Your most disapointing TS restaraunt at WDW was?

Sci Fi for us. The first time we went, we thought it would really be an experience. The food was horrible, the service was not so great and the atmosphere was not that fun. We were expecting better quality in food, service and atmosphere.

Our sandwiches were ok. If we had not been on the dining plan I thought$72 would have been expensive for sandwiches. We enjoyed the film clips.

Our worst experience was San Angel Inn at epcot. We are from Texas so we have Tex Mex all over. We did not like dining there 25 years age and nothing has changed. The room was too dark for us.

Maybe I have inhaled too much pixie dust, but we have enjoyed pretty much all of our TS experiences. The only one I can say something negative about is Prime Time. As a previous poster said, if your server is not entertaining, it loses its luster.

The last time we were there, was several trips ago and we have not been back and we never discuss going back. Our last server was just not into the fun. Without the usual shtick, we noticed that the food is just OK there.

Rose and Crown and Tony's Town Square were the worst for me

The only time we ate at Rose and Crown, we were ignored for 30 minutes before the server took our order, another 10 before drinks came out, and another 20 before our food came, order was wrong but a for fear of waiting for another 20 minutes we ate what we had in front of us, waited another 10 minutes for dessert, and then had to wait for 15 minutes while our server had to take our dde card to the manager to approve.

WE had a 2 hour dinner that day... never again!

Tony's Town Square was like eating Chefboyardee that's been sitting out all day.
Good service but the food was aweful.

Best service, food, and overall experience we have is Artist Point.
Every time we go, it's wonderful.
Pok has to be the best server in WDW.

A good restaurant with great services always ranks high with its food qualities to most people. TRUE?

San Angel for sure, I loved the atmosphere, but the food was not so great. I know I can be a picky eater at times, but there wasn't even a dessert that I liked...I am no fan of flan!! :scared1:

Rose and Crown. I've wanted to eat there for years and we finally did in December. We had horrible service, the food was so-so and seemed really expensive for what you got. Next time we will just stick to the fish and chips CS.

Well....I have two.

My first was 3 years ago, it was the Spirit of Aloha. This was the biggest waste of time and money ever while I've been at Disney and I was kicking myself afterwards for dragging my family there. I even reported back to the Poly concierge our unstellar our experience was. They did not seemed to very surprised.

My 2nd was June of 2007. My hubby and I ate at Narcoossee's. I had never eaten there before and was so excited. First off, we had a table that barely held our 2 dinner plates (egads...!). Our waiter would appear then just disappear for a long time. He seemed more interested in the tables with more than 4 persons at it? We finally had to ask a different waiter for our bill as we had waited a long time. I think the food was ok, nothing really sticks out in my mind...but the service was a 2 on a 1-10 scale. I was so disappointed in the whole evening. We both walked away trying to understand why the hype about this restaurant? OH well...just not our night I guess.

Overall Disney Dining was not what we thought it was going to be and we were let down. From reading reviews and posts we were expecting the best food ever. The food was fine, but only three places would begin to fall into the "Best Food Ever" category. The rest was all pretty much what I'd experience at a local chain.
After reading the comments, I keep coming back to that one. We do not do much local fine dining (traffic, cannot drink/drive; stick to area chains) and save that for vacations. We enjoy the signature and TS dining (and prefer it to CS), and know what to expect: high-priced WDW. Good but expensive for you what you get; it's not about the food; you pay more for atmosphere, theme, view and the like (see also CG, Narcoossee's, Coral Reef, Citricos).

Biggest let-downs have all been mentioned: LTT, Tony's, Rose & Crown and San Angel Inn. Have had better luck at SciFi, Mama, Prime Time, etc. to get good service/order safe items. Middle of the road: Le Cellier, Chefs de France; decent to good, depending on what you get. Places like Boma are hit or miss, but really depend on the tastes of the diners; ditto Bistro de Paris (but we've always had great service there). Faves are still: V&A, Jiko, AP. FWIW.

Without a doubt, San Angel Inn.

You can't beat the atmosphere but - you are packed in like sardines! Add to that tasteless food and terrible service - and we won't be going there again.

Your reply is the only one that makes perfect sence. Right on!!!

Our most disappointing TS meals were Le Cellier (I expected something great since so many people rave about it, but it was just ok) and Coral Reef (bad service, ok food)

I think LeCellier is hit or miss for most people based on where they are seated. The perception is that everyone is tightly squeezed in becuase its so small. If you are seated next to a large or loud table I think someone's view/thoughts on the meal are going to be somewhat negative before they have even eaten.:snooty:

Les Chefs...nobody in our party of 4 adults thought it was anything great at all even though we were all looking forward to it.

Definetly it would be Coral Reef at the Living Seas in Epcot. The aquarium was nice but food and service were not up to Disney standards.

Les Chefs de France. Seated 2 hours after our ADR and couldn't leave since it was prepaid with the Candlelight processional package. Had an 18 month old and a 5 year old. Not fun. We ended up eating at 8pm. TOOOOO late for little kids. Then they refused to even bring out bread for my son to eat since we hadn't paid for him. I would have paid for the bread but they refused.

The food itself was good but I was mad by that point so I could have cared less.

I understand it's crowded after the CP but 2 HOURS??? IF you can't accomodate the people, don't take so many ADR's.

Sci-Fi - disliked the food, seating arrangements, slow service, watched the movies loop almost 4 times, bored out of our minds (and to think we went back a second time, to give it another chance, and had about the same experience.)

CRT - we can say we've been there done that (for lunch and dinner) but we won't do it again. Again, disliked the food for the price, the Godmother's show seemed rushed, we had a better lunch with the princesses at Akershus.
