Youre going to Disneyland? Thats in Florida right?

Its me Mark
From Disney College Program-Frump Style you dont remember me? Well this is awkward.
Anyway, I am officially writing my first trip report.
A lot of people wanted me to take over Jess report for a day but that never came to fruition. So I am starting my own!
Before I begin I would just like to announce to everyone that I do in fact know that Disneyland is not in Florida. Its just that a lot of people dont realize
that they are two different places and I think its funny!
Lets begin with the most important part of the trip report!

Hello, I am Mark and my love for Disney is a rather new one.
As you may know I participated in the Disney college program in spring of 2013.
I was in entertainment and had some really great friends, such as Wreck-it Ralph, The Beast and Goofy to name a few.
I went on my program with my best friend Jess, unfortunately on May 24th, 2013 my program came to an end and I had to leave.
It was one of the hardest things I have ever had to do. Prior to my college program I had only been to Disney World twice. Once in May 2012 and the first time in April 2000 talk about a gap year.
Also before my program I liked Disney. After my program I loved Disney, its like a virus and once youre infected it doesnt go away. (You like that simile?)
NOW I AM OBSESSED.
If you follow me on Instagram (markjamesp) you probably know that I am famous for the Character Selfie now everyone is doing it.
I may not have been the first but lets pretend I am, just for my ego. Expect a lot of Selfies.

Favorite Park: Magic Kingdom (Studios is a close second)
Favorite Character dining: 1900 Park Faire/ Chef Mickeys
Favorite Signature Restaurant: Jiko

Favorite Character to Meet: Peter Pan
Favorite Resort: Disneys Animal Kingdom Lodge

This is my Mom; she is the one that is joining me on this trip to Disneyland.
She has been to Disney World 5 ½ times (The half is because she went down to drop me off for my college program and we stayed at Coronado Springs but didnt go to any parks.)
The first time she went was in 1972, at that time (as most of you probably know) the park had only been open for a year.
That is so cool, that was when you had to have tickets to ride the rides, the A-E tickets. My Mom also went with my Dad in December of 1992, my parents always joke that my real first time at Disney World was that time because my mom was pregnant.

Trip Details:
We will be in Disneyland from August 9th to August 11th but our trip begins on the 7th because we are going to San Francisco first.
My dad will also be on this trip but he has to stay in San Francisco at a conference when we go to Anaheim.
We are staying at a good neighbor hotel and we wont have a dining plan.
I am very excited because we will only have two days of parks but thats ok because there are only 2 parks.
Meeting characters is my mission on this trip. We already have two reservations for character dining; those will remain a secret until the actual trip report.
I hope this teaser gets you excited for my trip because I know I am excited.

I loved your character selfie thing you had going on during your DCP that Jess wrote about. I think that is hysterically awesome. I'll be expecting a ton over here.
