Hi, having to choose between US Airways and Continental, and 1 stop either at Newark, either at Philadelphia, I would like to hear your opinions on those airlines and airports. BTW have you any prefered airline or airport?
Thanks for the help,
Regards from Mallorca
JF

Neither one of those is the best airline or airport, but I've always had bad luck with delays flying in and out of Newark.

Dh and I really like Jet Blue with a stop over at JFK, we have a stop at Logan this time and Im a bit nervous what it will be like.

Hmm. This is a tough one, Continental is the better of the two (imo) but Newark can be a REAL pain to connect through, but PHL is not a walk in the park either. I would probibly go with the one with the shortest connection time...

Newark and Philadelphia are both subject to long delays if there is any weather problem.

Given the choice from Spain, I would take Continental through Newark.

Due to much newer airplanes and equipment it's Continental for me. Also can use NWA elite class for free first class upgrades.

Jetblue from Syracuse, new planes non stop cant beat that.
Great small airport. No need to be there early.

1. Akron-Canton Regional Airport (CAK) - Delta
2. Cleveland Hopkins - Continental or American

If it helps,we always fly Continental out of Newark. DH iss a business traveler with a big company and always raves about Continental's business class & the seats/beds for flights to Europe, he's not such a fan of Lufthansa although their beds have gotten better. He also prefers Continental's lounge for businessmen and the general treatment of passengers. I don't think DH has ever flown on USAIRWAYS.

One site that will be a great help for you is called seatguru.com This site lets you see a mockup of the plane & your seats with little comments about which are good & which to avoid and why.

HAve a nice trip

We're flying direct on USAIR out of Philly. They had the best rates and we were able to choose our seats at purcahse time. I couldn't imagine not being able to choose our seats and have the kids sit without us (they're 4 and 5).

Always Northwest and Detroit Metro. Detroit is usually $75-100 cheaper than the local airport 6 miles from my house. I can drive to Detroit and back for less, plus I have family and friends in the Detroit area that I normally will stop by and see while we're down there. It would be great to fly out of our local airport, but they have no direct flights and would have to change planes in Detroit. I rather just fly straight from Detroit.
