I've been looking for something comfortable in the parks (I wear running shoes normally but when they get wet, your feet get all blistered)

So I looked around on sites about crocs. Some said that crocs were horribly uncomfortable while others said they were the best thing for going to WDW.

My theory is that the people who say they're uncomfortable went and bought the cheap crocs in the stores rather than buying the real thing. But I wouldn't mind some opinions on the subject.

I have real crocs and I really don't like them. I found that I had lower back pain from wearing them. Now other people will say they had blisters from them but I didn't have that problem. After walking around a few days in them I had to change to my normal shoes and my back got better. I had worn them in before we went to Disney World. This year the crocs are staying home and my regular shoes are getting worn.

HTH

I think they're terribly ugly so I would never get a pair. My parents have them and love them though.. walked around the "world" in them and never had any issues.

where WDW is concerned I don't really care what they look like as most of the stuff people wear in the parks is slightly ridiculous (I'm guilty of it!:cool1: )

I bought a pair to wear indoors after I developed plantar faciatis last week. They are the only shoes that don't cause me pain! I plan on wearing them at the parks!
No blisters, no rubbing, no sweaty feet.
They may not work for a full 8 hours walking in the parks, but they are heaven for my feet right now!

i love my crocs... although they do differ in size, even for the same size/model/etc based on where they are manufactured (or so i was told)... the pair that fit tighter was far more comfy... the looser gave me a blister on my arch... crocs and moleskin together was a great combo... so, my advice is to buy 'em where you can try 'em, not via mailorder :)

I love mine and my DD loves hers. No blisters or problems. Wore them all week in WDW when we were there at Christmas. We logged 25,000+ steps on our pedometers one day and still no problems with the Crocs.

i think they are hideous but they are conformable and the work. however, don't think that you are going to throw a band new pair on the first day at WDW having never worn them before and everything will come out happy hunky dory... the best foot wear is something that is broken in. And it is even best to do some long distance walking at home before you go.

Last year our family of five wore crocs and crocs only throughout our WDW vacation! We didn't worry about packing socks or anything! We had absolutely no foot problems at all on the entire trip! We walked around from 9 am till about 10 pm for 6 days straight...we never even had to think about our feet! On my honeymoon 11 years ago I wore sneakers and had blisters so bad.

I loved that we all wore crocs and nooooo problems!

I love my crocs!! I got them just for our WDW trip last year. I wore them around all summer and on our DL day trips. On our WDW vacation (the last week in August) I wore them everyday. One day I tried switching shoes and my feet in those shoes I had to go back to the hotel to get my crocs!

I agree that they are ugly. Mine are the pink mickey head ones and are hideous. But I do not care. My feet are fine at the end of the day!! I had no blisters, back pain, or any other problem. Now I do have wide feet so it has been hard for me to find comfortable shoes. The style I have would not be good for someone with a narrow foot. There would be too much wiggle room.

I am thinking about getting another pair or style!

I brought 2 pair with me that I had worn at home and work. I also brought sneakers. For me I switched around what I wore. I did get blisters from my Crocs which never happened at work even after a 12 hour shift. Oh well, I put on bandaid and switched shoes the next day.
I also tried bodyglide but I still got a blister on my little toe.
So for me.. again I just rotate shoes every day to keep my feet happy.(Or change if we go back to the hotel before going out again.)
I dont' think there is a pat answer as everyone is different.
Good luck!

we love our crocs, you do need to buy the real crocs for WDW, no crocoffs !!! for those who get blisters keep a pack of Dr. Scholls mole skin with you .. Great stuff.

My kids and I wore Crocs during our trip last summer--no foot problems whatsoever the whole week! We wore ultra-low-cut socks and just slipped them off and put them in a zipper baggie and stuffed them in the backpack before a water ride. DH wore running shoes and had to battle "hot spots" every day.

I love my crocs. My daughter thinks they are so ugly but I don't care. I have worn them for at least 4 disney trips with no blisters. My legs hurt from walking so much but my feet never hurt! They are wonderful

:rotfl: comfortable you betch ya! My family took a 1st ever trip to Disneyland 3 years ago, all four of us had our Crocs. We walked from the minute it opened and were among the last to leave. My feet were great as well as all my boy's. Hubby had croc nockoffs, I had Croc's little boys had 1 croc nockoff and one original, so I don't think have the real ones makes a difference. Only complaint, nobody on the West Coast had really seen them yet and we got lots of weird stares and questions.:cool1:

I wore mine through airport and around WDW first afternoon, I had full intentions of wearing my tennis shoes rest of trip BUT they never made it out of suitcase. 8 days and crocs all the way. I did switch prs thru trip and I wore mine sockless.

My DH and I both have the "real" Crocs - he wore his all day every day in the parks and was perfectly comfortable. I developed lower back pain wearing them for that many hours and had to buy some nikes (I had only brought the Crocs ;-( So now I bring the Crocs to wear around my room or to the pool, and other walking shoes for the parks.

Everyone is different. My advice would be, just make sure to bring an alternative pair of shoes in case the Crocs give you problems!

MAKE SURE THE CROC'S TAG DOES NOT SAY MADE IN MEXICO ! ! !

I bought ones Made in China a couple of years ago and they conformed to my feet so well. However, the next year I bought a pair and had blisters on my feet after the first day! What a way to start a vacation, huh?

I met a couple who were also wearing Crocs at the bus stop waiting to go to MK and I told them, "Gee, I wore my Crocs last year all week long without one blister. However, after Day 1, I have my feet all bandaged up"! Without missing a beat the couple said, "Oh, you must have bought the ones that said, "Made in Mexico. They are horrible!" They, too, experienced the same "pain" I did. Apparently a different material is used by those made in Mexico. It does not conform to the foot at all.

Sure enough, I got back home and bought another pair of Crocs that said, "Made in China" and yes, MUCH better! There is still one area on my foot that rubs but it is much better than before!

I've tried them on, and found them very uncomfortable. They have these little bumpy things in the insole, that I assume are for traction, but I found them painful.
