Completely blocked - you couldn't see any channels at all. The app completely would not open, we just got a message saying we were out of our local area and it could not be used. We contacted customer service and they said that was correct - only one location per account.
I should say I'm talking about Hulu plus - the one that's basically like cable with live TV channels and includes local channels and costs $60ish a month, not the cheaper version.
With YouTubeTV, we have the exact same service at both locations, including the local channels from our main home. We haven't had any issues with it at all.
