Sharon is arrested for grand larceny, but a deal comes up to help her avoid jail time. The thing that she stole has something to do with Phyllis and has a very high value.

OK, I just watched today's episode, and I got to say I wanted to cry for the poor dog in Monday's preview. They should be ashamed of themselves. They give him something to bring in to a human, he does it and she screams and yells at him. Did you see him cower back? That was just horrid. An animal doesn't know that that is acting. Can you tell I have a lovable yellow lab of my own? I would die if someone treated him like that.

The jeweler doesn't want to press charges cause he got the ring back, but the police do because this is not the first time she's stolent things. She goes to jail.

I'm just reporting what is going on over there! Alot of people have a soft spot when it comes to dogs and babies! I just wish this weird set of stories (MJ, Adam, Ashley's dead baby, Sharon stealing, even P3 back from the dead) would end already!!! Give me more Billy (without Mac), Chloe, Chance, Nina, Jill, Kay, Murphy, Kevin, Michael, Lauren (where is she?).......

I agree with the majority. I will be very upset to see a dog die, just as I am about seeing a baby or small child die. Any 'innocents' for me are tear jerkers and I just don't want to see.

I'm not as affected by adults though. Sorry. Unless I really LOVE the character.

Fans of The Young and the Restless do not have to worry about their favorite show going off the air. The top-rated CBS soap was recently given a two-year renewal. The new contract does, however, come with some bad news: more budget cuts are presumably on the way.


Executives recently met with the cast and crew of The Young and the Restless to discuss the show's future. The town hall meeting was designed as a way for everyone involved to learn what lies ahead for the top-rated daytime drama series.


The Young and the Restless was recently given a two-year renewal by CBS, but with that renewal came a new sense of urgency for the show to cut its operating budget. It should come as no surprise to anyone that a soap has been asked to tighten its purse strings, but there has been a belief in some circles that The Young and the Restless was immune to the type of budget cuts that have hit other soaps.


However, Sony Pictures Television President, Steve Mosko, met with the cast and crew to explain that the show's new contract cuts the licensing fee. The reduced fee will result in reduced salaries and, perhaps, some job loss. In the wake of two highly publicized contract negotiations, show sources say that Mosko was hoping that his appearance would help prevent further uprising.


"Instinctively, I doubt it will make much of a difference," remarks Sara Bibel, in her Deep Soap blog on Fancast. "There is no way to make anyone in any industry feel good about making less money. But at least for a little while an executive made an effort to treat daytime staffers with respect."


The Young and the Restless isn't just giving lip-service and a pat on the back. The Japanese-based company has a lot riding on what goes on in Genoa City.


"Both Y&R and Days of Our Lives are important to Sony because the shows are very successful internationally," Bibel notes. "The license fees the studio receives from the networks pays for the production of the show. The studio then makes a considerable profit selling Y&R all over the world, from Australia to Israel."

•Jack is home now, but completely out of his senses. Mary Jane has found a way into the house, she comes downstairs wearing Sharon's robe and a towel she seduces Jack who believes she's Sharon. Later, Jack back in his senses reads the note left by Mary Jane along w/ the note is a cat's tail. Jack realizes who he slept with and calls Paul

Next - Victor tells Nikki that Paul is a good guy; Paul is w/ Jack who shows him the cat's tail, the woman is deranged Jack says; Nikki and Paul discuss their wedding
