I agree. My first thought when they walked into the door was what are they doing there they had to know that Neil and Karen would be going through something not pleasant to see. I mean, what did Tyra think that Karen and Neil would be decorating to celebrate

My heart went out to Karen, even though she got carried away with the whole adoption thing and not being her child and all.

I did however, like Karen's acting in yesterday's episode. She was very believable.

Does anyone else want to pop out Tyra's eyes with a fork? Is it just me or were her eyes BUGGING OUT more than usual yesterday. It was like the bun on her head was pulled so tight it made her eyes pop out.

I've always hated Tyra. The character and the acting.

I hate that Devon and Lily didn't rip Neil a new one.

I HATE that they all walked in on Karen telling Neil off.

I will now fast forward through any scenes with Neil and Tyra unless he is saying goodbye to her.

Plus when she gave him that look it was right after Ana asked Tyra where they will go now -- like where will they live - doesn't Tyra have an apt?? I got the impression from her look and then Neil's he is going to invite them there.

I think the new Mac watched one million Y&R episodes with Ashley Bashioum TO BE HER!!! No to this "new" Mac, you are NOT Ashley Bashioum...I don't really care if she is the daughter of Cybill Shepard...she needs ACTING LESSONS..she is so blah!

Ohhh...I thought Karen was awesome yesterday. Wow, a good ole SLAP right to the kisser for Mr. Neil!!!

I agree with all of this! I really hated that they walked in while Karen was telling Neil off. Tyra needs to take Anna and go far, far away!

And this new Mac is terrible. She looks old, but she also acts old and uninteresting.

What are the writers thinking here? Do they really expect the audience to embrace what he did? Or come to forgive him in the future?

I'm a relatively new viewer to the show..so I don't have the history with some of the charactes that many here have expressed. That being said..I never "got" WHY they had Neil and Karen adopting the child anyway. I mean...she had a mother/aunt who raised her, yet the only recourse to have her be with family was for Neil and Karen to adopt her. Seemed weird to me from the get go. Did they think this kid would be alright be taken from the only mother she's ever known?..

Hummm....hmmm....well let me see if I can answer correctly and if I miss anything my fellow Y&R Diser's will jump in!!!

Tyra is Ana's aunt. Tyra's sister, Yolanda is Devon and Ana's real mother. Yolanda is a drug addicted. She is not a healthy person at all. Devon was a foster child going from home to home until he entered Lily's life and then Neil and Dru adopted him.

Along comes Ana, who we find out is Devon's biological sister. At the very young age of 15yo, Tyra runs away with Ana (a baby) as she sees how badly her drug addicted sister has become and cannot properly care for Ana. Fearing the authorities would come for the baby, Tyra flees with her.

Tyra and Ana are on the road constantly. Tyra has Ana in and out of schools and in and out of homes while looking for work to support both of them. Traveling constantly in fear of Yolanda.

Now I am not sure how they ended up in Genoa City BUT they did and Devon finds out he has a SISTER and Ana finds out Tyra is NOT her mom, but that Yolanda is and that she is a druggie. Anyway, Tyra is all Ana knows and loves her dearly.

One sober day, Yolanda decides she wants Ana back and claims to the police her sis Tyra has kidnapped Ana. This brings all the authorities in and they feel Ana needs a stable home. Because the Winters have adopted Devon, they step forward to adopt Ana to prevent Yolanda from getting her back and exposing Ana to the drug world. This way Tyra could still be in her life.

THEN we discover in the past few weeks that Neil has slept with Tyra and behind Karen's back while Karen is providing a wonderful comfortable life for Ana, Neil has secretly hired a lawyer to help Tyra get Ana................

So yesterday, Tyra has received full sole custody of Ana. Karen is so upset and confused about her "new" husband and his actions that she has no choice but to leave him.

How did I do????

I'm so glad Lily is back with Cane and I love that Murphy and Katherine are getting married, but I do wish Sharon and Nick and Victor and Nikki would just get over themselves and get back together!!!

On the flip side, add the new Mac to my list of most hated characters... along with Phyllis (who's been #1 on the list since I started the list), Gloria, Tyra, Amber, Adam, Eden, Chloe, and Heather.... OK, I think that about covers them all

Totally agree with everything!! Except I want to take Chloe off your list and I will add Jill. She just annoys me to no end.

Yeah, I'm digging Chloe these days. And I love her with Billy - think they could be crazy-fun together. Billy with this new Mac? Snoozefest!

Cane immediately jumped up a few notches on my faves list when he dropped that custody suit. I can actually tolerate he and Lily now. But a wedding in three weeks? PLEASE!

I really want someone to beat the crap out of Neil. Like REALLY want to see it happen. He has been the most smug, arrogant character on this show for a long time and the way he played Karen was inexcusable. I cannot even stand to see his face on my tv screen anymore.

Wasn't too happy with Lauren today. Sharon clearly has a problem yet they won't cut her any slack? You would think Kevin's family members would have some sympathy for others with issues. The fact that Eden didn't really steal those books still doesn't get her off the hook for all of her other misdeeds; yet Lauren is acting like the girl is a victim.

And I just want to see Kevin get better already.

Lauren's holyier then thou attitude has driven me over the edge since the 80's

i like Michael now - boy have times changed since he raped or attempted to rape or did something that i can't remember now to cricket/christine (speaking of... wish they would bring her back)

nina is coming back (so i hear) and i hope it's for good - wish they'd bring back danny

i'll bend to liking lauren if they bring tracy back for a good old fashion asksicking now that was good 80's soap watching LOL
