Your worst meal @ WDW and your best meal @ WDW...

Best - breakfast at CRT with the Princesses; Princess Jasmine cut up my 4yo son's pancakes and he was entranced!

Worst - Lotus Blossom in Epcot

Best Meal: For me it is always Ohana's - never disappointed. For DH is is the CA Grill (which would have been mind to if I had orderd the steak)

Worst Meal: Tie between the Sci Fi Drive in and Brown Derby.

We now only eat at one place in MGM - the Primetime Cafe!

~Amanda

Best: Japanese restaurant at Epcot where you sit and watch them cook it - quite entertaining and the food was delicious; San Angel Inn-the food was great and the atmosphere couldn't be beat; Earl of Sandwich-it was delicious, quick, very clean.

Worst: Don't really have anything. Haven't experienced anything we would consider "bad"

Best : Yachtsman Steak House
(but I also have to recommend Room Service, especially if you have a balcony)

Worst : Crystal Palace Buffet. Ugh.

Just got back from WDW today:

Best: Boma - WOW! Great service & what a variety.
Best for DH: 'Ohana - He could have eaten off those skewers all week.

Worst: Cape May Cafe - They did not refill the food (Ceasar salad , shrimp, potatoes) and the meat cutter was acting as if she was giving her own arm if you asked for a second piece, not to mention that there was a 25 minute lag between cuts of beef being available. By the time the manager was found to complain to, his comment was "it's there now", but we had already given up & were eating dessert. (Luckily we were told by another very unhappy family next to us that thy had much better service earlier that week) PS - the waitress was great though!

I just had to put my 2 cents in on this one...

Best-California Grille (we'll be back 7/19)!!!!!!!!!!!
2nd runner up-Brown Derby

Worst-Sci Fi-Food was practically inedible; even the atmosphere couldn't make up for it. Waitress didn't even care that none of us had hardly touched our food.
2nd runner up-Fultons Crab House in DTD. Very expensive, indifferent almost rude server, poor to mediocre seafood

Best counter service-Tusker House- AK; the rest are pretty much the same

Best buffet-Cape May Cafe (maybe we'll try Bomas this trip)

EASY choices :

BEST : California Grill
from anticipation right through dessert with MK fireworks -- I can't begin to express what a magical experience this was for us

WORST : Hollywood & Vine
Fantasmic Dining Experience - empty platters; chaotic; sundae area a total disaster

Best meal-California Grill at the Contemporary Resort
Worst meal-Alfredo's in Epcot-UGHHH!

Best counter service in epcot: Tangerine Cafe (in Morrocco) this place never seems to be busy, and the food is wonderful.

Best dinner: Biergarten... a must see on every trip. (but hey, I can't get German food at home unless I cook it myself)

Worst counter: the "Yukitori" in Japan. I agree with all the bad things that have been said about it, especially the mystery meat "chicken"

Worst dinner: Rainforest Cafe... too slow, nothing special

We went to sci-fi and split a burger, no problems. Nothing special, but nice to see the place once.

Columbia Harbour house was nice for lunch last trip. Get a seat upstairs in the windows over the walkway so you can people-watch :smooth:

Worst: Crystal Palace - Gave it two chances and it was awful both times. The service, character interaction, and food was equally awful both times.

Best: Best is really hard. Most of the food doesn't stand out to me but the experience does so I have to pick 'Ohana's for breakfast. We had the BEST time at this and the food was really good for breakfast. Other favorites would be Teppanyaki and Alfredo's.

Worst: This one is easy - DEFINITELY prime time cafe - NEVER again.

Best: Very tough choice....I could narrow it down to two - Liberty Tree Tavern & Brown Derby!

We just returned from a trip in June, and after reading these posts I can't wait to go back and try Ohanas. But my votes would be:

Best: Liberty Tree Tavern-lunch and Hollywood & Vine Buffet-dinner (my kids loved the sundae station)
Worst-Donald's Breakfastasaurus/Coral Reef for value

OK... since I had given a few choices for best and worst before, let me clarify it to one of each...

Best: BOMA (when I can go to an "unusual" buffet and the entire family, including kids, finds lots to eat, it's a winner in my book!)
Worst: Liberty Tree Tavern (All of the food was so salty, it was tough to enjoy.)

---Paul in Southern NJ

Best: Yachtsman Steakhouse

Worst: Concourse Steakhouse (Who the heck puts mesquite flavoring on prime rib - nasty!)

We just returned from 8 days at WDW and our opinion is:

BEST: California Grill followed by a close second: Yachtsman Steakhouse.

WORST: Mara at the AKL. One night we wanted to stay in and ordered a pizza. It had no taste and was awful. Cardboard would have tasted better.

Best: Okay, I have had many fabulous meals, so I can't pick just one:
Jiko
California Grill (DH loves fish, I am picky... this was the best fish (and sushi) I have ever had! Wine was outstanding too!)
Le Cellier... our perennial favority

Worst: Not impressed with House of Blues or Fulton's. I got sick after a meal at Alfredo's (but it might not have been the calamari)

Just returned in a few weeks ago......

New Fave: Teppanyaki ( Japan @Epcot)

New Worst: CRT awful for lunch! too heavy!

Best--dessert at the Kona and dinner at Crystal Palace. Fabulous characters, especially for a family with mixed attitude children--oldest and youngest love characters, middle one hates them.

Worst--well it is not showing up on the tally, but I know I saw at least one person who agreed with me---O'hana's! I know it has the top votes for best dinner but we hated it. Bad service--of course some of our party were really annoying and some arrived late and just sort of smudged in and I will admit that if I had been waiting on us, I would have been annoyed. But the service was REALLY slow before that happened. Left hungry. And that woman leading the kids!!!! Oh my gosh she could not have been more annoying! Just a really bad experience and no way would we go back.
