Young At Heart: The #BirthdayFestivus13 Adventure!!! 5 UPDATES, 1/8!!!!!!!!!!!!

Your welcome back post literally just summed up our trip PERFECTLY. I am going to remember that one for a long time. PERFECTION.

Me too. I just keep looking at the pictures. It was too perfect! I MISS YOU BUT I WILL SEE YOU SOON!

So glad you guys had fun! Your costume was AMAZING! (I really need to learn some new words :headache:)

Wow. So jealous! I'm actually kind of sulking... haha. Live it up! :goodvibes

Thank you so much!!

Lia!!!

I've been absent from the board Fiddling in my musical but I cannot wait to hear about your latest trip with Jess! :cheer2:

And I LOVED your costume!! That was so phenominal (doo doo doodoodoo) that it should have won awards if it didn't already do so. You have mad skills and I think if you don't become a Disney Princess you should try your hand at costume design because it was frightfully beautiful! :worship:

I can't wait to hear about everything Disney and I must take some time and check out all your photos on Instagram.

(I have a waaaaaaaaaaay out there question/thought and if I've overstepped the line please say so but have you thought about perhaps relocating to the Disney area of Florida and trying your hand as a Disney performer? I think your personality (just based on what I can tell from your reports and photos) is spot on with what they are looking for. Just me thinking out loud :) )

Thank you so much! No awards, maybe they're in the mail... :rotfl2:

I don't really want to get into the long story and many reasons of why moving to Florida wouldn't really be the right thing for me. It's okay, I'm very satisfied with WDW being my beautiful place to escape and not my work place. But thank you for the compliments! They are appreciated as always!

Welcome back!! I love that you got to go back and that you are working on another trip! I can't wait to hear all about it!

Thank you!!

Hi Lia :wave2: I'm new to your TR. I'm on Day 3 (so I have some serious catching up to do) but I was loving it so much I just had to comment. You are such a talented writer, your TR is interesting, informative, and hysterically funny. But best of all, you are so ridiculously good at communicating your love of Disney. Reading your TR makes me happy because you put into words all the things that I feel about Disney. So basically, I can prove to my husband that I'm not crazy! Or maybe I am crazy, but I'm not alone in my Disney obsession! :rotfl2: So thank you for sharing! And I can't wait to keep reading :)

-Heather

You are so sweet! Thank you! I'm glad you're enjoying it so much.

Just started reading!

:welcome:!!!!!!!

Day 10, Part 5 In Which We Experience Delays In LA Traffic

When I last left you, Gina and I were in the middle of one of the most hilarious days I have ever had in Disney. We had just gotten fastpasses for RnR, gotten super hardcore Disney tattoos, saw Beauty and the Beast and cried laughing at the Beast's roar.

After the show was over it was pouring and so we ducked into some of the shops on Sunset for quite awhile. I pin traded a lot and we looked around at everything like 100 times.

I would just like to pass on the good news that I documented all of my pin trades on my latest trip so that will be a new element to the next TR!

I vined some drawings: vine.co/v/b920bVJXqHF

Finally the rain let up and we walked to Hollywood Boulevard. At this point I was really tired and a bit wet and I asked Gina what she wanted to do and she said she didn't know, whatever I wanted to do. I got kind of frustrated because I hate being a tour guide and that's what I always am in Disney. People always just tell me to take the lead without giving any input because they know I'm the expert. You'd think I would like being totally in control but I hate feeling the pressure to make sure whoever I'm with is having fun so when they say we can just do whatever I want, I'm like... but... you're a person with thoughts and feelings! What do YOU want to do? And whoever I'm with is usually just like "I don't know."

I actually wanted to do another Animation class but I was just so tired and I really wanted to change. At this point I wasn't enjoying myself that much, the rain had kind of taken the air out of everything. So I told Gina and we decided to go back to Pop and take a little break.

Once we got back, I soaked my feet in the tub for a little bit and then sat on my bed. I knew if I actually laid down and got under the covers I would not get out for approximately 3 days. But even just sitting, I still just did not know how I was going to get up. Gina and I were both laying on our beds practically groaning. I know, I know, poor us, right? But seriously... I was SO TIRED. It was not a bad thing at ALL that the next day would be a non-park day. WHEW.

Finally we mustered the strength to get moving. I changed into a new outfit, we stopped in Everything Pop for a bit, and then went out to the busses. We were standing there waiting and I realized Gina was wearing a new backpack! She bought this Mickey one:

10537442486_f9c928b7c9_z.jpg

She was like, "I was wondering when you would notice!" haha. When we were separated in = Everything Pop she went and bought that. It also comes in a shoulder bag style if anyone is interested. They still had these all over the place when I was just there. (:

We waited for the bus a bit and I was like, "I wanna just take your car but I don't want to go all the way back to the room to get your keys..." and she was like "I have my keys!" hahaha DUH. We didn't even think of her car at first. Wow. I was tired.

Back to Hollywood, woo hoo!

Immediately, I saw this guy with balloons attached to his head. Now that's the way to do Disney!

Hiya, Mickey!

Looking at these pictures just feels so refreshing. It was really good that we took a break!

We walked down Sunset to use our Rock N Rollercoaster Fastpasses.

This time, Aerosmith would love us even more than usual because of our totally rockin' tattoos!!!

They did, and guess what? We scored BACKSTAGE PASSES to their concert! Unbelievable.

Okay, so here is where Hilarious Event #2 happened.

We boarded RnR. I have never in my life had any kind of problem on this ride before and I have been on it I wanna say at LEAST 30 times. If not more.

Usually, you board the limo, it drives over to the launch area, Steven Tyler's voice can suddenly be heard beside you and he counts you down. Then you take off.

Gina was now familiar with this after riding once two days before.

So we're sitting in the launch area and we hear Steven counting us down.

"FIVE! FOUR! THREE! TWO! ONE!"

..............

We didn't move.

We both giggled kind of nervously. I mean, you never want to be locked into a rollercoaster that isn't doing what it's supposed to do. So we sit for a few seconds and then the countdown starts again.

"FIVE! FOUR! THREE! TWO! ONE!"

.................

Nothing. At this point the anticipation I was feeling was CRAZY because I didn't know when we were going to take off! I thought for sure after the second time counting down, we would go. But we didn't, and now I was thinking we'd just take off whenever they fixed it and there would be no countdown or any warning at all.

Then Steven counts us down again.

"FIVE! FOUR! THREE! TWO! ONE!"

NOTHING. AGAIN. WE DID NOT MOVE. Oh my God. At this point I could do nothing but crack up laughing. I was kind of scared though, cause again, you don't want to be on a BROKEN ROLLERCOASTER.

There were no announcements from Cast Members or any kind of acknowlegment at all that anything wrong was happening! You know, usually an announcement comes on over a loudspeaker, but there was nothing. It was really weird.

So then guess what happened? Steven Tyler counted us down again.

"FIVE! FOUR! THREE! TWO! ONE!"

NOPE. DIDN'T MOVE. Now I was again in hysterics.

