i like Michael now - boy have times changed since he raped or attempted to rape or did something that i can't remember now to cricket/christine (speaking of... wish they would bring her back)

nina is coming back (so i hear) and i hope it's for good - wish they'd bring back danny

i'll bend to liking lauren if they bring tracy back for a good old fashion asksicking :happytv: now that was good 80's soap watching LOL

I LOVE Michael!!! And I remember that story with Cricket - wasn't it a whole sexual harassment issue? They worked together at a law firm and then went to a conference at a beach resort - he was pressuring her to sleep with him until Paul rode in on his white horse? Don't miss her though. She was another character who was a little too smug for my liking.

And I do miss those Lauren and Tracy catfights. Those were classic.

Y&R's Nick to Phyllis: "You're the one!"

The week starts off with Phyllis meeting with Lauren to make sure that she's still pressing charges against Sharon for all the stolen items from Fenmore's. "It's funny because all that was stolen from Phylis was that monkey statue," snickers Michelle Stafford. "She's making it a big deal and even Heather is going, 'I'm sure it meant a lot to you, but it's not a huge monetary value.' So Phyllis is trying everything she can to get Sharon behind bars, anything to get her away from Nick. In Phyllis's mind, Sharon is slutting around, stealing things and being a horrible mother."

Meanwhile, Sharon has decided that she wants to turn herself in and pay for what she's done to set a good example for Noah. She writes a confession and plans to take it to the police, but Nick tries talking her out of it. Sharon tells Nick to go back his family and leave her alone. "Every time Sharon thinks she and Nick are getting back together, he chooses Phyllis, so it's not helping Sharon at all. She wants him to just leave her alone if he's going to be with Phyllis."

Nick comes to the conclusion that it's time to make a decision between Sharon and Phyllis and stick to his choice. Easier said than done. Nick pops up at Newman Enterprises to see Phyllis. "He tells her, 'I know things are tough, but you didn't quit on me, so if you'll have me, I'm really ready to come home,'" smiles Morrow.

Phyllis is over the moon. "I would be like, 'You're an ***!'" chuckles Stafford. "But Phyllis is absolutely in love with him and she truly believes that the only reason this trouble is going on is because of the guilt on Nick's part toward Sharon because of the daughter, Cassie, who died. It's not anything else and Phyllis thinks Sharon is completely manipulating him. Phyllis feels like whenever Sharon is out of the picture, they're fine, but when Sharon comes in, Nick just has that soft spot and he can't let go of his own guilt for abandoning his first wife."

The happiness of Phyllis and Nick is short-lived when the police show up with handcuffs. Phyllis is arrested for breaking into Sharon's room, but "Phyllis doesn't think she did anything wrong. She's like, 'What did I do? I uncovered a thief.' She's sort of shocked that she's going to jail because all she did was break into a room and uncovered a thief. She did something good."

As Phyllis is escorted out, Nick is horrified and doesn't follow behind. Says Morrow, "He thinks of a way to take care of this." Nick heads to the GCAC where he runs into Sharon just as Heather pops in. Sharon is about to hand her letter of confession to Heather when Nick grabs it and throws it in the fireplace. "He puts an end to that nonsense right away. He refuses to allow her to do it. Heather isn't happy about it, but Nick doesn't care."

Frustrated, Heather storms off. Sharon appears to disapprove of Nick's actions, but "I think she kind of likes it," grins Sharon Case. "To her, this means that he loves her and wants to protect her. Anything he does for her, she holds on to as hope that this is because of his feelings for her."

Nick reminds Sharon that it's the anniversary of Cassie's car accident. He says, "We have enough going on with Cassie's death; let's not have all this other drama." Nick sees a confession of theft as adding to Sharon's problems while Sharon sees confession as a fix.

Meanwhile, Phyllis is alone at the police station when Jack arrives. He asks her where Nick is and she tells him that she doesn't have a clue. They begin talking and Jack tells her that she needs to take the high road with Sharon. Finally, it clicks with Phyllis and she realizes, "I guess I have to. I can't keep this fight going on." Lauren comes in and Phyllis tells her to drop the charges against Sharon and let it go. Phyllis wants to end all the drama.

By the time Nick shows up, Lauren has already dropped the charges and Nick relays the information to Sharon. "He tries to get Sharon to drop the charges against Phyllis," says Morrow. "He realizes that it's in everyone's best interests to let this all die down. It's a win/win for everybody."

Sharon isn't amused. "She suspects that Phyllis did that because she didn't want Sharon to press charges against her," scoffs Case. "So now Sharon will just look like a jerk if she still goes ahead with it. She knows this is Phyllis's whole bit and Sharon wonders why Nick doesn't see that. Everything Phyllis does has an angle."

Sharon tells Nick that she will drop the charges -- on one condition. "She tells Nick to stay out of her life, once and for all," says Case. "She thought he didn't want her to make the confession because he wanted to be with her but nope, it's for Phyllis. Sharon wants him to be mad at Phyllis, but that doesn't happen. Sharon realizes, 'Oh, he's not coming back to me.' So, enough! She wants him to stop coming back into her life and giving her false hopes, only to let her down again."

Can Nick stick to the deal? Says Morrow, "At this point, he convinces himself that he can do what Sharon asks because it will get Phyllis off the hook... but he doesn't truly believe he can stay away."

