Your worst meal @ WDW and your best meal @ WDW...

Worst Meal: Definitley, no question about it, the counter service shack in the Mexico pavilion at WS. Not only was the food horrible, but the people running it were well beyond rude!!

Best Meal: This is a tough one. I'd have to say its a tie between dinner at the Yachtsman Steakhouse and a burger at Beaches and Cream. Don't know if they still have them, but the sauteed mushrooms that I had with my steak at Yachtsman were out of this world. You can't beat the burgers at B&C, although you may have quite a wait to get in. My suggestion would be carry out if your room is close by.

Favorites: Jiko at AKL, Wolfgang Puck's Cafe at West Side DTD, California Grill, Kimonos at the Swan, Alfredos at World Showcase

Least Favorites: Sci Fi Dine in Theatre at MGM, Big River Grille (and I used to be a fan), and CRT breakfast

Best: I would have to say Boma, Le Cellier and Biergarten

Worst: Have not have any really bad meals, but I didn't care for Tony's. Small portions and bland food.

Just returned 6/5 - first trip in 18 years and DH's first ever!

Table:
Our favorite meal was hands down OHANA!! Loved EVERYTHING!
Our 2nd favorite was AK RFC (with voucher - $74 of food for $31!) - the buffalo wings were WONDERFUL! So was the Primal Steak and the Key Lime Pie!

Counter:
Favorite was Peco Bill's.
Beaches & Cream also very good

WORST:
Sci-Fi, though, the onion rings were EXCELLANT. The sandwich, not good.

And dishonorable mention to Spoodles. Just lacking in portion size for the prices, and atmosphere, and service. ANother dishonorable mention to Boatwright's for poor service.

hard to pin down one best...I'll try:

Best Meal/Experience - Yachtsman Steakhouse. Let me caveat thi statement by saying that I'm talking about several years ago. We use to go every trip. Service was second to none. We had a favorite waiter - Roberto. Best steak I've ever had. We skipped a couple of years and went back the prices went up so drastically that I'm just not as impressed anymore. I remember for me and my DH it was about an $80 experience - and worth every penny. Now, it's about a $110 - $120 experience. I have a hard time justifying a meal over $100 for two.

A close second would be Artist Pointe.

Worst Meal - As far as the food itself - I'd say Sci-Fi. Two words:
DRIED UP.

Worst Experience - We had a horrible experience at Citricos. Yep...Citricos. Not really the service - the food. My husband's lamb was over-cooked - sent it back 3 times. My steak was over-cooked - although they got it "almost right" the 2nd time. We were so disappointed as we had heard such good things about this place. Never again!

Best: CRT dinner
Cosmic Ray's Lunch--great burger, good selection, lots of room

Worst: San Angel Inn (twice for lunch). I love AUTHENTIC Mexican food, but this was bland and boring. Take a boat ride, walk around, but go elsewhere to dine.

Well, I know that many will disagree with me but we had an awful meal at Alfredo's. DH had an upset stomach/vomitting afterwards. Best Meal...LTT. The food and atmosphere make it a great choice!

Worst - Fulton's Crab House (3 times; there will NOT be a fourth try!) Nothing else comes close to the tragedy of these meals.

Best - Jiko, with Narcoossee's, Artist's Point, Brown Derby, and Yachtsman's Steakhouse getting honorable mention.

Best Dinner: California Grill - fantastic pasta, hot rolls, pleasant servers and a very contemporary feel (if you'll pardon the pun!)

Worst Dinner: Restaurant Marakesh - Just plain dire. Tries too hard to be Moroccan, but forgets about one important thing - adding any hint of flavour to the sterotypical and massively overpriced menu. Avoid at all costs.

Best Lunch: Big River Grille - Straightforward, tasty and reasonably priced food, attentive waiting staff and a nice place to sit and relax at lunch when you're visiting EPCOT (The honey mustard chicken sandwich is amazing).

Worst Lunch: Any counter service pizza in WDW - Small, generic 4 bits of pepperoni, over/undercooked, greasy, and generally rubbish. If I had to put this in the form of a restaurant, I'd say Pizza Planet, but any pizza place could have the same said about it.

I realise two of my choices buck the trend a bit, but I just guess it shows that tastes do differ dramatically, and that some people just have bad luck with some restaurants.

Also, I've never really had an issue with service in WDW... a lot of you folk would probably have kittens if you came to some restaurants over here, service is generally a LOT slower, and most people don't care if you enjoy your meal or not.

Worst Meal - O'hana. Our waitress was unattentive and the food was stone cold. It was by far the worst meal ever at Disney.

Best Meal - Jinko. We had a wonderful server and the food was delicious. From start to finish it was an exceptional dining experience.

Best 'Quick' meal - cantina outside Mexico on the lagoon. Had a craving for a good Taco Salad, and THEY Delivered!

Worst meal (overall) - cantina outside Mexico on the lagoon. Remembered the great taco salad, took others to show em just how good it was, and They Delivered... a mild case of Food Poisoning.

Favorite meal: the chicken salad at Peco Bill's: it was amazingly good. I wasn't expecting much, so I was surprised at how good it was.....not a lot of chicken, but what was there was perfect--grilled nicely, moist, tasty....and the slaw and vegetables were great. Loved it so much I went back to MK to have it again. A close second: the fried chicken at HDDR. Very tasty.

I won't say this was bad, but I didn't like the chicken tenders at the Harbor House. Too much breading.

Best - <B>Boma</B> - first night of my honeymoon. :D Loved it the other times as well.

Worst - <B>Brown Derby</B>. Not impressed whatsoever. Snobby waiter, no service, mediocre food. Will not return.

Honorable mentions -
<B>'Ohana</B> and <B>Marakkesh</B>. Have loved both every time we have gone.

I really can't think of anything that would be bad enough to be considered the worst so I will give two of my favs...

California Grill - Delicious Food with a wonderful view and the service was awesome as well.

Whispering Canyon Cafe - I never laughed so hard while eating dinner.

Been waiting for an updated tally? Here it is:

Wow! It really is in the eye (or taste buds) of the beholder, isn't it?

Best meals:

Table service - 'Ohana, LeCellier
Buffet - Boma, hands down
Counter Service - Tusker House

Worst:
Like many others, I've never had a really bad experience. But

Table service - Concourse Steakhouse. It was New Year's Eve, and the service was abysmal, and just didn't live up to the expectations of the menu
Buffet - 1900 Park Faire for dinner. Not horrible, just not up to snuff.
Counter Service - Pizzafari. Gummy crust, a heavy hand with the sauce ... but breadsticks and a hot Italian sandwich were just fine. Fast food is fast food, after all.