I can't explain why but it was just so funny. I think because the anticipation built up HIGHER and HIGHER each time it happened so then when it didn't we would just burst into laughter. Each time it was like, "This has to be it!" and we would expect that crazy take off feeling to come and it just didn't.

Steven Tyler counted us down, "FIVE! FOUR! THREE! TWO! ONE!", and again NOTHING.

It was not until the FIFTH TIME that we went. You know what, it may have even been 6th. All I know is that I was laughing so hard that I could barely breathe and then we shot off into the dark and it was one of the BEST rides on RnR ever! All that anticipation ramped me up so much that I could not even deal with what was happening. I just laughed and screamed the entire time. It was so great.

What a thrilling experience. I had to celebrate it with rockstar Mickey.

I love hanging out in this area.

I then discovered a restroom back there that I was not even aware existed all these years! It's awesome because the girl on the Women's sign is playing guitar.

Next went over to One Man's Dream for a little bit cause Gina really wanted to see it.

Unfortunately she only got to look at about half of it because we were gonna be late for our ADR! That will have to be something we do right away next time.

Where were we eating? DUH, SCI FI! I could not let my BBFFAEAEAE come to Disney without going to the best restaurant EVER!

SO EXCITED!

You all know how much I love this place, but I think that photo really shows how excited I was! Going a second time in one trip definitely doesn't dull down the excitement. In fact, on my next trip I'm only getting to spend a few hours in Hollywood Studios and even still I am planning on going to Sci Fi. It's a must do!

I checked us in, we got our pagers and sat down. I stretched out on the bench because there was like no one there. I was gettin' comfortable! I really feel more at home in Disney than anywhere. Our wait was about 10 minutes and then I was back at the Drive-In! YAY!

10894348134_9e72c71ea7_z.jpg

I always wanted to do Sci Fi twice in one trip. I just love it so much that I keep wanting to go back and this time the trip was long enough that I finally did it! WOO!

This guy looks like Dr. Evil.

Day 10, Part 6 In Which I'm Barely Alive

I was also so excited for Gina to finally be there after hearing me rave about it for YEARS! It must have been quite surreal for her to finally see everything I have always been talking about during our entire 14 year friendship.

10894345474_33a075cac5_z.jpg

Ahhhh. My happy place within my happy place.

I wanted the same thing I always get, Spinach & Artichoke Dip with a side of fries. Gina and I just decided to split that but she got her own side of fries since we need many french fries to function and it would not be good if we shared!!

While we waited for our food to come, we decided to occupy ourselves with selfies.

10894237076_5be1b2cf66_z.jpg

After yet another magical meal at Sci Fi, I was thinking we had to get our picture taken in the car. I was going to ask our server but she wasn't around at the moment so I asked a CM passing by if he was busy and if not could he take a photo of us in the car?

Oh.

Good.

Lord.

Jesus.

What an experience this was.

Here it comes, folks: Hilarious Event #3: the most side-splitting one yet. Definitely falls into the top 3 hardest laughing moments of my ENTIRE LIFE.

Now keep in mind that I was EXHAUSTED. I mean, this was mid-week 2 of Disneying. So that added to the silliness.

But this guy taking our picture. Oh my God.

How do I even begin to describe him?

Okay. I'll try. As soon as I asked for a picture (now keep in mind I expected him to take one, maybe two pictures of us in the car from one angle and that's it) he launched into this extremely long series of words that, when strung together at a normal pace, probably actually meant something.

He spoke so fast and was moving all over the place and it was extremely hard to follow him at first. It took a second for my very tired brain to catch up with his.

He was like, "OKAY WHAT WE ARE GOING TO DO IS I AM GOING TO TAKE A PICTURE OF YOU HERE! AND THEN HERE! AND THERE! (said while dashing around us) AND OVER HERE! *jumps around the car* THEN I WILL USE THIS PHONE AND THIS CAMERA AND MICKEY MOUSE IS GOING TO COME ON THE SCREEN AND WE'LL HAVE TO GET A PICTURE OF THAT IT'S MICKEY MOUSE IN A SPACESUIT AND THEN OUR SCI FI LOGO WILL BE GREAT FOR ANOTHER PICTURE AND WE'LL GET ANOTHER ONE OF YOU TWO IN THE BACK OH WON'T THAT BE GREAT FOR THE PHOTO ALBUM AND MICKEY MOUSE ON THE SCREEN IN A SPACESUIT OH YOU'RE GOING TO LOVE IT HERE WE GO I'LL TAKE THAT CAMERA!"

Throughout that whole thing he was moving around us rapidly.

I couldn't do it. I immediately lost it. I don't remember who's camera or phone he took first. We intended for him to just use one of our cameras but he ended up taking both of our cameras and my iPhone, all in great succession.

He would run around the car with such speed taking photos and talking ENDLESSLY. I could not breathe. I was trying so hard to not die but it was really difficult. I didn't want him to think I was making fun of him either, quite the contrary, I was definitely laughing with him, not AT him. I appreciated his craziness, but I could not even speak to convey this to him. I was having trouble breathing. Gina was laughing really hard too but I don't know if it compared to me. I was actually in pain, and crying, from laughing so hysterically.

He just kept going on and on, talking VERY FAST and zipping around the car taking photos of us. He kept mentioning Mickey Mouse in the spacesuit over and over and over and getting REALLY excited about it and acting like it was the biggest deal in the world that Mickey Mouse was going to be on the screen IN HIS SPACESUIT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! soon and we had to get the picture. When that happened he made Gina take the picture, seriously you would think he was urging her to capture a million dollars, he was just SO PUMPED about it and talking endlessly. MICKEY MOUSE IN HIS SPACESUIT!!!!!!!!!!!!!! SPACE!!!!!!!!!!! SUIT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!MICKEYMOUSEINHISSPACESUITYOUHAVETOGETAPICTURE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I could not even think or breathe or do anything. I was in such a state of laughter, you have no idea. I wish I had a video of this lunatic (I say that in a loving way) because unless you've encountered this man you will never know how funny it really was.

I can not even tell you how often I think of this and CRACK UP LAUGHING to myself. This guy was a HOOT. I couldn't breathe. If I had a paper bag I literally would have used it to help myself breathe. IT WAS THE FUNNIEST THING IN THE WORLD.

Here are all the crazy pictures that he took.

I seriously have not laughed that hard in so long and that was AFTER I HAD ALREADY LAUGHED SO HARD I HAD TEARS IN MY EYES TWICE. THAT. DAY.

I don't even know what to say anymore. Let's just sum it up by saying I did not stop laughing for a long time. We were talking about that the whole rest of the trip, like it was killing us.

I really wish I had gotten that CM's name. It's not every day someone reduces me to a giggling hyena who can not form words. I would like him to be my server next time.

SO THAT WAS AWESOME.

10894343394_b885fbec64_z.jpg

@babybritney: At Sci Fi, i laughed til I cried... 3rd time today that happened. HILARIOUSLY ABSURD DAY.

