your special place?

My favorite spot is in the WS near France. There are a few tables right next to the wall beside the kiosk selling champagne. There's nothing better than sipping champagne while waiting for Illuminations to start!

One of my :earsgirl: favorites is by the back of Cindy's Castle there is a little fountain there and my lil Sis always takes a picture there in the same pose. Every time we go down. It is so great because we see how she has grown from year to year.

Just sitting there watching the people and relaxing its so beautiful and very magical. :wizard:

We don't really do much of sitting around people watching- but when I read this:
Our fave place is just to the left of the magic hat in mgm theres a little refreshment place we love to sit there and watch people go buy
I realized we DO sit on every trip over in the area to the right of the hat near (before you go under the arch thing there) the Mermaid/etc. area. I think maybe because it's usually shaded and has lots of seating there (the long brick area there that everyone uses to sit on- in addition to several benches in that one area). So basically it's the one area we've found that we could all have a seat and rest for a minute. Has a vendor there too so we usually get a drink, some popcorn and chill for atleast a few minutes there.

AND we occasionally take a "breather' in that area behind the castle where the fountain/water area is.. but we usually stand there looking over to the front area (in front of the castle). Not usually any seats to be had there (all taken) so we don't stay long. LOL

Sitting upstairs at Harbour House restaurant in the MK. It's empty. quiet and you can look down on the river as well as the Haunted Mansion queue.

Sitting right in front of the pineapple swirl counter in adventureland, by the swiss family treehouse...yuumyyy.

In England in Epcot, the little terrace by the little park in front of the shops inside England.

Outside Balcony in any Polynesian Resort overlooking the lagoon at night watching the fireworks.

I mean I can go on and on and on...

I love the stairs going up to CRT. I love every inch of the WS. I love standing and waiting to catch the monorail at the resorts. I love the way the monorail smells....it smells like my childhood! I love walking around the Poly. I love ALL the restaurants. I love starting to walk down Main St, seeing that beautiful castle and having that warm feeling in my heart!!

o i also now quite enjoy PI hehe...I might be sentimental, but I'm still a lush!

hahah yes i love the way the monorail smells and i'm not afraid to admit it!!! I also love the sound the doors make when they close and the little man who talks on the speakers...if he wasnt a million years old I would hope to marry him some day, clearly only if Prince Phillip does pan out! :hyper: ooo ooo oo AND I love when he talks in spanish!!! hes so exotic...so dreamy! :faint:

Have sooooo many favorites!

1) Grand Floridian Lobby when the bad or piano is playing
2) The swing on beach at the Grand Floridian at nite when it's quiet-just to get some quiet time with my sweetie :love2:
3) Standing in the middle of Main Street USA when the park is nearly empty, looking at the beautiful castle and taking in the atmosphere of MS (Beautiful sights, sounds & smells)
4) Adventure Land at night near the Pirates of the Carribean.
5) Right near the Tower of Terror

Oh! Just too many to mention! :jumping1:

~ the benches just beyond where Off Kilter plays in the World Showcase

~ the benches at the Boardwalk, in the evening...enjoying some ice cream :)

~ the rocking chairs near the Hall of Presidents

~ the garden next to The American Adventure

~ on the ledge near the dancing fountains at Epcot

I could sit in any of those places for hours and be happy....

Ours is the garden in UK Its shaded and not much traffic and you can just sit and relax and eat are fish and chips and drink are drinks.

I wholeheartedly second that opinion! Our little family of four had walked our legs off at Epcot this June. It was about 5:30 and the rest of the bunch (not caring anything about World Showcase, the  's) headed back for the monorail and the Poly. I decided to walk the Showcase alone. Stopped for fish & chips, made my way over to that quiet little spot and sat in the sprinkling rain eating. Knowing the others were soon to be happy in their pool for the evening, it was just a great feeling sitting in a pretty, cool spot and knowing I had all evening to just wander the nations and savor them.

*The smoking area at Pirates of The Carribean.Right before the park closes there is nobody around. We also got a half way decent view of Wishes. It was nice because the 'Big Boom Booms' weren't loud enough to scare out lil guys.

*The rocking chiars outside of The Hall of Presidents. Its the perfect spot to eat a funnel cake and watch everyone get ready for Spectro.

*The benches in front of the lagoon in Germany. Its never crowded and its a good spot for a snack if the seaguls aren't out :scared: .Even better if the clock chimes.

Favorites...

Tables before the bridge in WS on the way to China from Germany.

Dockside benches at the bottom of the Monorail ramps at MK.

The benches at the dancing fountains near Imagination in FW.

The Rose Garden down near the water in MK.

What used to be an all-time fav was sitting on a bench in the Galaxy Theatre watching a show. :sad2: Hope someone is reading this.

There's a ledge in the front of the Morroccan pavilion that faces the main walkway. I love sitting there eating my baklava and having a Moorish coffee. Watching people go by. The kids with their kidcot masks that they are so proud of. All is right with the world.

Sitting on the walls between the living seas, the land, and imagination in Epcot - watching the world go by and the monorail glide past, realising we're really in WDW!!

Sitting on the benches just outside the entrance to Epcot, near the restrooms, at dusk, watching everyone making their way to cars and buses, chattering about their day, park purchases in hand!

I could be so there right now!!

Oh and of course, the first time you approach Walt and Mickey with the castle behind them, goosebumps and lump in throat!

Ours is the benches between Mexico and Germany, just to the left of the Fiesta Margarita vendor!! :drinking1

Every trip we have a favorite moment that we know we will not forget. After all the rides, shopping and dining, we always have a moment where we realize that when we think of this trip we will remember_____________________.

One of the first ones I can remember was on the Boardwalk. We were sitting on a bench. It was a cool evening, the kids were so happy (and little) chasing each other while clutching the prizes they had just won from the "carnival" game booths.

Our latest moment was on Main Street in an "alley" between the shops. We had just gone into the Main Street Bakery and we were trying to find a quiet place to sit. We found an empty bench right in front of the cart where they draw funny pictures of people. (can't think of names of the drawings) It was a perfect spot. Quiet and breezy.

Disney is full of magic moments. My favorite are always the ones that you do not expect to be so meaningful.

I love the sitting area behind Bongos that's right on the water. Sooo nice. :goodvibes

Not for "people watching" but...........I found this "oasis" on our last trip. Next to the Mexico pavillion (to the right, if you're looking at the pyramid) is a path that leads to a utility gate. Along this path there is jungle-like foliage. The fragrance from the flowers is pungent and you can hear birds chirping. There are quite a few different varieties of orchids.
It's very lush and peaceful (unless, of course, you happen to be there when a CM is pushing a cart into or out of the utility gate).
