Your Funniest Memories?

Hi. Thank you for sharing. I hope that DD has forgiven all and in time she too will see the funny side of it.

Our first trip to WDW our oldest daughter, who is now 19 and was 9 on that trip was riding the Great Movie Ride in the front seat with the rest of our family. When we came to the shoot-out scene she thought it was real and she hit the floor of the ride and starting yelling at her little sister to get down. I starting laughing so hard, so well as everyone on the ride! She hates for us to bring it up, but it is still soo funny.:D

poor kid but nice of her to "protect " her little sister

I love this Thread. I laughed so hard and I cannot wait to share these stories with DH. I plan to print this right before we leave and read them to him on our long car trip to get him in the Disney mood. Thanks to all for your stories. These are memories you will always have.
7 days left!!! :Pinkbounc :smooth:

We are all getting a big kick out of these stories!

The Great Movie Ride shoot-out story reminded us of the same reaction from our then 3-year-old son in Catastrophe Canyon. He was sitting in the far left seat until the flames started. He shot across everyone in the row (including other guests) to the far right side. We haven't seen him move that fast since - he's now 18 and doesn't mind us sharing. After all, we are headed back!!:bounce:

I have 2 funny memories.

1. Last year when DH and I met Mickey Mouse he went to put his arm around him and knocked him in the head. In our picture the head is a little crooked and DH is laughing. He told Mickey "Sorry man" Hope it wasn't a woman!!

2. At MGM in the Sounds Dangerous attraction, after the show there are some hands on displays. One is a old fashion movie and you read the lines and dub in your voice. We tried it twice and when we played it back the sound was so quiet we had to lean into it to hear ourselves. The third time we made up our own lines and said silly things especially DH. That time when we went to play it back, it was blarring!!! We died laughing and jetted out of there right away.

Thre years ago it was the most frigid New Year's ever. All of the parks were sold out of gloves, hats mittens and the like. We went to Florida Mall, being the prepared Chicagoans that we are and asked where they kept the long underwear.....poor Florida boy says how long??????? So now clothed in our newly purchased duds we head back to the parks. It is getting aobut time for the huge firework deal and I happen upon a dead scooter. I was tired or standing and freezing, so I decide I am going to have a seat. I start to push this super heavy scooter to the perfect spot, while my best friend and boyfriend are watching me laughing hysterically. I suggested if they helped me I would share my seat. Nope, they were not going to help. So as soon as I got the cold vinal warmed up they both had the nerve to ask if they could sit too. (Being the very nice person that I am, I let them). After the fireworks my best freind got up out of the scooter and just walked away. The expression on people's faces were priceless.

The next day however proves to be my funniest moment at Disney yet. When exiting Test Track (we were the first riders of the day), there used to be a character Crash Test Dummy, named Lumpy. He looked just like a statue of a crash test dummy. I told Kaykie to get a picture of me by this statue....well while posing with the staue, out of the blue the statue came to life and I screamed Oh **** very loudly, jumped about 5 feet and about peed my pants. There was a large audience (as everybody who had just gotten off the ride was right there) and everybody was laughing...even Lumpy!!!!! One guy promised me that had he got that on tape he would have shared his millions with me that he would win on America's Funniest Videos. We stayed around later to see some other reactions, and we all agreed that mine was the absolute funniest of them all. I have great pictures of me and Lumpy and a great memory.

I had something else funny happen to me – due to me being Scottish and the other party being a Texan. We were leaving the MK July last year. The temperature was hitting 90+ (where I come from 65 is considered a “heatwave”). Anyway, I must have been the epitome of elegance, as there I was, waiting for the tram, and dressed in trainers, shorts, baggy T-shirt, and with a face flannel over the top of my head – and ‘dying’ on the spot. Standing next to me was a very tall young man (the Texan) and he turned to me and said, what I thought was, “you have a fan”, to which I replied, “no, I only have a face flannel”. The expression on his face was priceless – yes you’ve guessed, he had asked me if I had had FUN. I felt a complete and utter idiot – but it is a fond memory for me.

We waited in line to get pictures with Miss Piggy and Kermit one night at MGM. Miss Piggy was fawning over our daughter who was asleep in the stroller. So I got the camera out and tried to take a picture. The camera wouldn't take the picture so I futzed with it for a bit and couldn't get it to work. So I asked my wife for the other camera, and by this time Miss Piggy was standing there with this impatient stance and tapping her foot. You could tell she sure was pretending to be put out. :) As soon as the other camera was ready, she leaned down like she was again so we could snap the picture. Thanks Miss Piggy!

She then proceeded to run off with the next guest while Kermit tried to chase after her.

We also had Buzz and Woody have a signature stamp fight one time. They kept stamping one page until it was completely full. It was like they had to get the last 'stamp' in...
