most common go-to food when I don't know what to eat. And Ron eats rice with EVERYTHING, even breakfast. Our rice cooker gets used several times a week! Your husband must be one of the rare Filipino who doesn't eat much rice.

Kim Possible is a lot of fun! But yes, your kids are a bit too young to try it.

Thanks. My mom has been doing good since that one time. I know this won't last forever, so I'm enjoying all the time I get with her.

I really lucked out with those sunset pictures, being in the right spot at the right time!

I'm writing about my second day at Epcot now, so once you get to that point you'll see if we got to see it.

I think I mentioned the paint chip looking like Dumbo *every* *single* *night*. Ron must have been tired of hearing me! :rotfl:

Oh, there is SO MUCH to see and explore in The Seas! The music, the fish, the lighting, it makes for a very relaxing time. Not to mention the air conditioning!

The only thing that would have made the sleeping pose better is if I had tilted my head towards the camera instead of away from it. Looking forward to seeing yours!

I love the Seas! I'm glad you got to do so much while there, and spend so much time in that pavilion :goodvibes

I :rotfl: at the TT picture! I tried doing goofy pictures this last trip, though most just look silly and not how I intended!

I hope you are still able to sleep in from time to time. On Tuesday, my DH takes Xander to preschool. When Connor wakes up in the morning, I nurse him until we both fall back to sleep. If he is home on Saturdays, he will take Xander downstairs for me. Connor and I sometimes go back to sleep.

We both love fried rice. It is just something about white rice. I feel like something is missing. When I was growing up, we only ate ours with butter or gravy. Plain is not for me. "Crapbag" ate it growing up, since it was served at every meal but never cared about it once we moved in together. Both sets of in-laws serve it all the time, so we still eat it from time to time. I like to put something on mine though.

The Seas is by far the best (indoor) place in Epcot to spend some quiet time. :goodvibes

Goofy pictures are always fun, no matter how silly they turn out. So I look forward to seeing them. :yay:

Yes, I do hope we can find some sort of arrangement between Ron and I so that we can sleep in once in a while. And my friend did get to sleep in quite a bit with her nursing baby. I remember as a kid I used to sleep in very late, so maybe my daughter will be the same?

Oh, I'm not a fan of white rice at all either. I usually put lots of soya sauce on it. and I LOVE fried rice. Ron and his DD are big on white rice though. Funny anecdote, but Ron and I rarely ever eat the same rice. He'll cook his Asian sticky rice, while I prefer my cheap Minute Rice. :rotfl2:

To give you some hope, I slept a lot as a baby! According to my parents I slept at least 6 hours straight every night from the time I came home :goodvibes So maybe Claudia will be good and sleep a lot too, so you and Ron can both sleep!

Love the sleeping test track picture. Do you follow mickeystoontown's tr? Her family did on of the best ride photos ever on Dinosaur.

I am a sleeper too! DD likes to sleep in-I have to wake her up most days for school. And, since I work nights, DH gets up with DD on the weekends to let me catch up a little. Only at Disney can I get up at 6am happily!

Great updates! Isn't Turtle Talk so cute? :cool1:

I can never find those Jammitors. I don't know why but I want to see them! Probably just because they are never around when I'm in Epcot!

Love the Test Track pic! I'm so annoyed TT will be closed when we're there in May, but it definitely needs an update! :thumbsup2

Oh god there is so much I haven't done in Epcot! I haven't done soarin', I haven't done the sea pavilion and god help me I have not seen Ellen's energy adventure! Basically I haven't done half the stuff when I first went to Epcot!

Love the sleeping pictures! I love the dolphins, too. :goodvibes

Are you sad that they are changing Test TracK? I think I will miss the old ride.

I am through Day six now. I am sorry someone had a 10 minute conversation right outside your door. That is inconsiderate. The Pop Century really is a beautiful resort. We’ve driven by it, since it sometimes shares a bus with CBR. I’ve never been out exploring it though. You had a lot of luck with buses. I wish the GF would have made transportation a little easier on us last trip. Maybe, we should have stayed at Pop. We are thinking of renting a car next time.

I love your waterpark shots, especially the underwater ones. What type of camera were you using? Did it hold up well? I’ve never bought a waterproof camera. I almost bought one for our most recent trip but could not decide. There were just so many bad reviews on all the ones I researched. You got more great Photopass shots too. I love the All Adults Should be Accompanied by a Child sign. No one wants to see the creepy adult in the kiddie pool, sans kid.

I love the bracelet you guys got Ron’s daughter. I want a daughter so much. Girls stuff is so cute. Sorry your Day six was not better, but I am really excited to read about Day seven.

I was never a good sleeper, not even as a kid. I basically took my mom's inability to fall asleep quickly, with my dad's waking up all the time. Why couldn't it have been the opposite, my dad falling asleep super fast and my mom sleeping like a rock? :headache: I really hope Claudia doesn't take after me for that part!

Yes, I saw Lisa's Dinosaru picture and it's hilarious! :rotfl2: I see so many great funny pictures on other TR. I think I need to make a list of silly picture ideas every time I come across one, because on the spot it's so hard to think of one!

When I was younger my mom and I would sleep in very late on weekends, while my brother and my dad got up super early. Both Ron and I like to sleep in late, so let's hope Claudia is like us. If not, well... big sister is always up at the crack of dawn, she can take care of her. :rotfl: But seriously, I'm sure Ron and I will come up with some sort of arrangement where one of us sleeps in once in a while. And it's so true. I don't mind getting up early at Disney at all!