10894988953_aaa7c52336_z.jpg

After pulling ourselves together and finishing up we headed out of Sci Fi and toward the front of the park. Since we didn't have to get up early the next day we were gonna go to Downtown Disney again. However not only was I REALLYREALLY tired and not up for a repeat of our late night DTD fun from the 19th, Fantasmic was about to start!!

Even though I had already seen it two times this trip I REALLY wanted to see it again! I just became a Fantasmic addict during #BirthdayFestivus13. I don't know why but as time as gone on I have grown to love that show even more than in the past. I knew this was my last chance to see it for awhile (I had no idea when I'd be back in Disney, at the time I estimated it was going to be a LONG time).

So I asked Gina if she wanted to go see it again and she said NO!!!!

JUAT?!

I was just.... I was just.... PHYSICALLY being pulled by unseen forces down Sunset Boulevard in the direction of this show. There was nothing I could do. Like I needed to see it. So I told Gina that she was under no obligation to go again, and she could do whatever she wanted, but I just really wanted to go! She didn't seem too keen on doing anything alone. I was just like, "I can't walk out of this park when Fantasmic is about to start." All you DIS-addicts know what I'm saying. So she agreed to see it again and we headed back there. WOO!

As we got closer she seemed to get more excited about the idea, especially when she remembered she could get cinnamon glazed pecans. YUM.

I stopped in Villains in Vogue, pin traded, and then went into Sweet Spells.

Day 10, Part 7 In Which Mickey Does The American Walk!

I love the Jack Skellington and Kermie apples the most (:

10894726035_0208ee17dc_z.jpg

I went with a Pluto cookie and I WAS REALLY EXCITED ABOUT IT

10894764526_298ce7f54e_z.jpg

We headed over to the theatre and there was no wait or anything. It was actually pretty empty. I love those late night shows! If you have the option of going to the 2nd Fantasmic of the night, go with that one every time.

I love the views of the back of my Tower. The way it's lit makes it not even look real, honestly.

10894724885_0aec90fd71_z.jpg

Did you know that light glowing from the window is not a light on in real room? It's what Disney calls a "dummy room". Very appropriate being that it's in Hollywood Studios, since dummy rooms are used in film and TV all the time.

10894724295_205a13c15d_z.jpg

Once we got to the theatre, Gina got her pecans and we found a seat. We were in almost the EXACT same spot we had been in the other night, which was also the same as when Jess, Lee-Anne and I were there the week before! Center, like 10 rows up! THE PERFECT FANTASMIC SEATS!!! AGAINAAAAAAAAAHHH!!!!

10537463605_8714fd782d_z.jpg

I think it is clear by now that I love Fantasmic with a fiery, burning passion. If you told me two years ago that I would see it three times in one trip, I'd probably just say, "Why?" I mean, I used to love it, but not 3-times-in-one-trip love it.

Now I'm just obsessed. I think because it's just such a random and fun celebration of Disney. There are just so many different characters and it's very 90's, it's like my childhood exploding before my eyes. And I can't imagine ever seeing the princess part and not crying, it's just beautiful. The lead in for that section is so amazing too, with Pocahontas and John Smith. And if that giant white boat at the end steered by Steamboat Willie doesn't make you smile, you are probably made of stone so I would probably get that checked out.. The music is just SO uplifting and fun. It's such a blast and I hum/sing it all the time. Oh my GOD it's just so DISNEYEYEYYY AND PERFECT UGHHDHDSDFKJ I LOVE FANTASMIC!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Remember the American Walk from the day before? Gina and I had been doing it all day cause we are obnoxious. And then we caught MICKEY DOING IT!!

10894906025_457cd8fde0_z.jpg

hahaha YOU GO MICKEY MOUSE.

MY FAVORITE PART AHHH CRYING FOREVER. Did you know they re-did these princess floats? The lights are different now, all shiny and new, it's quite awesome!

10537469146_5f87b67a96_z.jpg

10537462225_325afd0465_z.jpg

Perfection. Le sigh.

10537681563_39ed95821d_z.jpg

We did not leave Fantasmic the normal way. We got to go BACKSTAGE! Which was only the first of two times we went backstage this trip. It wasn't deep into the backstage area and there wasn't a lot going on but I did see one of the mirrors that Cast Members are supposed to look in before going "on stage" aka into the park. It's a full length mirror with a Mickey decal on the bottom and it says "On with the show!" I would post a picture but Jess is in this report and I don't want to get her in trouble!

We came out somewhere on Sunset Boulevard, and then it was back to Pop Century for some much needed REST! Oh my God, I was so tired. Only downside of having 14 days in Disney? Your second week is a bit clouded by fatigue. Oh well, I'd rather be tired in Disney than wide awake wishing I had a longer trip!

Sounds like you had another perfect trip!! I cannot wait to read about it and I loved your costume! It looks like a lot of time went into that. Fantasmic never gets old. I can't wait to see it again! I love those Disney moments where everything is perfect and those hilarious moments happen!!! So awesome you have another trip in the works! I have a month and a half yet!!!

WE SAW THIS GUY! He was ENDLESSLY photographing the car in front of us, and kept mentioning stuff like "This is going to be the money shot!" He got their photo with the Sci Fi logo, with Walt, with MICKEY IN THE SPACESUIT, etc. At least 10 pictures!! At first I thought it was the people in the car asking for more photos and I was thinking to myself, "JEEZ PEOPLE, how many photos do you need of yourselves eating in a car?!?!?!"

However, my DH loved it because he was happy to get pictures of said Sci Fi logo, Walt Disney, and MICKEY IN THE SPACESUIT.

Yay for 3 Fantasmics! For some reason (probably because we listen to the music all the time :rolleyes1) DH and I REALLY wanted to see Fantasmic this year. We usually skip it because we have never been big fans of the show, but DS seemed old enough to handle it this year, so we thought we would try. But we never ended up seeing it.:sad:

Check out my signature! I'm going to Disney in less than a month! Mickey invited me to his Christmas party... so I can't very well not show up. That would be really rude. It's just a quick trip this time. 5 days since it is the holidays and all. And plus I just went. So ya know. I don't care though 5 days is perfect and I am SO EXCITED and I CAN'T BELIEVE I get to be in Disney again for all the great holiday events!!! And so soon!!!!!! Me and Jess really miss our December 2011 trips so we are going to get to celebrate the holiday together again and it is going to be SPECTACULAR. Gina's coming for a day or two as well! I absolutely can not wait!!! ahhh!!!

Holy heck, Lia, that is AMAZING!!! I have been dying for a Christmas trip lately, so I can't wait to see all your pictures on Instagram!!! Damn, you are going to be writing reports like CRAZY! I love it!

OMG I am so with you on this Lia. Every trip I'm the planner and guide and it does get really frustrating. I don't mind making suggestions, but some input would be nice. I guess I just always want everyone else to have the absolute best time possible (in part to show why I'm so Disney obsessed), but in doing so, I forget to have the best time possible myself. That is easily the best thing about solo trips. No pressure.

