Your worst cooking disaster?

I made some slop for dinner my kids hated it and dh is going to have to eat it for dinner.

When I was maybe 11 or 12 my friend and I were making cookies. We had the mixer going and I don't remember exactly what happened. I was leaning in toward the mixer and somehow my hair (which was extremely long) got caught in the beater! The dang thing kept whipping around and my hair was soooo tangled. I was screaming for my friend to turn it off but she was laughing too hard. Once she turned it off my grandma had to cut my hair out of the mixer. I had a bizarre spot of missing hair for quite some time and needless to say the cookies got thrown away.

I made bread once that was so hard a dog biting it couldn't crack the crust!

I was 12. I had to make Mexican Hot Chocolate for a presentation at school. I was also making it with my former friend. The recepie called for three baking chocolate squares, but we added three boxes of baking chocolate!

Everyone loved it, though.

Who doesn't love chocolate?!