•Phyllis gets her hopes up about a reconcilation w/ Nick, he says nothing has changed b/w them. Nikki realizes how bad things have gotten b/w the two, he tells her it's because of Sharon
•Jack and Sharon have dinner together, he gets her smiling again but she's still insecure about what people think of her since her arrest. Sharon comes to realize Jack is her best friend, she notices his interest in Mary Jane and tells him to have fun
•While Chloe and Lily are at work, Cane runs into Billy at Jimmy's bar. Billy is drunk, he tells Cane this is his world. Cane ultimately leaves and tells Chloe that Billy is at the bar. (Billy has no idea that Cane is the new owner of Jimmy's, or worse that Mac wants to work there)
•Following Cane's advice Jill does try to make amends w/ Kay but that doesn't last long, Jill as usual only thinks about herself whining about Kay getting married while her life is a mess
•Mary Jane apologizes for snapping at Jack about Sharon, stating she is just passionate about her job, they end up sharing a drink together. Sharon is shown w/ Gil, he returns items they took that belonged to Sharon (they weren't stolen) Sharon finds the letter she wrote to Nick and is unable to trash it. Phyllis is shown alone, while Nick leaves w/ his mom

Next - Lily w/ their new puppy tells Cane not to convert the nursery; Ashley's haunting continues; Kevin is in a straightjacket!

What does everybody think?? Should Sharon confess and take her lumps? Or, should she continue to plead ignorance with her stealing? :confused3

This week, Ashley begins to worry that she's losing her mind when strange things start happening.

"At first, Ashley knows something is awry," sets up Eileen Davidson. "But as things keep happening, she slowly starts to wonder, 'Maybe it's me.'"

It all starts when Ashley's outside on the Newman grounds. "Ashley hears an infant crying," recounts Davidson. "She runs around like crazy trying to find the source of it. Then she starts screaming for Victor."

Victor runs to Ashley's side, "but he doesn't hear anything," says Davidson. "The crying stops. Ashley insists she definitely heard a baby and that they have to find this abandoned child. Security goes out and searches, but there's nothing."

Ashley, who has dealt with mental health issues in the past, insists that she wasn't just imagining the baby's cries. "She feels defensive, because that's always been an issue and she's sensitive to it," admits Davidson.

Victor and Olivia discuss the possibility of Ashley losing the baby and what would happen to her mental state if she miscarried. "Ashley absolutely promises both of them that if anything feels off at all, she's tell them immediately," notes Davidson.

Later, Ashley goes for another stroll outside and finds a statue that Victor had commissioned of Sabrina holding a baby. "It's completely unnerving and a very strange thing to find on the middle of the grounds," points out Davidson. "But when Victor asks Ashley if it disturbs her, she says, 'No.' Ashley's super-sensitive about seeming like she's okay. She doesn't want to appear she's having a problem even when she is having a problem. She's afraid it's going to be misconstrued."

Ashley goes upstairs to get ready for her birthday evening with Victor and finds a dress, earrings and shoes laid out for her. "Ashley thinks Victor is just being sweet. She puts everything on and goes downstairs, but Victor freaks when he sees her. Ashley doesn't understand why. Victor asks her to please leave, so she goes upstairs. Later, she comes down and asks Estella and Adam what was up with the dress. What was wrong? She finds out she was wearing the same outfit Sabrina died in."

Victor suspects that Nikki set up Ashley and immediately confronts her about it. Meanwhile, Ashley heads back to her bedroom and makes an incredible discovery. "She finds a receipt saying she purchased all those things," gasps Davidson. "But she knows she didn't and figures it has to have been Estella. Of course, Ashley doesn't have any proof and so many things are happening. It's getting super creepy, and Ashley's getting a little panicky. She's starting to doubt her own sanity."

Perhaps Ashley should widen her list of suspects?

Ok...I don't get something...if Ashley helped Adam get put of jail and live in "house arrest" at the ranch...wow what a bad deal:rotfl::rotfl:...why is he putting her thru this?? What did she do to him to deserve this?

Ok so now the writers are stealing from classic literature? Rebecca anyone? :happytv:

On today's episode - when Michael is in the cell with Kevin talking and Kevin sees him as the stuffed squirrel (or whatever aninal it's supposed to be) - is that blood all over it's face - or just the coloring of it's fur?!?! I crack up every time they show that darned animal!!!

I'll agree the actors that play Michael & Kevin are AMAZING. They both deserve a Daytime Emmy. Kevin sure plays a great psycho. I remember when Michael was obsessed with Cricket (or was she offically Christine by then?) He dug his way through the wall into her apartment or something like that. I guess mental illness runs in the family...

it looks like blood.

i'm trying hard to figure out who it's gonna be when he pulls the head off - maybe his father but i'm guessing someone else.

just can't quite get it yet.

what do you guys think?

Am I the only one who is tired of Sharon's whining and crying and Nick always rushing to her rescue? Maybe it's just me, but she's been getting on my last nerve lately..

I absolutely LOVE Murphy with Katherine.. However, will he be able to adjust to her world?

Mac? Please!!! This actress looks like she's at least 45 years old - and I use the term "actress" lightly.. Not a good fit at all..

Anyone have any guesses as to who Jill's real mother is - and who Katherine's real daughter is?

i tune sharron out - have for ages now - everytime she comes on the screen i seem to have somewhere else to be that's not in the tv room - or i accidently hit the fast forward button ;)

no way he'll adapt to kay's world - what fun would that be - OR - since Jill can't seem to get her own man without sleeping him away from someone else - maybe she'll have an affair with him - eeewwweee i know.

I was thinking that Ashley will accuse her of it but it will turn out to be Adam.

I'm beginning to wonder if this is Adam as well. Could he be getting his sight back? And what better way for him to continue his vendetta against Victor, than to go after Ashley.
