YAY for the fitting!!! Woo hoo!! I love, love, love weddings!!!

You do not know how excited I am for us to eat dinner at Chef Mickey's in February! Light up tinkerbell cup, here we come!! lol

What's up ladies?

Kristen, I hope you are having a great time in Florida! I'm glad it had warmed up for you a bit.

Your evening in Epcot sounds great. Beirgarten is on my list of places to try someday. Do they always sit you with another family?

I've seen that tequila cave but I never had a drink there yet. I love the location of POP... I feel like you are so close to everything there...except MK. :lmao:

Tink- Congrats to your DF for graduating! :woohoo:

Love the pics on the race cars. It looks like the little guy was really enjoying himself.

Your MK evening sounds great. I'm glad the little guy had a blast on SM even if it didn't seem like it at first.

I wondering why you guys waited in line for the monorail and didn't just walk back to the CR?:confused3

So jealous that Kristen is down there enjoying all of the beautiful decorations. I know they're not going to any parks, but just being down there must be wonderful!

Thanks Tim. He was definitely ready to be done with school!

I love those pics from the race cars too. They really captured the excitement.

haha, Splash was a riot!

Well Grandma and Grandpa were tired from walking all day, so we just decided to do the monorail instead of making them walk more.

So jealous that Kristen is down there enjoying all of the beautiful decorations. I know they're not going to any parks, but just being down there must be wonderful!

I was jealous too!! She was nice enough to send me pics throughout the day, which made school go a little better.

I know! Can you believe that 1 year ago today, he proposed?!

Hope finals go well! :thumbsup2

Yay for the dress fitting!!!

Thanks!!

~~July 23, 2010

We woke up around 7 am sad that it was already the last full today before part of my group went home. How could the week be almost gone already?! Of course, as we were getting ready, I got a text saying Little Guy was ready to come over to our room. It was becoming a routine for us now, and we weren’t ready to let it go..

After everyone was all ready, we headed to the elevator and went down to the Concourse level. As we rode the escalator up to the monorail platform, I reminded Little Guy that we were going back to the Polynesian to eat breakfast with Lilo and Stitch at Ohana! Which is why I planned for him to wear the new Stitch shirt I found for him online.

The monorail was packed, so most of us ended up standing, which was fine since we only had to stop at the TTC and then it was our stop. Little Guy was ready to go!:

akdisney381.jpg

I, too, woke up at 7:00 that morning. I really was not feeling too hot. I was so congested and my nose was running like a siv! I, of course, wasn’t going to let that bother me though, we had places to be and people to see! Chris and I showered and got ready and were to the bus stop by 8:15. We took an MK bus to hop onto the monorail to meet Tink and family at the Poly for breakfast at ‘Ohana!

As we pulled up to the Poly, Little Guy and I started saying “Alooooooha!” which then lasted the whole way into the lobby. Haha. We got there around 8:30, so I texted Kristen and let her know that we were going to check-in because the line was getting long. While Dad checked us in, Grandma and Grandpa found a bench to sit on right outside of Kona by the pressed penny machines. The rest of us looked around the upstairs gift shop and then came over to wait for our table.

While we were looking down at the waterfall, we saw Kristen and Chris walk in. They checked-in and came over to wait with us. Little Guy, of course, wanted a pressed penny to add to his collection that he had been making over the week. Kristen was nice enough to give him some change to make one. He thought that was so cool.

We all had to wait quite a while to be seated because HUGE Brazilian tour group (literally like 100 people) had been eating there. Even the waiting area was packed.

452.jpg

It’s no biggie to wait at the Poly though because it’s just so gorgeous.

453.jpg

454.jpg

Chris and I grabbed some delicious Kona coffee from the little stand that turns into the Sushi place (forgot the name!) while we waited.

Eventually, we were all seated. We had a great view of the MK, which made me happy. My group was at a big long table in the middle of the restaurant while Kristen and Chris were over along one of the sides by a window. If we peeked over a few heads, we could see them just fine. We were texting each other the whole meal. And the whole time while we were eating, Little Guy kept saying “Aloha!” “Aloooooha!” “Alooooooooooooooooooooha!” He remembered from the Luau, haha. I got a text from Kristen, “We can hear him from over here!” haha. He wasn’t being loud and annoying, it was just funny because he’d do it randomly.

Here’s mine and Chris’ view…it would have been PERFECT for Wishes!

457.jpg

I was just so happy to be eating at ‘Ohana! We love it there!

I can’t remember what order the characters came, but they were all really great and interactive with not only Little Guy, but us adults as well!