Oh God what a Rock and Roll experience. I would have been in hysterics too. It did get me thinking though. They should totally change the start to completely random. Like sometimes it launches on 5, another at 2, etc. I mean if ToT can do random, why not RnRC? I think it would be awesome and also produce some fabulous ride photos.

ONE MAN'S DREAM! I so love exploring in here but I never noticed that "WALT'S INTERVIEW FOR CANADIAN BROADCASTING"! I think I just died. :faint:

:rotfl2: at the Sci-Fi selfies... especially Prince. And the Hillbillies.

:rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: at the antics of the Next Top Model photographer auditioning, Spacesuit Mickey obsessed CM.

I love Fantasmic too!!! I don't know that I'll be able to recreate the magic that was the last time I saw it, but Imma gonna try at least TWO TIMES this December.

AHHHH YOURGOINGBACKSOSOON!!!!! Looks like you'll be arriving shortly after I depart (bummer), but I'll be sure to get everything fully prepped and ready for your arrival. :santa:

That RnR experience is really funny and I don't even like roller coasters! I've gotta say that I'm glad that didn't happen to me the only time I've been on it. I think the anticipation would have resulted in something other than laughter! Haha.

As for the CM at Sci-Fi... all I can say is HOORAY for enthusiasm!!!! There's not nearly enough of it in everyday life and I love that!

And I'm very much looking forward to reading Lia trip reports from now until the end of time :)

Oh my god the Rock N Rollercoaster incident. I think Steven Tyler was just trying to mess with us.

I totally forgot about taking those selfies in Sci Fi! We're pretty odd. I'm so jealous of my former self whenever you post pictures of the food we had. Spinach Artichoke dip please!!!
As soon as I asked for a picture (now keep in mind I expected him to take one, maybe two pictures of us in the car from one angle and that's it) he launched into this extremely long series of words that, when strung together at a normal pace, probably actually meant something.
I REALLY wish I had been able to get a video of that guy. It's so hard to explain to people how insane he was. :rotfl:
It's not every day someone reduces me to a giggling hyena who can not form words.
LOL. The second to last picture really captures the hysteria. We were DYING.

Remember the American Walk from the day before? Gina and I had been doing it all day cause we are obnoxious.
TRUTH.

Exactly four weeks from today I will be seeing you again! In Disney!!!!!!! (If they happen to schedule me for work I'm gonna have to burn the place down. :furious:) I'm so excited!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :hyper:

Oh my gosh!! This trip is sounding like one for the books, seriously.

That CM sounds totally hilarious! You described it so well!! That girl behind you sure wasn't feeling the hilarity. You're in Walt Disney World, girl! I bet these are some of your favorite pictures of you & Gina.

You are so right! Fantasmic is just a wonderful mix of randomness & the 90s. As everything should be! Wait until you get to see it in Disneyland on the rivers of America! Oh my goodness, it's gonna blow your mind!

Hooray for more updates! Fab reading as usual Lia! :)

That guy in Sci-Fi sounds a total scream! You certainly struck lucky when you asked him to take your photo!! :rotfl:

Umm...is it just me who can see a face on the top part of the tower in that photo?! (The 2 little lights are the eyes, then there's a nose & mouth underneath...)

I am SO SO happy for you that you get to return to Disney World again so soon & for MVMCP!! :santa: I must confess though that I'm also just a little bit envious! I think it's going to be at least another 3 years before I'm able to return :sad1: I am so grateful for trip reports like yours though because the detail & enthusiasm you write with lets me feel like I'm right there with you...but far less exhausted!!!! So thank you!! :thumbsup2

Best wishes,
S.xx

Day 11, Part 1 In Which I Return To Andy's Room!

Gina, Jess, and I all slept in this morning. WHICH WAS GREAT!! I know there is no sleeping in Disney but I'm a rulebreaker!!!

This was going to be a no-park day since 10 days is the limit for me and 4 days was the limit for Gina's discounted Florida resident ticket.

It was also time to switch from Pop Century to All Star Movies! I was SO excited because Movies is where I got #StuckInDisney, and I hadn't been there since. I knew I was going to get emotional going back there because that trip was so ridiculously special to me.

In addition to that, Gina had only seen Movies for like 30 minutes when she came to pick me up, which was a MAJOR tease. I'm sure she never thought that she would be staying there 6 months later! Dreams do come true. :-)

We got up around 9:30/10 and packed up all our stuff. Then we called Bell Services to help us take it all down to Brooke. You can have Disney deliver your bags to your next resort, but I like to do it myself because that can take up to three hours, and I would just prefer to have it with me. Also, there's the small chance of it getting lost.

I grabbed one more shot of Pop on the way out...

10909058595_70401956a5_z.jpg

I was kinda sad to leave - it's the first Disney Resort I ever stayed at and the one I've stayed at the most. It feels like home and it's still exciting to me. Maybe not as much so as staying somewhere new, but it just has that "This is MY place" feeling... even though millions of other people have stayed there. But like... it's mine. Luckily, we came back a couple days later and Jess and I stayed there from October 30-November 6! Never enough POP.

Once we arrived at All Star Movies, we had Bell Services help bring our bags up to our room and we checked in.

OUR ROOM WAS LOCATED IN ANDY'S ROOM! YAY!

10909089146_aa70618be5_z.jpg

You may remember my extreme emotional attachment to Andy's Room. I mean, it's where I got stuck, but it's also such a giant (literally) representation of childhood for me. I definitely grew up with that film and it just means so much.

I loved the Toy Story art in the room... it was different than the one that had been in my room last year!

9518798486_96e6833f33_z.jpg

Also, in October 2012 I was in Woody's building, and this time we were in Buzz's.

10909782636_b83a9c435f_z.jpg

10909893054_e1e6707da6_z.jpg

As I have said in my other TRs, as Values go, I enjoy Pop Century more than All Stars overall, but the inside of All Stars rooms are decorated better.

9518799868_587c5c7693_z.jpg

I've already posted pics of the details of the All Stars rooms in my last TR... but since Jess took some good ones on this trip why not share them too? Thanks Jess!

9516006449_a031ccb4cc_z.jpg

For example, the Pop coat hangers are the same only plain, without adorable characters making a movie on them. I love what the designers at All Stars did with all the little details of the room.

9516004177_eed9a43eb2_z.jpg

Pop doesn't have that, but they do have Pluto breakdancing and Goofy dressed as a hippie on the bed comforters... so I forgive them. :D

Again, characters all over the curtains - these are plain at Pop as well.

9518793376_960fefc7e9_z.jpg

I'm sure some people do prefer minimalist, but I love seeing the characters everywhere.

The movie theme continues into the bathroom, whereas at Pop there is no theme in theirs.

9516001913_88fb4c1658_z.jpg

I love the mirror as well!

9518791230_e2d49ab688_z.jpg

There are many more photos of the Toy Story section in my Stuck In Disney report if you want to see. I didn't take many here because I didn't want to take the same pictures all over again.

