I was wondering how many DISer's get their newspaper delivered?

I am not talking about the newspaper in your town that might come out ONCE a week. (We have two newspapers in our town that does that!)

I am speaking off the daily newspaper that gets delivered 7 days a week to your home!!!

We have been getting ours delivered forever but it has come to both DH and my opinion that we actually read it ONLINE. Not really necessary to pay to get it delivered to the house....$240.00 a year (roughly)!!!

We are thinking of canceling it...:confused3

My parents used to, but then realized they weren't reading them all, so they only get it delivered on the weekends now. :thumbsup2

My Dad does, gets 2 different ones. He is an addict. I don't, read what i need to online.

2 major papers here every day. Wall Street Journal and Chicago Tribune

I get the same newspaper as you, but I know only pay for Sat & Sun. With that, you get Thurs free & any holidays. This way we get all the sales flyers too.

AND, we still get to keep our online account to access archived articles.

52 wks was $107.74 last Sept when I paid for a year.

For years we have been getting Newsday and The NY Times daily. Seems like a huge waste but my husband does read them. I tend to read the news online but do enjoy my Sunday papers.

We get the Orlando Sentinel 7 days a week - my Mom reads it cover to cover. I only ever look at the Sunday sales flyers. We also get a free paper - the Osceola something something - twice a week. Mom reads those too. Also, the city paper, Saint Cloud in the News a time or 2 a week.

We used to have the daily paper delivered, but like you, found that we rarely read it, so we switched to just Sundays - that way I still get all the sales flyers!

Hmmm...really thinking about canceling it as I read through the responses. At least for the time, if I miss it at all, I could easily subscribe again! :)

Our area does NOT do SUNDAY only! I wish they did. DH said he will just pick up the Sunday paper! Our Saturday paper is a joke.

I get the San Antonio Express-News 7 days/week. It pays for itself with the coupons in the Sunday paper.

We get a paper deliverd 6 days a week ( No Sunday Paper ) would settle for the online version but you have to get the printed version to read the online one .

I get the local paper (Democrat & Chronicle) every day and usually read most of it (except the sports). Sometimes I buy the NY Times at the grocery store. Last I checked, it wasn't delivered to homes in my area.

We get the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette 7 days a week. I read local every day, skim business, attempt the crosswords and complete the Soduku over breakfast. I'd be okay with just getting the Sunday paper (delivered - don't trust me or DH to "get a paper" every Sunday) because I am a coupon clipper.

We get the city paper 7 days a week! Read it daily too.:thumbsup2

Heh....not our local rag! We tried a weekend subscription when we got married, but that didn't last. Not worth it.

We read all our news online from a variety of local, national & international sources and that suits us fine. Having low vision, I never was fond of print media to begin with.

I get the Detroit Free Press delivered 7 days a week and read it every day. I would go nuts without my paper!

We get it delivered daily. Our local paper isn't as complete online...or at least it isn't as easy for me to follow online...