Lilo was in love with Little Guy and kept kissing him on the forehead:

momdisney181.jpg

I can’t remember what they were doing or saying to each other, but I remember we were all laughing:

momdisney180.jpg

As soon as Stitch was on his way over, Little Guy had to get down and show him where he was on his shirt:

momdisney176.jpg

momdisney175.jpg

Stitch walked Little Guy back to his seat and they had to give each other a big hug bye:

momdisney178.jpg

Then Stitch came over and wanted a pic with Sis and I:

momdisney177.jpg

Mickey came over and took his time with all of us:

The Pluto here was hilarious! We loved him:

momdisney188.jpg

Chris and I find the characters are usually pretty quick with us, which is fine since we prefer it that way while we have no kids! Here’s our food (family style)…

459.jpg

Sometime during the meal, all the kids were called up to get maracas for the parade around the restaurant. Pluto led the parade and as he walked by our table, he was really getting down and boogying, so we all started cheering and chanting “Go Pluto! Go Pluto!” We were laughing so hard we were crying. Soon, we saw Cuz and Little Guy going by:

momdisney187.jpg

Little Guy waved bye to us as they continued on and walked right by Kristen and Chris’s table! Kristen texted me that she was tearing up, and of course I was too. It was so much fun to see Little Guy having the time of his life.

I was totally tearing up watching the Little Guy in the parade! I can’t imagine how I’ll be when I have my own kids and bring them to WDW.

462.jpg

463.jpg

Then we saw the rest of the characters…

After the parade was over and Cuz and Little Guy made their way back to our table, our waitress brought over a cupcake and a candle for Grandma and Grandpa’s anniversary. She was really the best waitress ever. She was so nice and actually talked to Little Guy like he was a person and not a baby. Of course, Little Guy had to go over and help them blow out the candle:

akdisney382.jpg

Overall, this breakfast was a success. The food was great, the atmosphere was fun, and the service was nice. We were definitely happy with our choice to take Little Guy there.

I went to the restroom as they were finishing up their cupcake and when I came out, everyone was already out waiting for me! I texted Kristen and apologized that I did not come over and say bye since I didn’t know everyone was going to be done already. She obviously understood and we decided to talk and maybe make plans for later.

I’m pretty sure I left this part out before but before we left we had something we needed to do. If you remember, two nights ago, after we left Tink and her DF at the CR after swimming, we took a taxi back to Pop. Well, I left our luau photos along with a white tank top in the taxi! Not only was I sad to lose a great picture but that thing cost me $34! I was gonna give it a shot and see if there was a way to get it reprinted. We walked upstairs to the photopass table near the gift shop and explained the situation to the CM standing there. She said the pictures are saved for a certain amount of time (2 weeks I want to say?) which we fell into so with a little searching, she found them! She started printing them out so I figured I’d have to pay again for them but next thing I knew, she was giving me to them and wishing me a magical day! I didn’t have to pay for them for a second time! I told her she made my day! Definitely pixie dust right there! After that, Chris and I headed down to the bus stop…we were headed to DTD!

Since it was our last full day, there was no other park to spend it at but the MK! As we rode the monorail over, we talked up a ‘game plan’. Mom, Dad, and Uncle were going to get the stroller and head back to BTMRR to get us all FP’s for later. The rest of us were going to hop on the train and ride it over to Toontown since I wanted Little Guy to see that before it’s gone.

Once we made it past the bag check and finger scanning, we said bye and went our separate ways. Little Guy was so excited to finally ride the train. He hopped on Fiancé’s lap so he could look out:

akdisney386.jpg

He thought it was so cool when we rode by the ending of Splash Mountain. When we pulled into Frontierland station, I told him that we were going to stay on for another stop. He was excited. As we rode past the scenes with Pocahontas singing, of course I had to sing along. He turned to me and said “Shh! Don’t sing!” Evidently I’m not that good. Haha.

We got off at Toontown station and headed over to get in line for the Barnstormer. Grandma and Grandpa found a bench to sit and wait for us. As we walked through the line and he got to see what the ride was, I could tell he was starting to get a little nervous. We tried to make it look as fun as we could. As we got up to the loading area, he decided to ride with Fiancé, so I rode with Sis and Cuz rode by himself. Sis and I rode in front of Little Guy and Fiancé so we could turn around and see how he was doing. He had Fiancé’s arm across his body and was holding on tight. Once we started going down the drop, we could hear him going “Woooo!” and laughing. We pulled into the station and he yells, “It’s over!?!” haha. He ran all the way to Grandma and Grandpa to tell them how “awesome” it was.

As we walked over to the teacups, we met back up with Mom, Dad, and Uncle. Everyone watched while Fiancé, Little Guy, and I got in line. I had to take a pic of the wait time, which was 0!:

320-1.jpg

From line, we could see the Pooh construction:

319-1.jpg

We let Little Guy pick out which teacup he wanted to ride in. As we sat down, we explained to him how to make us spin. He told us he wanted to go real fast. I pretended to be scared the whole time, which made him laugh.

Waiting for the ride to start:

321-1.jpg

I tried to get a good pic while we were going:

322-2.jpg

When we got up out of our teacup and started walking, Little Guy was stumbling because he was dizzy. Fiancé picked him up and we were all laughing so hard. When we got to the rest of our group, he had to show them how he was stumbling.

