You're Favorite DLR Ride

For my 300th post, I'll do something fun. I posted a "Favorite Land" back in July, so I figure I'll poll you on what you're favorite ride is. I'm SURE I'll leave out someone's favorite because I'm limited to 12 (sorry to all you Jungle Cruise, Matterhorn, Grizzly River fans), but I'll try to put up what I think is the best.

You can post your Top 3 here. I'm just curious what the #1 is, and I'd like to know the other favorites as well. Have fun! Let's hear it!

My #1 is definitely Spalsh Mt. Perfect combo of story and thrill.
#2. Star Tours
#3. Radiator Springs Racers

I suspect this won't have a runaway winner like your best land poll, which we all saw coming

Pirates should be a top contender though and is my top pick. I don't think I can list the reasons, to me it's just quintessential Disneyland and absolutely perfect (ok, they could drop a Jack Sparrow or two and it would be even better.)

Indy's my second. Great storytelling, effects and overall imagineering. Love it!

Thunder rounds out my top 3 - this ride shot up my top ten list with the refurb. The new effects are great and show that imagineering is alive and well at DL.

**While no DCA rides make my resort top 3 list, Soarin' is by far my favorite ride at this park. I never get tired of it, it just makes me happy when I'm on it.

Oh, darn! Can't believe I didn't bump small world for that one. BTW, if you ever venture to WDW, Rockin'Rollercoaster is similar to Screamin', except it's indoors in the dark, and takes off even faster!

this is really hard. I love them all so much.

Of the "classic" (not necessary original, but significantly older) rides my top 2 are HM and POTC, in that order. Followed by Space Mountain

Of the "newer" rides: I'd have to say Star Tours II and Splash. Followed by Indy. (hon mention to RSR)

Overall, honestly, I'm kinda surprising myself to say that I'd have to give the nod to Star Tours. It was pretty revolutionary for its time, and Star Tours II has, perhaps, the best "replayability" in the entire park with its random segments. I'm also a giant star wars nerd, so there's that. I also enjoy the queue.

That would have been easier if we could separate the parks. Thunder and Pirates are tied for me. One night in July we closed DL down on Big Thunder and the CM let us ride 5 times in a row without getting off. It was so awesome that I had to choose that as my fav.

That said, I could go on ToT repeatedly as well - my fav ride on DCA side.

I'm so sad there is no room for Space, Soarin', and RSR on my list. Rentayenta is correct...it is like having to choose your favorite child!

I agree, it was hard to just pick one (and not necessarily just from the list), but I went with Haunted Mansion because that's the ride my family always does the most and first. Though...we also do Buzz Lightyear a lot. We also used to Pirates a lot until we kept getting wet (as in solid wet patches that took a while to try) on it and then not as often because I don't like being wet!

Always tough but I chose Indiana Jones because it's an exciting ride, the queue is fun, and theming of the ride itself is amazing.

Second would POTC - love the drops in the DL version and third would be California Screamin, for now.

Picking my favorite ride is so hard!! I think my favorite ride is Big Thunder Mountain, then Space Mountain, Radiator Springs Racers, Indiana Jones Adventure, Pirates of the Caribbean. I have too many favorite rides!!

I chose Space Mtn but honestly could have gone with Space, Splash, Big Thunder, Cal Screamin, TsMM, Star Tours, ToT, RSR, Pirates, Indy, Canoes, or Soarin.

No trip feels complete until I've done all of those.

Yeah, that's like top on my list of things I want to do at WDW if I ever get to go there!

#1 The fastest ride in the wilderness - BTMRR
A close #2 is Star Tours.

I swear this changes every trip. I used to not care about BTMRR but after my last trip I think it's my favorite one now.

Tough poll for sure. I have to agree with your description of Splash Chris, You just can't beat floating by the "cartoon" world of the character's houses, then into the madcap audio animatronic atemps of Brer Fox/bear as they try to catch Brer rabbit, zip through the story setup toward the build-up to the 5 story drop, and a happy ending!

I also have to give honorable mention to the plane ride to southern California, cause I know I'm on my way to my "Laughin Place"!!

Mine is the haunted mansion. POTC is a very close second.
