I'll admit I was never much of a Sharon fan, she seemed so sticky sweet and boring to me. However, watching over the last few weeks since lying to Jack and watching today, did I miss something? Was she always such a ***** or have they changed her character?

You are in Canada, right? It is very different here! I don't actually "get" any paid maternity leave. I just timed this baby (on purpose) for the summer. I teach, and get paid all summer anyway. This is my longest maternity leave. With ds12, I went back when he was 3 wks 2 days old (he was born in July), and 6 wks with dd9. I think I would be allowed to take 9, but it would be without pay.

Dh's cousin made the blanket, and I love it! I was actually taking pics so I can send her one with the thank you card.

ohhh i didn't know you were a teacher.

yup i'm in canada - and here well at least in ontario we get 52 weeks at 55% and after 17 weeks you can work a few hours a week with no deductions. there is talk about changing it to 18 months so that the dads can take some more time off.

as it stands the our leave is divided into 2 parts 17 weeks that only the mom can take and 35 weeks that can be divided by mom and dad OR only 35 weeks for an adoptive child

also starting next year there is going to be a huge change in the schools and before/after school care being offered by the schools so the kids don't have to move from one location to another

And I don't want to know about Zapato getting killed by wacko MJ either. That is just to cruel-even by soap standards. I'd rather they kill off a human character. Just sayin'. This show is actually wearing on my last nerve and I do believe I am close to retiring from it after 30 years. Thanks writers. You've about freed up my day! Just let me see the Great Victor Newman get his just once. Then I am out of here!!