We had been discussing where to go to lunch, and I just really felt like Wolfgang Puck Express again. Yes, for the 3rd time this trip! It's not even the first time I've been to that restaurant three times in one trip. IT'S JUST THE BEST.

Jess and Gina were definitely in agreement so we headed over to Downtown Disney!

10909755316_beeec84477_z.jpg

Gina got the Vegetable Sandwich again, since this time she was hungry enough to enjoy it even more than the other night.

10909387163_c5ca90afae_z.jpg

10909724115_c8e8cf5ee5_z.jpg

Double food pics...awww yeah. Gina's a big fan of this meal. The fries are SOOO good.

Jess and I decided to split a Four Cheese Pesto Pizza and macaroni and cheese, a meal we have both gotten here MANY times.

9518774078_ffa1fd4385_z.jpg

9518773186_5d2ba1dee8_z.jpg

We also picked up another pesto pizza to save for the next day since we had an extra CS credit.

I love Wolfgang Puck Express so much. You just can't beat the place. The quality of food to price ratio is absolutely outstanding. There are a lot of things in Disney that feel too expensive, but we love them anyway, so we pay it. Wolfgang Puck Express is the opposite of that - you kind of feel like you're getting away with something because the food is Table Service quality, and you're paying Counter Service prices.

After lunch, we split up because Jess wanted to go hang out with her friend Mark, who's CP had ended. He was leaving the next day and she was pretty devastated over it, so she wanted to spend as much time with him as possible.

Gina and I walked around for a bit, and I pin traded.

10909081805_8951490a51_z.jpg

Oh T-Rex... I miss your delicious food and rad color-changing atmosphere. Maybe I will have to make an ADR for my next trip.

10909216624_3a177b1b64_z.jpg

Gina and I took the bus back to Movies and then went to her car to go... OFF PROPERTY!!!!!

I know, I know. It's awful but it had to be done. I believe Gina needed some kind of medicine to help with her lactose intolerance.

We tried to go to a Walgreens but we couldn't find it. So we ended up at Gooding's. I was happy because I used to go there with my parents back when we rented a car during our trips. So it brought back some nice memories. They have a ton of candy the way candy stores in the mall do, where you get a bag and make your own mix. I used to love doing that. Once I got so much candy that when they weighed it, it was $16! My mom was so mad, but she let me get it cause hey, it's vacation. It lasted me the whole trip and then some!

After grabbing what we needed (no candy this time!) we went back to the room a bit and got ready for some time by the pool.

I almost never use the pools in Disney because there are just so many other things to do. However, on a trip this long, it would have been silly not to. I was ready for a relaxing day!

We noticed the light was blinking on the phone so we listened to our message. It was from our pal Mickey Mouse!

Here's a vine of it: https://t.co/rV9mTTheFJ

I wish I got a video of the whole thing... I think Gina has one. Anyway, it was different than the one we got at French Quarter that featured both Mickey and Minnie and they sung Happy Birthday. It's cool they have different ones. I loved both!

We got our swimsuits on and headed over to the Fantasia pool. It was super crowded, which is THE WORST. Like, of all the places to be crowded, a crowded pool is so annoying because first of all, ew, too many bodies soaking in water all around me. Also, there's just no room to swim or do anything when a pool is crowded like that. Gina & I swim around a lot and do flips and handstands and stuff cause we rule, so we wanted room to do those things.

I remembered the Mighty Ducks pool from my last trip, and figured it wouldn't be as crowded. At least I hoped so! Gina and I headed over there.

Luckily, I was right. It was MUCH less crowded at the Mighty Ducks pool. That's a big resort tip: all of them have multiple pools, so feel free to move on if one isn't to your liking. The Mighty Ducks pool is definitely what I would consider the "quiet pool" of All Star Movies.

Also, Goofy is dressed as a Mighty Duck. So it's the best pool at Disney is what I'm saying.

10909215574_1531cf685b_z.jpg

I wonder if Emilio Estevez has sunbathed here before. He probably stays at the Deluxes due to the whole Hollywood royalty thing, but I think he'd enjoy it here!

10909861794_bbb81927f4_z.jpg

I loved the little detail of the snowflakes embedded into the cement.

10909383193_ae213a84cd_z.jpg

It was so weird to just lay down on the chair and relaxed for a long time! I put my headphones on and listened to glorious music and just... SAT THERE!

In general I am not a lay by the pool kind of person. I want to get up and do something. I want an adventure, but it Day 11 of this trip, and I was zonked.

Eventually we got up and swam for a long time. Gina and I are such pool people, like she used to have a big in-ground pool at her house growing up and we would just stay in it all day. We would pretend we were Ariel, and also played various morbid games such as "Titanic" in which we would drown, and "Scream" in which we would chase each other as killers and victims. We were awesome children. :D

Day 11, Part 2 In Which A Southern CM Gives Us Some Solid Advice

During this time, we were also trying to figure out where we wanted to eat that night. It's so hard to decide when there are so many great Disney restaurants that you want to try. I definitely wanted to pick a new-to-me place, and Gina was pretty open to wherever I wanted to go as long as she could find something on the menu that fit her preferences as a vegetarian.

I finally narrowed it down to Big River Grille at the Boardwalk and Boatwright's at Riverside. I wanted to try Big River mainly because I just love the Boardwalk and always want to spend more time there, but also because they have beer cheese soup on the menu! I wanted to see how it would compare to my beloved Le Cellier Cheddar Cheese Soup.

Eventually, we ended up choosing Boatwright's. Before I left for this trip I just had Boatwright's stuck in my head as a place I wanted to try, and when I visited Riverside the week before I just loved it so much that I wanted to go back. This was a great choice and we ended up having the BEST night, but I'm getting ahead of myself!

We left the pool and headed to go fill up our mugs.

10909214154_021345402d_z.jpg

10909382343_60e697bc22_z.jpg

Again, I took a lot more pictures of All Stars on my last trip. I'm not too keen on putting the same stuff in my reports so go check that one out if ya missed it.

10909381793_7e6ed52bd4_z.jpg

Then we went back to Andy's Room, took showers and got ready for an awesome night!

Look at us all ready to go.

10909862064_9d59823c22.jpg

Gina decided to take a selfie while I was telling a story and captured me doing this:

10910029583_697027626e_z.jpg

Which made us crack up.

We drove over to Riverside in Gina's car which I had named Manuela. Gina kept insisting that was not the name of her car, however I disagreed.

As you probably know, when you drive up to a Disney Resort you have to show ID to get in and tell them what you're doing there. Gina got her ID out and showed it to the CM while telling him that we had a reservation at Boatwright's.

He stepped closer to the window and said in his thick southern accent, "I'm gonna give you loveleh ladies some advahce. For your appetizer, get the puhcahn paah. For your entree, get the puhcahn paah. And for your dessert... you make sure you get the puhcahn paah."

We were dying.

We chatted with him for a second and I was giggling so hard. Apparently, he is a big fan of the pecan pie. He reminded us again that we had to get the puhcahn paah before driving away. Oh man, this guy.

