Just wanting to report back that DH was IA for both AA personal cards. Thanks again!
Barclays has always been the most random issuer of credit cards in my experience. The last 3 personal/business cards I have opened with them I had to monkey branch my line of credit from the last card opened to the new one and each time they grilled me about not using the card often and recent inquiries. If there's one tip for Barclays it's never reduce your credit line chasing auto approval and always apply for a new one before you close out your biggest lines of credit; they love to do that credit line swap when they get finicky.I applied for the Barclay's AA card and got the "we need to review" and then was denied. No idea why, credit score 820+, under 5/24 if that even matters. I do have the Barclay's HA card I got less than a year ago, but that's the only other card with them. Really annoyed.
Ok so say I got super busySince it’s different banks you could apply today if you wanted to.
Qatar doesn't release J seats for summer travel at the normal calendar open. I booked our 4 J seats to Cape Town, SA in October when they released all their summer award tickets. I was able to book all 4 on the same flight with AA miles, 70K/ticket.For those of you considering the safari next year, start monitoring flights now. I was able to snag 2 Premium seats on AF JFK to NBO for 130K + $643 in Aug. It's not lie flat, but I know I'll be very low on pts because I'm going to be scrounging for the Marriott pts and I also have a Europe trip in June. So this may be the best I can do. I'll continue to monitor for lie flat, but I figured premium was better than regular economy. Now I have to hope for a good deal on the return flight.
This is good advice. Adding to that, I have found that if I put spend on an existing Barclay card before applying for another then I will get approved.Barclays has always been the most random issuer of credit cards in my experience. How much spend do you mean? A few small purchases or more significant? This is good advice. Adding to that, I have found that if I put spend on an existing Barclay card before applying for another then I will get approved.
I picked up the Wyndham business earner card last year and after meeting the MSR I put it away. I knew I’d be applying for the Aviator card or a Hawaiian card this month. So last month I started using the Wyndham card for gas since it earns 8x. I’ve done something similar each year I have had an Aviator business and plan to get a personal. A few purchases a month or so before applying for a new card. Ever since I started that I have not had to call recon. How much spend do you mean? A few small purchases or more significant?

Quick question. I need to get a business card ASAP. Options are trying for the NLL Delta Gold Biz (I already have the card, and rarely use the miles, LOL). Hawaiian Biz, seems low (50k). but I know this is disappearing. Atmos Biz, (80k). Seems like it might be the way to go, but then again, does it matter the Hawaiian Biz is low, since it's disappearing?
WWYD?
Did you get a denial reason? Could just be identify verification. Or number of inquiries. How many inquiries have you had in the last 6 and 12 months on the credit report they pulled?
No not at all you can apply anytimeOk so say I got super busyand didn't see this advice until now (next day) is it too late?
If it were me, I would do the Delta ( I am dying for NLL for that card, but I can't find one), but I use Delta miles as my main flight currency.Quick question. I need to get a business card ASAP. The Hawaiian biz isn't going away. Link
I'd like to go for the Atmos biz, but I'm not confident about approval. Reports are they pull D&B biz reports. With a BoA deposit account, under 7/12 new accounts is supposed to be good, but with biz I'm above that.
Well then, that throws a wrench, LOL. I see a link for an 85K offer on the Atmos, that ight be the front runner. The Hawaiian biz isn't going away. Link

Doesn't Doc have reports of a NLL link? I haven't tried it. We can non-rev on Delta now, so I'm honestly banking those and no idea when/if I'll use them, LOL. I say they are my absolute back up plan for getting home when needed I guess, LOL.If it were me, I would do the Delta ( I am dying for NLL for that card, but I can't find one), but I use Delta miles as my main flight currency.
Here's my dp if it helps give you some courage. Instant approval. No deposit account/relationship. 1/12 personal accounts. 6/12 including biz.