Turtle Talk is amazing! Ron likes it better than Monsters, Inc, because it changes more depending on the audience. And what a cute audience!

We just stumbled upon the Jammitors. I think it's the only time we ever saw them, they seem pretty hard to find (at least for us).

I'd be annoyed to have to miss out on TT, but I do agree that it definitely needs an update. It's okay, one more reason to go back after your next trip. Because we need a reason to go back to Disney, no? ;)

Cute sleeping pictures! They made me giggle:lmao:

Thanks! It's fun trying to come up with poses for ride pictures.

Epcot is for sure a park that needs to be divided into several days in order to see most of what it has to offer. Soarin' and The Seas are both not to be missed, but don't worry so much about Ellen's Energy Adventure. It's fine as a time filler and a midday break to get off your feet in air conditioning, but as far as attractions go, it's very low on my list. It's okay, but not *that* interesting.

Love the sleeping pictures! I love the dolphins, too. :goodvibes

Are you sad that they are changing Test TracK? I think I will miss the old ride.

Thanks! I wish my head was turned towards the camera though. Oh well, live and learn.

I LOVE dolphins, they are such great animals!

The first time I tried Test Track (in 2009) I came out pretty disappointed. From the description, I thought it was going to be "edge of your seat" thrills and excitement the whole way. Turns out the tests portion of the ride is pretty tame, and only the speed loop is thrilling. Now that I know what to expect I actually enjoy the ride, but I'm not sad that they are changing it. In fact, I'm very excited to see what they come up with. :wizard:

POP is really nice. Lots of things to explore, yet compact enough that no room is ever that far from everything. I love the bus system there! I think that because bus is the only available mode of transportation for values and mods, the buses seem more efficient. The one time I tried to take a bus from a Deluxe (the Poly) we waited forever.

I love love love our underwater camera! I like swimming a lot, so it's nice to be able to capture those moments as well. Our camera is a Fuji Finepix XP10. I think they are up to XP15 now. It held up really well and worked great most of the time. There were a few occasions (I don't remember if it was in Disney or Cuba) where it became a bit foggy, but that's because we left it in the water too long. It's important to give it breaks as well as to rinse it with fresh water (tap is fine) after use. It's not really good for indoor pictures, but for outdoor and water pics & videos, colors look great. So we had one camera mostly used indoors, and one mostly used during sunny times.
Ron's daughter says she wears her bracelet, though I have never seen her with it. She's not into girly stuff at all, so I was really surprised when she asked us for a charm bracelet as a souvenir. She seemed to like it though. She does NOT want me to raise a girly girl daughter, but I'm not listening to her. You are right, girly stuff is too cute! :cutie:

Day 7 was AWESOME!

I am through Day seven now. The security officers had some fun with you. Love it. We learned how to draw Pluto on a trip a while back. “Crapbag” still remembers how and draws him really well. Since I am not an artist, I did not even do well the first time. Thus, I have not tried since. You both drew him way better than I did. You got a lot of magic shots. We did not get any on our last trip. We love the Beauty and the Beast show too. Xander actually got mad at us about the show, which you will see in my report when I get to that day.

I love how you hid Mike. It had me laughing. That cupcake looks amazing. I have not seen Lights Motor Action, since they added Lightning McQueen. My son would have loved it, so I am sad we missed it. I feel the same way about Indiana Jones. It is all right, but I do not need to see it (each time for you or never again for me). I can watch the other shows over and over again. We did not watch it on our last trip. I love the picture of you with the Evil Queen.

That is a great shot of you and Ron on the Tower of Tower. I agree that some of the strangers looks pretty cool in the picture too. It is awesome that you were able to walk into the Brown Derby. I love the cobb salad there. The filets are all right. How nice of them to give you a special treat! Glad you got some magic even if it was the one place you walked into it without an ADR. Hollywood Studios is my favorite park. If I had to choose between MK and HS for a third day, it would be HS. My older son would agree. Not sure how Connor would feel yet. DH would rather have the extra day at Epcot.

Thanks for the details on the underwater camera. I will do some research on it and consider it. I was NEVER girly growing up and am still not really now. "Crapbag" always makes fun of me for it. I still want to have a daughter and raise her very girly. I've never owned a charm bracelet myself but other than my wedding ring, I do not like wearing jewelry at all. Hopefully, Claudia will like being girly.

I am through all of your Day Eight Updates. The report was so good that I wanted to keep reading. I also did not want to see responses that would give away parts I had not read yet. I will start the Real World updates next time I log in.

There was a 20 minute posted wait when “Crapbag” rode Mission Space, but it took much longer than that for him as well. Disney could do a better job of updating ride times on that. I think Nemo is a cute ride too. You got some great shots of the sea life. Xander was not into it this trip, so we spent very little time looking at them. I love Turtle Talk with Crush too and would watch it even if the kids were not with me.

I am sorry you were not feeling well a couple days ago. I hope you are feeling better. I hope DH gets to have father/daughter time someday. How old is Ron’s daughter? Just curious to see how big of a gap she will have with Claudia.

I love Ellen but have never seen her show at WDW. Ron really looks like he is asleep in the Test Track picture, lol.