10909212504_00821f511b_z.jpg

We went right to Boatwright's and checked in for our reservation.

10909212214_542e66844b_z.jpg

I was given a pager and told we could wait in the River Roost Lounge. At the time, nothing was going on in there... but that would change. Oh, would that change!

After about 10 minutes in the lounge, our pagers went off and we were seated!

Boatwright's is just lovely. It wasn't very crowded and I just love the atmosphere in there.

Our waitress came by and she was just so sweet. She was an older lady from South America and took very good care of us!

10909380283_ed6d857401_z.jpg

She took our drink orders and brought us a delicious basket of corn bread and butter!

10909073595_cdf7599659_z.jpg

The bread was AMAZING. I am craving it right now.

For our drinks, I (obviously) got the best drink ever, All Natural Lemonade With Wildberry Foam.

10909210644_4e246c7376_z.jpg

@babybritney: If you are anywhere in WDW that has the all natural lemonade with the wild berry foam, GET IT! It's my new obsession this trip.

Seriously, it's the best. I think I got it like 4 times on my trip that just passed. Any time I see it, I grab it.

Gina got the Southern Hurricane!

10909108176_1d0d7848da_z.jpg

10909377533_5192d653f1_z.jpg

What to eat... a very tough decision making process.

Even though we were using a DDP credit for this meal, I ordered an appetizer and just paid for it cause I was really in the mood for some French Onion Soup!

10909071835_8ea0409f92_z.jpg

French Onion Soup au gratin - with provolone, swiss cheese, roasted crouton

It was good. Not better than the one at Chefs de France, but I wouldn't expect it to be.

For Gina's entree, she got the "Pasta With Shrimp", however she got it the vegetarian way.

This dish is Orecchiette pasta with spinach, mushrooms, peas, Shallots, Goat Cheese, and Sun-dried Tomato Pesto. If you want the non-Vegetarian option that comes with Shrimp, it's $20.99. If you want to have chicken instead, it's $18.99. If you want the vegetarian version, it's $17.99. I love all the options!

10915926756_3bd56b2ae7_z.jpg

Gina LOVED this dish. It was really packed with mushrooms which she loves. She was raving about it, so that's definitely an option for all you veggies out there!

I went with the complete opposite... a steak!

I knew I wanted steak, I just couldn't decide between the Prime Rib and the New York Strip. I was leaning toward the Prime Rib because it had red wine demiglace (which I LOVE, anything involving wine is a thumbs up) and came with mashed potatoes, which I was also really in the mood for. However, when I asked the waitress to about the steaks she said that the Prime Rib was really fatty, so if I minded that, I should get the strip.

10909103496_2c4c32d48b_z.jpg

Well... the strip was way fatty! I should have just gotten the Prime Rib.

It was still good though. I enjoyed it, but it was nowhere near the best NY strip I've had. I think I would have liked the Prime Rib dish better.

The strip came with a brandy-peppercorn glace with Yukon gold potatoes, arugula and balsamic vinagrette. It was tasty, but I was longing for the red wine demiglace and mashed potatoes.

During this whole dinner, we heard tons of music and screaming coming from the River Roost Lounge next door. It was the same rowdy piano player that Jess and I had seen for a minute the week before when we set out on our late night pin trading adventure. It was of course the one, the only... BOB JACKSON!!!

But we didn't know that yet.

Hearing all of the hilariousness coming from the room next door was SO FUNNY. He was singing his own zany versions of classic songs and just overall being nuts and getting the crowd super into it. It was beyond hilarious and we planned on going there to hang out and watch him later on!

For dessert, Gina decided to trust our friend from the gate and go with the puhcahn paah. We kept saying it in his accent over and over and cracking up.

10915874355_5995d20f68_z.jpg

Gina thought it was really good, but not quite AS good as the man at the gate lead us to believe. I tasted it as well and thought it was delicious... but I wouldn't get it for my appetizer, entree, and dessert as the gate CM suggested. Puhcahn paah.

I was really just in the mood for chocolate! So I got the chocolate cake with fresh cream and raspberry sauce.

10909374583_a85a9c2734_z.jpg

So good! The cream on the plate especially made it. This was huge, though! Definitely enough for two people to share.

Overall, this meal didn't knock it out of the park for me but that would not stop me from going back. It was still very good, and I just love Riverside so much.

10909205484_769a110a52_z.jpg

Our plan after dinner was to walk to French Quarter so Gina could see it and also so we could get beignets. YUM.

On the way we met Tom!

10909069335_21b70b14e8_z.jpg

Tom is a horse with green radio active eyes.

10909068995_12111515b2_z.jpg

Actually he is a normal horse. Uhh... I think. He is sooo beautiful. Looking at a horse face to face always gives me chills. They're just so majestic and when they look you in the eye it's like they are really seeing you or something. Do I sound stoned? I don't know how else to explain it, I just love them!

10915874415_4492bf92f6_z.jpg

A CM randomly told us that his name was Tom which we found really amusing. For some reason when an animal is named a human name it always makes me chuckle. For example, recently someone brought a chihuahua into my store and told me its name was Lupe. I laughed for three days.

I was so happy to walk over to POFQ because I love it so much and staying there was so amazing. I couldn't wait to get back and I'm really glad I had a chance to do that! This is what happens when you go to Disney for two whole weeks, people! I highly recommend it.

Our walk to French Quarter was lovely as usual. On the way, we noticed Brave was the movie they were showing across the river that night. YAY BRAVE.

So then we get to the courtyard where they show movies at French Quarter, and CINDERELLA WAS PLAYING. Like the part where she's at the ball dancing with the prince was on. AHH MAGICAL.

10909100886_9c1dbcafe5_z.jpg

It was SO PERFECT. Gina was just dying because Cinderella is like her favorite thing in the world. It could not have been better.

We sat down to watch the rest of the movie. The weather was perfect, the trip was going so well, it was just one of those random things in Disney you don't plan for but the fates align and it was just SO magical.

10909099926_5204822374_z.jpg

Probably one of my favorite moments of the trip. Such a fun night! And it was not close to being over yet.

Day 11, Part 3 In Which We Are Wowed by the Awesomeness That Is Bob Jackson!

After the movie ended, we headed over to Sassagoula Floatworks for some beignets.

10909098056_40acb937e3_z.jpg

I just had to get them a third time. I expected Gina would want to share an order of 3 with me, but she was like NO DUDE I NEED MY OWN. So we got two orders and saved what we didn't eat for the next day.

After that we went to pin trade in the lobby and in the gift shop. I really like this store, I think they have a really good variety of merchandise. This includes books about GASTON and his Mardi Gras adventures.

10909066515_582e660ae8_z.jpg

No, not THE Gaston from Beauty & the Beast... instead it's a crocodile wearing a crown. Good for him!

So then walked back to Riverside. You can't really see, but this says "City of Port Orleans". I love details like this.

10909064305_7ab8978b3d_z.jpg

I did some pin trading in the Riverside lobby next.