He hopped in the stroller and we headed through Fantasyland over to IASW for one last ride since it was only 5 minutes. As we left there, Little Guy kept saying, “Bye! See you next time!” By this time, we could use our BTMRR FP’s! So we headed back that way. The whole way there, Little Guy kept asking if this was going to be a big drop like Splash. I told him it was going to be more like the Barnstormer and he thought that was alright. Of course, he had to ask us about 1,000 more times before getting on if there was a big drop like Splash. Once we got to the loading area, he decided he wanted to sit in-between Fiancé and I. He had one arm wrapped around each of our arms. The whole ride, he had mixed emotions. At first he was nervous and scared, then he was laughing and having fun, then he was back to nervous and scared. As we got off, he said that ride was awesome, but Splash was still his favorite!?! Haha.

We decided to do one more ride before heading back to the CR to swim and rest since it was really hot out. We headed over to PoTC since that was Uncle’s favorite ride. The wait time said 20 minutes, but we only ended up waiting 10! Of course, after the drop, Little Guy kept asking us if there were any more drops. For being so scared of drops, we thought it was hilarious he kept saying Splash was his favorite!

As we walked towards the exit and past the Crystal Palace, I could hear the show going on in front of the Castle, so Fiancé and I hurried with Little in the stroller over to watch it. We found the perfect spot where Little Guy could see right from his stroller. He loved it. He waved bye to them all at the end. As we all walked down Main Street, I started to get teary-eyed. We weren’t sure if we were going to be coming back to the MK later, so this was probably the last time there. It was so hard for me to believe that this was going to be Grandma and Grandpa’s last time ever in the MK. It was hard to leave because once we made it out the exit and onto the monorail, it was real. There was no turning back.

And once we got on the monorail, we had him pose for the camera- his “Splash Mountain face” we call it now. haha!:

akdisney388.jpg

While Tink and her family were on their way to the MK, Chris and I waited for a bus to DTD. I remember sitting there for a decent amount of time. A bus pulled up and a lady was trying to get on with her stroller unfolded. The bus driver kept telling her she needed to fold it up and she proceeded to argue and fight with him over it. I just wanted to yell “Lady, the rules apply to everyone! There are no exceptions just for you!” People are ridiculous sometimes I tell ya!

Anyway, eventually the DTD bus came. It was around 11:00 at this point. When we finally got to DTD (bus ride took forever!!), we headed right to World of Disney. We had a coupon which was good until noon for 20% of our purchase so we wanted to get a lot of our souvenirs bought at this point. I don’t remember everything we got but I remember we got on line about 5 mins before noon with a few t-shirts, measuring spoons and cups for a friend of mine, bowls that the same friend asked me to pick up for her, a few things for Chris’ niece, a towel that you got for like $15 with a $50 purchase and, what would become our newest obsession, 2 Vinylmations. It started with 2, wait until you see how many we went home with! I’m sure we had a few other things in this purchase too.

472.jpg

Another panorama attempt…
473.jpg

Our next stop was, one of my favorites, Basin! It’s now a MUST for me to get some bath bombs when I go to Basin. My favorite scent is Florida Sunshine!
477.jpg

Next, Chris and I tried out some of the sugar scrubs they had. Yummm they smelt so good and they made our hands feel so smooth!

Chris being womanly haha
474.jpg

475.jpg

Then we saw these
476.jpg

Make your own soy candles! We thought these would be really cool to get for each of our moms plus I also grabbed one for a friend of mine whose birthday was a few days after we got home. It was really cool to be able to make these ourselves!

Next destination: Once Upon a Toy! Pics along the way…
478.jpg

Yummmm!
479.jpg

481.jpg

480.jpg

We checked out the Toy Store and bought something else for Chris’ niece (I really need to write our purchases down!) as well as a new antenna topper for my car.

By this point we had spent a lot of money in a short period of time lol we decided to head back to Pop for a midday break and swim!

Great updates! I hope you had a great time in FL Kristen! Enjoy this upcoming weekend with your families!

Nice updates, girls!

Thumbs up for your 'Ohana breakfast - good food and the characters in the tropical gear are fun for photos. Little Guy venturing onto the thrill rides is cute. Funny that he told you not to sing!

I can smell Basin even when I just see it in pictures. Love that place!

Have you seen the finished product at the Winnie the Pooh queue? Looks very nice for kids to have things to do while they wait.

Mad Tea Party was closed in October. They were taking the roof off.

If I don't get back here before the weekend, I hope you both have a great holiday break with your families and friends!

What a great breakfast! 'Ohana's changed quite a bit since the last time I've been there (back in 2001!). They didn't have a parade or Lilo & Stitch.

Little Guy is quite the thrill seeker going on so many rides! :goodvibes
