Your Best and Worst CS places

Curious what everyone thinks here - what is your favorite and your least favorite CS restaurant (and if you'd like to share - why?). Best and worst with kids?

Let's start with worst, because that is an easy answer. ABC commisary in DHS. Never again!!

For best there are a lot of options but I really like the choices at Sunshine Seasons at EPCOT. (altough not the easiest with stroller kids, as it is downstairs and strollers are not allowed, at least that is what i remember)

We have anew favorite CS - Wolfgang Puck Express. It's really more like a sit down restaurant in that your food is brought to you. Refills on drinks are provided by the 'server' and you eat with real silverware on real plates. Excellent value for DDP credit.

Don't really have a least favorite. They kind of blend together.

Some of our favorites are Wolf Gang Puck express, Sunshine Seasons, and Casey's Corners (gotta love the brownie!). My kids love Pizza Planet.

I have many favorites, too hard to pick just one:

Tangerine Cafe, Wolfgang Puck Express, Sunshine Seasons, Kringla Bakery, Boulangerie Patisserie just to name a few. Each have their own unique specialties that arent junk food or fried food!

However, I have but one worst, ABC Commissary. I'd rather go hungry, family/friends feels the same!

I have to agree with this ABC Commissary was awful. I loved the Wolfgang Puck Express, delicious food. I also love the CS restaurants in the World Showcase.

In my opinon the best ones is Earl of Sandwich at Downtown Disney Marketplace and the Contempo Cafe at Disney's Contemporary Resort, because I think their menus are more upscail.

As for the worst ones I would have to say I have become disappointed with Gasparilla's Grill & Games at the Grand Floridian Resort & Spa. I use to always enjoy going there, but over the past 1 - 2 years their menu has gone downhill and I don't think it's worth eating there again.

Columbia Harbor House-quite a lot of fried shrimp for the money.
Flame Tree
Fairfax Fare
Sunshine Seasons
La Cantina

Least Favorites:
Cosmic Rays (Burger Station. Chicken Station is fine)
ABC Commissary (Except for the Chicken Curry Bowl, which is quite good).
Liberty Inn at the American Pavillion at Epcot-What an embarassment, especially considering the other foods that the countries offer at World Showcase.

Our fave is without a doubt Wolfgang Puck Express. That place is HEAVEN!

Worst has got to be Casey's (sorry, I know its a popular one) but their hot dogs suck. Its their bun! Also Pizza Planet. GROSS PIZZA!

We honestly don't eat a lot of CS because we do the DxDDP, but when we do we seem to keep going back to the same ones -- Earl of Sandwich and Capt. Cooks at the Poly. Love both of them! We also enjoyed our meal at Cosmic Rays. We had Toy Story Pizza Planet at DHS and Pizzafari at AK and both were take it or leave it. Not awful but nothing to write home about either.

We ate one time at Pinnochio Village Haus and I had a great salad! Haven't been there in a few years though.

It's funny. There are certain places (like those listed by goofyintoronto) that would probably make my list, but so far I haven't been dumb, stubborn or brave enough to try them. I can't imagine what would have to possess me in order for me to place a piece of Pizza Planet pizza close to my mouth. Same holds true for the chafing dish Chinese at Lotus Blossom.

To be fair, I really think we caught pizzafari on a bad day. We encountered two rude CM's there and my pizza was cold, but my fiance liked his italian sandwich. I am just not sure I would go back.

Lotus Blossom Cafe was just gross.

Favorites: Flametree BBQ, Sunshine Seasons, Cantina de San Angel, Pecos Bill's, Columbia Harbor House, POP Food Court, Pepper Market (@ CSR), Earl of Sandwich

Least Favorite: Mara (@ AKL) - food was fine, the menu was too limited

The only completely inedible meal we ever had at WDW was at the ABC Commissary. All 4 of us. Just disgusting. I have wondered if it has gotten any better, but am too scared to try.

Best hands down is Wolfgang Puck Express. Pepper Market at CSR was pretty good too.

I was VERY dissapointed with ALMOST all of the counter service last month on our trip.

Favorites..

Wolfgang Puck Express...amazing value and great food
Flame Tree BBQ
Food Court at Polynesian...bbq pork sandwich and adult grilled cheese...yummy!

Thanks to lots of research and reviews here and all ears I've luckily avoided any terrible CS meals.

After just eating at 9 different CS locations last week, I would definitely say I have a bunch of favorites.

Wolfgang Puck Express - One of the best meals we have ever had! Spicy chicken pizza and bacon wrapped meatloaf were AMAZING!!!!

Flame Tree BBQ - Immensely enjoyed the chicken and ribs. So good!

Earl of Sandwich - awesome sandwiches

Starring Rolls - Great sandwiches with an AWESOME dessert!!!!!

Sunshine Seasons - great variety and good tasting!


My least favorite CS this last trip was Pecos Bill's. I chose the chicken wrap and just didn't think it was all that great.

My vote for best goes to Cosmic Ray's. Super tasty options there. Worst, without hesitation goes to...El Pirata Y el Perico Restaurante, I'm not surprised it's usually closed. Worst thing I've ever eaten at WDW.