10915874485_c212dc3c0e_z.jpg

The Riverside lobby is just so gorgeous. It really feels like a Deluxe resort to me. If you want that Deluxe feeling for less, Riverside is for you. Actually, Riverside is for everyone. I can't imagine someone not liking this place unless you hate beauty and flawlessness.

After pin trading, we went right into the River Roost lounge to see Bob Jackson.

Let me tell you something. I don't care who you are or what kind of stuff you like to do in Disney.

GO TO RIVERSIDE AND SEE BOB JACKSON.

This man must be seen to be believed.

I have never seen someone with so much energy in my life. I am serious.

He is such a unique and fun performer. I'm IN LOVE with him basically. I don't even know where to begin to describe his way of performing. He's so silly and funny and an extremely talented musician.

It's crazy because I now know he is well known in the Disney fan community but I had never heard of him before. I'd definitely file him in the "hidden gem" category. But more like hidden diamond since he is the BEST.

10917545456_9fd239599a_z.jpg

10917819126_794b5e26dd_z.jpg

10917489855_8af5ecca04_z.jpg

As Gina & I walked into the lounge, he was playing a sped-up version of Billy Joel's classic "Piano Man", screaming various cities and states in between lyrics. Like this:

"Sing us a song, MILWAUKEE!!!!! you're the piano man, sing a song tonight PHILADELPHIA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

He was referencing the hometowns of people in the audience. Yes, he does call people out and ask them questions and stuff. Even if you are the type of person who is usually made uncomfortable by this, GO SEE BOB JACKSON. I'm telling you, this whole audience was extremely into the show. I didn't see ONE person who was just kind of sitting back and watching. Bob has the power that the upper tier level performers of the world have -- he transforms an audience into an excited and involved group of kids eager for more.

Here's a few vines of him:

@babybritney: https://t.co/iKgPF3WCn2
I'm in love with Bob 6ever (6ever is a thing now we have decided to move on from 5ever) https://t.co/P9tD5qDRBC
Harmonicaaaaaa https://t.co/b1HWoq6X6d
I love this man https://t.co/vdeJc6sTKP
This guy has more fun than anyone I've ever met https://t.co/RiJKsUccqf

Gina and I sat at the bar, which is to the left of Bob's little stage.

I ordered a Diet Coke with grenadine and it came in a frozen glass, which I love.

10909199234_01b2d1f39e_z.jpg

Bob mostly plays to the right, where everyone in the lounge sits. Foolishly, I assumed he hadn't seen us girls.

Bob had just compelled every man in the audience to get on their back and throw their arms and legs around as if they were a turtle that got flipped upside down.

When I tell you that every single guy in there did this willingly, I'm dead serious. Bob just creates that kind of vibe where you want to join in the fun.

I'm sure the alcohol helped too, but I strongly doubt every guy in there was drunk. Some people had kids with them.

"These two girls over here sittin' by the bar... where are you from?!" Bob asked.

Oh. HE SEES US. Gina and I started laughing and said, "New Jersey."

"NEW JERSEY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! WOOOOHOOOOOO!" he exclaimed, and added the state to his neverending list of locations to call out in between classic song lyrics. He also asked, "ANYONE ELSE HERE FROM NEW JERSEY?!" and everyone screamed. That's part of his act - anytime he asks anyone where they are from, he then asks the whole room if they are from that place too, and everyone screams yes. Hahahaha I love him.

Before his next song, he announced that all the ladies had to get up and stand by the stage and do the hand jive. All of the ladies in the lounge got up, but Gina and I kept sitting because we were right by the stage anyway.

Bob said, "THIS INCLUDES ALL LADIES FROM NEW JERSEY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

Hahahahahahahahaha.

Now, how did we think we were gonna get away with that one? LOL.

We got off our barstools and headed to the stage. I am a pro at the hand jive due to my endless appreciation of the movie Grease, so this really was no problem. Bob went over the basic concept of it with everyone and we practiced a few times before truly getting into our performance.

IT WAS SO MUCH FUN. Omg, I love Bob. It's so funny how I hadn't even heard of him before the trip and here I was with Gina, doing the hand jive with him and a crowd of strangers. What a blast!!!

The show ended soon after and Bob and I took a selfie.

10918054633_636bc0ebab_z.jpg

Yup, it's the best photo ever. I know. It's pretty much my most prized possession.

We also took a group pic that Bob posted on his Facebook.

10917544916_482030582d_z.jpg

He also gave us 8x10 photos of himself which he personalized and autographed.

Gotta love Bob.

Overall, I'd say Bob's show is like getting hit in the face HARD with a giant whirlwind of fun. It's just so. much. fun. and so unique and unexpected. It feels so intimate, like we're all from the same town enjoying a local legend or something, and yet we're all from different places in the most popular vacation destination in the world. Bob is a hit because he's a classic, he plays all the songs you've known your whole life and he plays them well, adding his own flair and some ridiculousness too. His audiences run around the room, roll around on the floor, dance, sing, etc. He's just amazing and I will DEFINITELY be back to see him many more times in the future!!! GO BOB!!!!!!!!!

He plays Thursday-Sunday at Riverside from 8:30-11:45 PM. DON'T MISS HIM!

It was nearing midnight which means Gina and I had to get back home before our carriage turned into a pumpkin! JK, we had a different problem: our DDP credits were ending at midnight and we hadn't used them all yet! #disneygirlproblems hahaha

So we went into the Riverside Mill Food Court to get a CS meal that we could put in the fridge and have another time.

It was hard to decide what to get, like what would be the best tasting the next day or the day after. I chose the Create Your Own Pasta again because I'd had leftovers of it earlier in the trip and it's so great!

It was so weird ordering food when we were SO RIDICULOUSLY full from Boatwright's and the beignets.

For my dessert I got a sugar cookie.

I took this photo after eating half of it in the car ride back to Pop. Apparently I have extra stomach space for cookies.

I went over to Fulton's General Store which was closed but luckily there was a CM right at the door who was able to help me. I wanted a bag with handles because they didn't have them available at the Food Court (which was unusual) and we needed something to carry our food in!

The CM there gladly went to get me a bag and I went back over to Gina, who was sitting at a table, struggling to eat a small amount of her Create Your Own Pasta so that she was able to close the box.

Oh my God, this was comical. You see, Create Your Own Pasta at Riverside comes in a to go box so that when you don't finish it, you can easily pack it up and go without having to request a box. It's quite convenient. The only problem is... they overfill the container because they assume that when you are ordering the pasta, you're actually hungry.

We were so NOT hungry, I can't even tell you. But we had to eat some of it.

We were groaning, trying to eat as many pieces as possible. With every bite I found myself expanding. It was ridiculous.

I finally had to give up and just take some of the pasta out and throw a bit away. I hate wasting food, but there was just no other way!

While we were sitting down, we noticed a princess balloon floating by itself at an empty table. It was one of the purple PRE-REDESIGN princess balloons they sell at the Magic Kingdom for $10. Jess had been saying how she was so happy she got one of these for her birthday the week before, just under the wire before they started phasing them out and selling the new princess balloons. It was the end of an era!!!

