Your DIS name

It helps me remember there are others out there that share my Disney jones! DH isn't into Disney at all, but I've made sure to warp my kids' minds from very early.

My screen name reflects our location, about 70 miles from Disneyland, in San Diego county. We take "day trips" up there all the time. Simple as that.

Someone said earlier that their name was way too popular when they were a kid, there were lots of classmates with the same name. My name, Alyssa, was really out there when I was growing up in the 70's and 80's, but came into huge popularity when I became an adult. Now I share my name with hundreds of teens and pre-teens! Any time I'm in a mall, grocery store, etc., and a mom is looking for her daughter, I always answer to a shouted, "Alyssa!" I was always the only one as a kid!!

First and only trip to WDW was in late 2006, in a cabin. One of the best decisions of the trip, according to hubby.

Not you, Shannone...do the initials BDR mean anything? LOL :woohoo: The two people I am most curious about are tungpo and CaptKen :rolleyes:

BDR...BDR...................HMMM, who's BDR???:confused3

Dont they know you hang on the disboards and its that you love Wacky Demented Weirdos???

LOL, that will be my new response if i get any more weird IMs. Then they'll try to start a conversation with me! :scared1:

My name is Karen and I'm a retired teacher. I had another screen name but I lost my password and I was never able to reset it. (I'm technically challenged)
I chose my new screen name because my 6 year old granddaughter LOVES all the princesses. We had the most fun on her first trip (age 5) doing all the princess stuff. The Nana is because that is what the grandbabies call be (Nana Banana). We brought our kids to Fort Wilderness many times and now we're bringing our grandkids. Twice last year and another trip planned for July of 2008. Can't wait to get back to the Fort.:yay:

Hi Everyone,

Bliss Chaser.....just like chasing my bliss, thats what its all about.

I am a massage therapist and my husband is a software engineer. We could not be more different. In essence, we are Dharma and Greg. We have two kids, 15 and 6....yes, 9 years apart, wasn't there someone else with that same age range? What were we thinking? They are Logan and Kennedy, I realize they are both named after airports but it was not intentional, I swear. And no......the next one will not be O'Hare, although I do like the name Reagan for a girl.......hmm, I suppose it is a good thing I'm done! My mother lives with us, and we call her our 3rd kid...which is an apt description. Ever seen King of Queens? 'Nuff said.

I homeschooled my son for 2 years until we relocated and he wanted to go to school to meet kids, plus he's in high school now. The schools here are great, but I will be homeschooling my DD next year, so maybe we should have a FW homeschool meet up.

So far I'm loving the boards and appreciate the warm welcomes!

Melissa

:wave2: I chose my screen name because I am mom to 3 genetic mutant experiments built for destruction. I am a stay at home mom of three boys age 9, 6, and 4 1/2 (the "1/2" is very important to him!) A couple of times a week I also watch two extra boys because I don't already have enough testosterone in my life. :rolleyes2 Actually I do it for extra Mickey Money. I also have three female cats who are my baby girls to kind of even things out a bit. I'm a Disney freak (of course!) and I am so excited about our first trip to FW in August! I love reading through the FW threads...very informative and entertaining! :goodvibes

I used to play a game called Carrier Aces and the Japanese fighters would always say Kiteri Sin Ki Check when they were being shot down!

Kiteri as stuck every since!

LOL...I am JUST NOW getting your name thanks to the "genetic mutation" comment.....experiment #626=STITCH!!!! Very creative, I like it!!! At first I thought it was some mathematic equation that I wasn't mentally capable of figuring out!!!

My name is Kimberly, Kimber is one of my nicknames....but everyone except my parents and Hubby call me Kim. My last name begins with an "E". Not very creative...but it works, and I use it on almost everything I belong to. Keeps it straight in my shrinking brain! :confused3

I am almost embaressed to say where mine came from. Well long ago, when Al Gores father first invented the internet, back when cyber meant something different than it means now, i thought it was fun and cute. :surfweb: And of course the deb part is my name. Today of course cyber has something to do with activities that i have nothing to do with, but i have used it for so long i am not about to change it now.

