before or after the bridge?

Right before! Thanks so much! Right in those curved little parts, sit on the benches closest to the castle (so, as you're facing the bridge, on your right hand side). Preferably the middle or bench closest to the castle is the best (if looking for character interaction).

Isn't that where they have VIP seating for the parades? I thought I read a trip report from someone who used a VIP tour guide and that's where the held the seats for them. Has this changed?

It's still where they have VIP seating for the parades. When I went last May (2010), there were actually VIPs about to be seated for the late showing of Spectro-Magic, and there were rumours it was members of the Disney family. My "tip/secret" is just for the stage shows.

Cool thanks! I was hoping it would work for parades too - because someone mentioned it -but now I won't get my hopes up with the VIPs.

No problem! That one particular time when I was moved was when I found out it was the VIP spot, however it hadn't made it clear, as it wasn't roped off and they moved us all sitting there literally 5 minutes right before the parade started. We heard the murmurings about the Disneys' after the parade had passed through.

I would honestly try sitting/standing there, there was nobody sitting there several times when I viewed the late showing of Spectro-Magic two years ago. It's most definitely used for VIPS, and you will be moved if it is going to be used, but I think it remains empty when it's not used.

May I have a copy of the list please? I emailed one of the OP's, but haven't heard from her for 2 weeks. Not sure if she's still active...

Okay, I'm a crotchety old man but I'd be raising quite a bit of grief if someone tried to move me from where I was camped to see a show of parade.

I have issues.

People raised some issues. I know it was Memorial Day weekend (so it was quite crowded), and although the crowd had lightened up, it'd been a bit of a struggle to find seats. I was a little disappointed to have been moved, especially since it was literally minutes before the parade was due to begin (and I mean minutes), Jimminy had given the warning, they were only telling us right then and there, and everyone sitting there had to literally find another seat. The only other seats were quite some ways away, so we all had to make a mad dash.

The only things that I could think of was that they had only received last minute word that the VIPs were coming and had to scramble. The ropes hadn't been up across the benches when I, or anyone else who was sitting on the benches, arrived.

In the long run, however, I did get to see the parade and that's all that matters! :D

Would someone mind to send me a copy of the list? We are going in October and tried to get a copy last year, but had no luck. Please and THANK YOU VERY MUCH!! katiebarron at hotmail dot com

Hmm. I don't know. That's where we have sat for the past two years, and there were never any VIPs there .... just other people like us. So I don't know. Here is a picture of our view from there though:

The VIP seating is actually behind where you're sitting. If you look behind the lady sitting on the left of the bench, there's a bridge. Just to the right of the bridge (so just before the bridge, as in before it enters into Liberty Square) is a set of benches. That's where the VIP seating is.

I heard that after the new HM que debuted, They put a REAL ring in the ground, making a reference to the old "ring" we all remember.:goodvibes I cant wait to find it!

Is the one in the general store still there? Somewhere on here, I thought it said they took the phone and/or the store out.

Does anyone know or has anyone been recently?

They moved the phone to the confectionary as of Late March. It is near the back behind thehats I picked up the phone, andheard the mother and daughter talking just like the old phone.

I just ran across this on a site. Have any of you ever seen this before?

There already is a ‘hidden’ Luxo Jr. in the Pixar Place area of DHS. Look for the street sign near the huge Pixar Studios sign as you enter from the central plaza.

I'll put it in our master document. :thumbsup2

Not so fast, Dcanoli: The Luxo lamp has been moved because of a lawsuit. I don't know the exact details, but I really wanted to see it :sad2:

Sorry to burst your bubble, but you can no longer sit in the front of the monorail.

You can't sit in front of the monerail anymore? I wasn't aware. I didn't mean to be rude, but I want to know for my August trip.

RIP AUSTIN :sad2:

I HATE posting all of these in a row, but what happened to Dcanoli??? WEMISS YOU DEB!!!!!!!:sad1: :rotfl:

There was a fatal monorail accident in 2009......a driver died. Luckily there were no passengers in the front of the monorail at that time or the death toll would have been higher. Because of this Disney no longer allows riders in the front of the monorail.

Many of us were hoping that this was temporary, but since it's been more than a year since the policy started, chances of it changing before your August trip are probably pretty close to zilch. Of course, anything is possible, but at this point, plan on NOT being able to ride in the front.

Sorry.

Sorry.

I rode the front on my first visit in January 1973. I came, I saw, I asked! Seemed obvious to me! Though I was a bit surprised and very delighted that it was allowed. Since then, every time I took anyone to WDW for the first time, I made a point to get them up front, even if it meant I had to separate from them. (Big group one time!) It was only a few years ago that it became an 'official option' with a special queue for it, but before then, it was on the guest to know or guess that it was an option.