Balloon selfie time.

I kind of wanted to just take the balloon but I figured that wouldn't be good if some kid had left it by accident. I pictured a stressed father running frantically into the food court, trying to claim the balloon while a child cried in a nearby hotel room.

There was a little girl at a nearby table, staring at the balloon longingly. Her mom seemed to be reprimanding her, and another woman who I assume was her grandmother, was sitting there too.

Finally the little girl said to me, her big beautiful eyes filled with longing, "Is that your balloon?" I told her it wasn't.

A huge smiled formed on her face. "CAN I HAVE IT?!" she asked.

I melted and said sure, getting up to bring the balloon over to her. Hey, maybe I didn't wanna take the balloon, but this kid was so adorable and wanted the balloon *so badly* and I just couldn't resist.

"No," the mom said, stopping me in my tracks. The little girl and her grandma objected. The grandma didn't seem to think it was such a big deal. Gina was annoyed at the mom too, and was just like... ugh, let the kid have her balloon.

The mom put her foot down though. "It doesn't belong to you," she said. "But someone just left it here!" the little girl said. Grandma chimed in, "They're just going to throw it away. What's the big deal?"

"It doesn't belong to her and she can't have it. Besides, how are we going to get that home on the plane?"

I muttered something to Gina about how a LOT of people bring home Disney balloons on the plane and it's really not that big of a deal. I see where the mom was coming from, though, you're not supposed to take what isn't yours and like I said before, it would have sucked if someone came back for it only to find it gone. But the Grandma had a point too, it was probably just going to get thrown out. At this point, Riverside Mill was closed so I couldn't imagine it being left there much longer.

I felt sooo bad for the little girl. She was heartbroken. I wish they sold princess balloons at Riverside because I would have went to go buy her one on the spot! Now THAT one would have belonged to her.

There was a nearby CM who was kind of hassling us asking if we were done with our meal. I could tell that she was just trying to clear our table of anything we didn't need, but she came off as annoying. Like, I understand that you want to go home, but we just got our food so can we chill a moment?

It was a weird end to the night! But we finally closed up our pasta boxes and headed to Manuela (Gina's car), and back to Movies.

Jess was there, and she was sad about Mark leaving the next day. The poor thing was super homesick. We told her of all our day's adventures to get her mind off it, and she told us about her day with Mark. He was staying at the Wilderness Lodge, so she went over there where they had some pool time and went to Whispering Canyon Cafe. If you want to read about it, it's in her TR of course! (:

It was a very relaxing yet fun day, and I was SO READY to conquer the next day. It was the last park day of this crazy 2 week extravaganza, and I was SO EXCITED!!! #DISNEY24, BABY!!!!!!!!!!!

This trip is just perfect! You girls are so lucky to have found each other. Speaking from experience, it is very hard to find people who are as crazy obsessed with Disney as us lot on here. That waiter at sci fi! Brilliant! And Bob Jackson! I'll have to go and see him the next time I'm there! Its so cool that you get to go again so soon! I'll be at Disney around Christmas too, but in Paris! :cool1:

I look at the sleeping in as getting every last bit of what you paid for at POP since you have to check out at 11. No point in rushing, it still costs the same. :)

Aww wow, I actually remember seeing Toy Story in the theatre. I seriously don't think I blinked the entire time as I was so absolutely blown away. Obviously the style became the trend, but at the time it was mind blowing.

Haha, I'm not sure Emilio is quite on the A list any more so I think he'd be "slumming" it in the values. Unless he got hold of some of that Charlie Sheen money. :rotfl:

Wow, you gals sure do meet some interesting and fabulous CM's. :thumbsup2

:rotfl2: at "Gaston Goes to Mardi Gras." My GOD I find that so funny. They should do movie crossovers though.

I have definitely heard of Bob Jackson, but I have never seen Bob Jackson. But I have also never heard anything but complete and utter love for him. Clearly what I heard is right.

OMG I am So READY for the DISNEY24 update!! I've been DYING to hear about this SO MUCH!!! :dance3:

But... but... but.. who CARES if you can't take it on the plane! Are you leaving right this second? Let your kid have the balloon for 15 minutes if that's all she can have it for! ARGH. I would have been so mad. :furious:

Sorry, back to your update; glad you enjoyed your more low key day!

Is it bad if I always want a balloon? I think I'll have to buy one this trip. Even if I give it away at the end of the night, I totally want a Disney balloon.

Just wanted to say hi from another NJ native working in the city!! I have been following this report from the beginning and also read your stuck in disney report!! I was there the weekend before Sandy too and would have gotten stuck, but I was there with my parents so my dad decided to rent a car and drive home--it took us 17 hours!!! We stopped once lol it was pretty awful! I'm so jealous that you got stuck down there :) the aftermath of sandy was so terrible it would have been nice to have a distraction.

I can totally relate to your ultra disney fandom because I am the exact same way!!! There aren't too many people out there who really "get it" in the real world. I really like your writing style and how excited you get about everything because if I were to ever write a trip report there would be a lot of caps and exclamation points!! I look forward to reading more!! --Suzanne

Oh my gosh that experience at Sci Fi is simply the best, cm’s like that are the greatest things to come across!! Glad Gina decided to come with you for more Fantasmic! I too have a love for it, and the first time I saw it as an adult I thought “meh” but now, that boat at the end and the grand finale just reduce me to a pile of feelings! LOl. I saw the new princess floats in Oct and they looked great!!

So glad that you’re headed back for the holidays!! We ended up planning an xmas trip too!! Although we’re a few weeks before you, I swear, one of these days we’ll run into each other down there!

Yay for All Star Movies!! I need to stay in Andy’s room next time, it looks beyond cool!! WPE extra pizza? Alwaus a good idea! I have yet to actually spend an adequate amount of time at a Disney pool, the last was because we were at AoA, and there was no way I was NOT getting in the big blue pool when it was brand new!! I’m still sad I missed out on the Poly and AKL’s pools! But I stay deluxe when they’re super short trips so it’s cheaper lol! No time for swimming, but sounds like you and Gina had a nice relaxing afternoon there!!

All your pictures of movies are making me really want to stay there!! Baha! Awesome CM is awesome! That pasta dish sounds delicious!! Sounds like a good experience at dinner, I’ll definitely have to check it out, especially since I do plan on staying at Riverside sometime soon! That looks like a it was a pretty solid evening with lots of entertainment and fun times to be had!

I'm so glad you had an amazing trip with Jess and that you are back posting updates - it really is helping me get over the post-Disney blues.

I was so excited to see you and Jess (and Peter Pan Duffy!) outside Magic Kingdom on my first Disney morning (I think it was your last day, judging by Twitter). I didn't want to bother you so didn't come over and say hi but smiled then told my boyfriend about your trip reports.

I hope you had a magical time and are looking forward to your next trip - I wish I could go back so quickly but won't be back for at least a year and a half :(
