Hi everyone,

Feeling a very good right now. Originally, I was going to book a package with Virgin Holidays here in England and be done with it. It is all too easy that way (pricier too!). After a lot of good advice I decided to take my chances and book my air and resort separately. This board has helped me immensely (I even know a lot of the lingo now).

This is my first trip to WDW (even though I was born in the US and didn't move until I was 30). Somehow every single person in my family has been except me. My English hubby adores WDW and has even been before. We are coming to run the marathon in January.

Anyway, I have now booked the YC through yourmagicaljourneys.com with Jean. Jean has been very helpful. I have decided to book at the normal value season rate and when the AP codes come out, buy an AP and book at the AP rate. See reassured me a good rate was to be had and the money we save will pay for an AP and a 7 day pass. I aslo decided to use them as they can do all of the priority dining stuff for us. A bit harder to do on this side of the world.

I am very excited now!

Sounds good to me. We went back and forth on where to stay for the marathon. Ended up choosing WL. Good luck with the YC - that was one of the ones we considered. Its a beautiful resort. Maybe we'll see you at the marathon!

Good choice with booking through YourMagicalJourneys! I have booked my last 2 trips through Karen and she is wonderful. I don't have enough nice things to say about that site. Every time someone asks me about booking with a travel agent, I steer them in that direction.

Is this a new service, or just for overseas clients? They've never offered to help us with ps/adr. :confused3

Hi Robyn,

We ended up deciding the YC because if we get a great AP code then it will not cost that much more to stay at the YC in Jan than the WL. Last January's AP was about $215.

However if we do not get a great code for the YC then we will stay at either the AKL or WL. Jean our travel agent says it is hard to get an AP at the WL because it is SO popular and a smaller resort. The YC was my first thought originally and I love the look of the rooms at the AKL. The WL looks like it has great feel to it, but if we get a good AP rate I will stay with YC.

I sure do hope we meet while we are there. The more friends I have back home the better!
