Yuengling

I had never even heard of it until we moved to Florida. It's very popular here and what I usually drink, but I don't drink enough beer of any kind to be that fussy about it. When it's available on tap, I like Bass Ale. I also learn towards Becks, Heiniken and that sort, but any decent (and cold) beer is just fine for me.

Yeungling is my go to cheap beer. If I have the cash, I'll buy Blue Moon or Amstel Light, but comparing it to other supermarket beers (can't stand Bud or Miller) it is much better.

OP, you can find it in any grocery store in that area. Sams carries it too.

DH is a homebrewer & certified in beer tasting . . . sounds like a load of malarkey to me, but he told me he was attending classes & brought home his certificates, so I guess I'll believe him.

Anyway, our backfence neighbor frequently travels to PA for business & always brings DH home a six-pack or two, I believe always the lager. Mind you, DH is usually not a lager drinker & I can't write here his opinion of Budweiser & the like. He enjoys the Yeungling with his supposedly educated & definitely upscale beer drinker's palate.

That is exactly where I would put it. Of the "mass market" beers I think Sam Adams is the best. Now, if Sierra Navada starts getting a little more main stream they will become my favorite Micro-brew. Yuengling is a step down from those IMO.

Yuengling is a decent cheap beer but I would rank it right around Michelob in quality (a half step up from Bud or Miller or Coors).
