You've Got a Friend in Me:TINKGURL & XOKTENOX's Adventures in WDW~UPDATE: 6/9 p.74

Hey ladies!!!!

I love the O'hana pictures! It makes me want to go back and eat breakfast there since it has been a looooooong time! Like our honeymoon long time!!! haha

I'm checking in from a SNOWY, WINDY, Long Island on a snow day! Yes, my job actually closed! This is a miracle :rotfl: Anyway, we basically had a blizzard yesterday/last night and the roads are horrendous.

We'll have to do a lot of pretending to get ourselves transported to the warmth and sunshine of Disney World. Tanya was shocked at the cold while she was here, especially at the fact that we left the cabinet doors open and the water dripping for a couple of nights. She doesn't know anything about stuff like that, since she's a Florida girl. :cool2:

Stay warm and SAFE, everyone!

I hope both of you had a great christmas and enjoy new years! ill be waiting on another update!
kristen: My parents saw Rock of Ages recently and LOVED it..it makes me wanna go see it too..have a great time! :)

Hope everyone has a great New Year's Eve!! Hope to have an update ready soon!

happy new year to all our wonderful dis friends!! Hope 2011 brings you all nothing but health and happiness! (and disney ;))

When we last left off, Tink and her family were just leaving the MK to go back to their resort to swim and relax. Chris and I were leaving DTD to go back to Pop to do the same. We went back to our room and napped until around 3:30. We loved these little naps to recharge for the evening, especially since I was feeling pretty crappy. When we woke up, we put on our bathing suits and coverups and decided it was time to eat some lunch and then walk around Pop to check out the other areas we hadn’t seen yet! It looked like rain so first we figured we’d head inside to eat at Everything Pop food court in hopes the rain would pass. I ordered a Meditteranean flatbread and Chris got some kind of wrap, I want to say it was steak and cheese.

The flatbread was good but had toooo many artichoke hearts or some kind of pesto or something. Chris said his wrap was good. It still hadn’t rained so we figured we’d walk around the gift shop inside to check it out. I also bought myself some Sudafed since my allergy medicine wasn’t doing anything for what was now a full blown cold.

It still hadn’t rained so we purchased a few things (probably more Vinyls, I didn’t write down exactly what), and headed outside to walk around Pop!

Chris and I, Tink and her DF, are 80’s babies!

Then we walked over to the Generation Gap bridge. I’m pretty sure this was before they announced that the new Art of Animation resort was going to be built here. We just wanted to spy on the old buildings.

I found it really creepy that there was a whole set of rooms built that never were finished…

During our walk it had started to sprinkle a little bit but nothing serious. We decided to take a quick dip before heading back to the room to change and freshen up. We swam til about 5:00 before it was time to clean up for the night!

Hello Ladies! It has been a very long time. I've been so busy with student teaching that I just don't have time to post much.. in fact I missed most of your TR. BUT I know that after I'm done in April, I will sit and read it all because it will get me all excited for our trip in May! I've been debating starting a ptr but I'm just worried I'll fall behind.. soo for now it's just a hello.

Tink- I have that Ariel shirt! I ordered it from hottopic.com like last spring (almost a year ago) and kept it hanging in my closet until our next trip! I almost wore it during the summer and finally said NO-I'm waiting for this trip because I really love that shirt! When I saw it on you, I thought OMgoshh I love it.. it's so cute on! :goodvibes

Ohana looks really nice, maybe I'll switch my dining plans and visit there.. this time has been very hard booking because I've been basing it on my parents likings.. or things I think they will like and they tend to be picky- especially my dad.

Love the photo walk around Pop! I wish I could be there right now!

Haha I know, the unfinished rooms from across the lake look so eerie!

This area made me think of Brooklynn and Bella!

I cannot wait to be back there with them again!
I hope the weather is good enough for them to play in the water at least once while we are there, but if not, it will be boiling in July. There will be much time for water play then. ::yes::

Pop pictures make me smile. :hippie:

I had the Mediterranean flatbread once. It was good. I have not tried that wrap, but maybe I will in February.

Cool pictures from Pop Century! I agree it is so weird they never finished the Legendary Years or whatever it was called. But it'll be neat to see the new Animation resort!

So which vinylmations did you guys end up with? I can't remember if you ever posted that. They sure are addicting. haha!

Too funny that you don't trust Chris enough to go on the teacups with him! :lmao:

I can't wait until the new Animation resort is finished.

I love your Pop pictures-- especially of the unfinished rooms!! It is creepy all of the things Disney has left standing-- like all of the River Country water slides.

Jake was looking at the pictures with me last night when I first read the new update and he said, "I WANNA GO SWIMMING WITH THEM!!!"

I love walking around Pop. It's just such a fun place to be!

YAYYYY for the year 1987! And the picture of you with Twister is adorable :goodvibes