Hi Everyone!

This thread was a great idea Shannon. I was not able to log on last night - too much other stuff to do. I had to read 12 pages this morning, but it was all very interesting. Once I started coming to this forum, I was so curious about the people on here.... like auntie... I am very nosey!

My user name is a combination of my daughter's names - Abbey and Audrey. My daughters are very young, so I primarily stay at home with them. I am a CPA and work on my clients from the house. On occassion, I will go and visit them at their offices, but mostly work at home. My husband and I have a side business that most of you know about, but as I am writing this, we have decided that we are probably going to shut that one down. I think we are just going to enjoy the Fort ourselves. We are down to one camper and I think we are just going to use it personally..... it was fun while it lasted!!

By the way - I still do not know what BDR does for a living. I was so curious when I read this, but he never said.

Thats because Im not real proud of it..........heres a link to my myspace..BigDaddyRog

Hi BigDaddyRog: I visited your site and think more of you now than I did before. To me, it does not matter what you do for a living - what is important is the person you are!! I would not be ashamed of your profession. I know plenty of people who would consider their jobs respectable (other CPA's and lawyers), but they are not good people. Be proud of who you are. You seem to have a great family and a good heart!!!

Well....thank you,...very much.....for having the ability to look past that. Alot of people cant.

The first time I registered for the DIS board, many many years ago I registered as Snow White because I kept 6 children and we always joked the my husband was my 7 dwarf to take care of!!
Well when we had to re-register someone beat me to my name so I just added my first name to it - so I am now Ellen aka Snow White.

JCJRSmith

J = Jerry (me)
C = Cindy (SWMBO)
J = Joshua (DS15)
R = Rachael (DD10)
SMITH = our last name...no, really :thumbsup2

"Song of the South" is my favorite Disney movie of all time. I've always loved Uncle Remus! I'm 6'3" and a biscuit over 300lb, so I resemble a Bear much more so than a rabbit! Hence; Brer Bear!:woohoo:

I'm known as Erv8097 on RV.net and "Stench" or "St3nch" is my gaming handle for any old geeks like me who still play BF2 or COD4 type games online.

My wife and I sell drugs.....We're Pharmacists! :thumbsup2

Well I initially found this site after my very first trip that included staying on property. That was in 1997. From about 1974 to 1997 I went to the Magic Kingdom about ten times but never ever stayed on site. When I was able to take my family for a four day, three night trip to POR I thought this is it, I've had the best time in my life that I am ever going to have I walked around DW like a tourist in NYC.

In 1997 I swear I could read every new post on every forum. There weren't even half as many I don't think. - You guys correct me if I'm wrong. Fell in love with the people here back then but mainly just lurked. I was very proficient at my job back then and I probably spent an average of six hours a day reading everything on the site. I used to love the trip reports. Remember "Love Ya - Mean It!" My family still doesn't get that one all together. I'm sure they are still good now too but there are so many it's little overwhelming.

Okay I went on a bit there. The good thing is you can just keep scrolling...

I just re-joined on Monday this week. We got our first new TT and I had to share my excitement so I came here. I was a happy camper while signing up so happy camper came real easy. 87 is the year I graduated. I was born in 1969 so I didn't want to use the year I was born, I was afraid people might get the wrong idea. Yeah, that means I'm 39(and holding on for dear life!).

Really, age doesn't matter to me at all but I do want to live long enough to enjoy my grandchildren, I was born to be a grandma. And, enjoy my retirement which I am saving all I can for. I want to own the perfect RV for me and DH and visit every major state park in the country. It will probably cost about $125 a night by then so I hope I'm not 80 by the time I save enough.

I have 3 kids DS(18) DD(15) and so pretty it's scary DD(10) and so smart she's scary. I'll take boys every time! These girls are wearing me down. DH is a great stay-at home dad right now construction has died in Southwest Florida. But, I like that he is here to keep a tight reign on DD(15).

I've already met several people on the site that I think a lot of. I can't wait to get to know you all better.

My name is Liz. And I am a Happy Camper:)
