Your worst meal @ WDW and your best meal @ WDW...

BEST dinner - It's gotta be Boma. I would like to reprint my review from October 03, but I don't wanna bore you guys. Suffice to say, the various foods from soups to desserts were excellent (except for the pap!), and I'm a VERY picky eater. Service was top notch.

As outstanding as our experience at Boma, it's hard not to pick Whispering Canyon because I'm a BBQ freak!

BEST breakfast - probably Main Street Bakery. Chef Mickey's was OK, the food was avg and the experience was fun, but I just felt so "blah" after eating there. Ohana was a little better with its family style.

WORST meal - ABC Commissary. Toddlers left to their own inventions in a kitchen could make tastier food.

One bit of advice: try a turkey leg, just don't do it at Blizzard Beach!

Worst, Toy Story Pizza Planet

Best, Beaches and Cream, Paco's Bill Cafe. I believe that is the name. Great Fixin's Bar

Best: There have been some great nominees, but c'mon....without a doubt, the best, highest quality, most outstanding dining experience in all of WDW is unquestionably VICTORIA & ALBERT'S. A near perfect restaurant.

Worst: We've been fortunate. Haven't had such a bad experience that we'd call it "the worst resturant on the planet," or one that "we'll never set foot in again, even if it was free."

One last thought: these threads are always interesting. But one thing always happens that annoys me. Because of something negative mentioned here, someone who had their heart set on a particular place gets totally apprehensive and now leans against going.

I say........GO AND TRY FOR YOURSELF. If you were dreaming of going to Brown Derby (as I did last week and had a SUPER lunch), then by all means GO. If you don't, you might be missing out on something really, really nice.

Bon appetit!

Great advice!

Someone reading this would think Sci-Fi was horrible. Even before we ate there, I had second thoughts based on bad things I'd read here. It turned out to be great. We had a 5:15 PS and were seated within 15 min, ordered burgers (even though absent from the dinner menu) and I had a baked potato with mine. The food was fine, the movie clips and decor were great, and the kids had a blast. The worst part was that we bought those stupid electric ice-cubes, and they lasted about 15 minutes after we left the restaurant.

I have to agree- my dd and I really want to try Tony's... we aren't going to avoid it because of this thread, but there are some restaurants we probably WILL try because of the thread!

Best WDW Dinner.... Hmmm, there are so many good ones. Teppanyaki- Japan in epcot or `Ohana. They are both so good!

Worse meal at WDW... My father liked it, but I really didn't- HOUSE OF BLUES. Nice atmosphere, food- not so good.

Best- There are alot but DW and i both vote for The Brown Derby. Everything was great and if they can provide service like that when they are that busy they are good. We followed up with our first ride on Rockin Rollercoaster, DUH!, glad to report everything stayed put...barely.

Worst- Hate to put this down but Akershus mainly because the food was not our style but i bet a Norwegian would love it.

Hope this thread continues, have been reading up on some of the votes, thanks:wave:

Worst - Sci Fi Dine-In Theater; we tried it a second time and it was absolutely GROSS! Our server was rude and made it obvious that he didn't want to be there.:crazy2:

Best - Crystal Palaceprincess:

Best - Boma ... could just live off their soup and salad!
Worst - Chef Mickey's -- Dinner -- food was blah, atmosphere was too manic

Worst - Hollywood and Vine - the server, the food, the manager, it was all horrible!!

Best - Crystal Palace for breakfast and Cape May Cafe for dinner

There are so many I love though! It was tough to pick.

Worst meal for the money: tie between Flying Fish, Chef's de France and Coral Reef

Best meal for the money, and my personal pick for the best overall value in and around WDW: The Chef's Table at Victoria and Alberts

LOL, this made me smile :) . With over a month between this and your original post, I'm sitting here with a mental picture of the World's sleepiest 7 year old! :p

Best meal would be Teppanyaki and the worst meal would be the pizza from Spoodles. That is the only pizza I have ever had that I could not even finish.

SJUguy

I loved the California Grill and also 50s Prime Time. My worst experience was hands down TONY'S TOWN SQUARE at MK. I am a picky vegetarian and after screwing up my order several times, they charged me $20 for plain spaghetti noodles with melted butter. GRRRRRR!

Best-Victoria and Alberts.
Worst....I dont' really know. I really think I enjoyed everyth

Worst meal - Probably Big River Brewing Works or whatever it's called (MISERABLE place) or surprisingly, Wolfgang Puck's which I was all set to enjoy. Big River had bad food and rude service, and Puck's had mediocre food and the servers seemed snooty to me.

Best meal - No contest! Beaches and Cream! Their burgers are my favorite in the world (not just the World!). It's the #1 reason I hope to get back to WDW someday! ;)

Petunia...$20 for noodles with butter???????? That is a CRIME!!!!
