You people who are planning your trips right now...

We've got our dates, resort, dining choices, and package settled, the only thing that's undetermined is the number of people. We know 2 of us will be there in Oct., whether the other 5 interested people actually pull the trigger is up in the air. We are making our ressies in a few weeks.

We are going in Sept. We have our flights made and paid for, and hotels reserved , will be ordering cert for free Hertz car rental and getting that rented next week (hubby has major priority club points thru Hol. Inn so we get room, car and Sea World tix free and free airline tix with his Northwest and American Express points) He needs a few more points to get our Seaworld tix (got enough for the 3 adult, just got to get more for the 2 kids) (DH is a business traveller so those frequent flyer type clubs really pay off for us...this is our 4th almost free trip he gets enought points for everything about every 2 years or so (including other side trips we take each year-we haven't paid for a hotel room in 7 years :teeth)...the only thing we can't get free this year is WDW park passes and one plane ticket ( he doesn't fly much anymore and doesn't stay at Marriots much anymore to earn enough points) but with what we do get free (air, car, room, SW tix) we are still saving a bundle. (of course we also blew a bundle of points for christmas this year, not planning to go to WDW yet at the time :rolleyes2 ) We're basically in slow countdown mode right now. I will make our PS for Chef Mickeys in May but other than that we're just playing the waiting game ..

I feel very lucky as this is the first year that we have purchased annual passes. We are going to Disney.....*drumroll* THREE TIMES!

Trip #1
March 23rd - 28th 2006
Yes I know, Spring Break! lol but the actual purpose of this trip is my 21st birthday :cloud9: on Mar 25th.
The best part? My parents are letting me plan it!!
So far:
I have reserved a standard room at the Beach Club at the AP rate
Booked all my ADRs
Mar 23rd Le Cellier DINNER
Mar 24th Alfredos DINNER
Mar 25th Chefs de France DINNER
Mar 26th 50s Primetime Cafe LUNCH
Mar 26th Rose and Crown DINNER
Mar 27th Chefs de France DINNER
Mar 28th Chefs de France LUNCH
(Can you tell we like Chefs de France?? lol)

My mom is organizing birthday things for me hehehe :goodvibes
I have requested a Tinkerbell Cake from the Boardwalk Bakery and I think that I might be getting an Illuminations Cruise as well :yay:

We've also booked flights, direct from Toronto to Orlando on Air Canada.

Trip #2
Tenatively August 27th - Sept 6th
Have not booked anything yet as there are no AP rates for this time yet
We want to stay at Coronado Springs.
This will be a pretty laid back trip, several visits to Typhoon Lagoon etc...

Trip #3
Tenatively October 12th - 17th
Food and Wine Festival!!!
We will be staying at Coronado Springs again :)

We are planning a trip to POR in December- 9th to 16th to be specific. Our family will be meeting up with my sister's family. I am so exicted. December is MUCH too far away. It seems like I've been planning forever. My husband just rolls his eyes when I talk Disney. This wil be the first trip for my kids and husband. My first trip was when I was 23.

I, too, live for planning my next Disney trip. Lucky for me, our next trip is just a couple weeks away! Airline, rooms and tickets all purchased (a while ago.) We only fly JetBlue, so I bought those tickets as soon as we decided to go Florida. I have not made dinner reservations yet. We've always gone during off-season, so we've never needed them. I'm starting to wonder, though, since there will be a cheerleading competition while we are there. Any suggestions from my fellow ameteur Disney Experts?

Going to be at BCV June 11-17. Driving down from GA on the 10th. ADR's are already made for dinner at Cape May, Crystal Palace, LeCellier, Whispering Canyon and Mama Melrose. (Fantasmic Pkg.) 1 ADR for breakfast at Kona. Can't decide on tickets. We've never done a water park or DQ but can't decide if premium 7 day tickets will be too much.

Very excited and can hardly wait! We've only been in off season (Sept & early Dec.) but we know June will be different!!

For June trip have scheduled vacation from work. Made 4 ADRs. Know we will stay at Pop again because we love it and can't spend extra money this trip. We will book by end of February with AAA. Have figured out price and discount for AAA. Have bonus coming in next 1-2 months to pay for trip.
Buying kids seaworld tickets for Easter because I promised oldest DD we would go next trip. Both girls are also getting luggage for Easter for our trip.
I have the park hours/EMHs and have planned everydays itinerary basically. I have counter service down but not necessarily exact one maybe down to 2-3. All sitdowns are planned now. We will be on dining plan. We will drive 18 hrs from PA to disney. We did that last year so that's a no brainer. I guess basically I'm pretty far along. :woohoo:

We leave next Tuesday night for our trip. Everything is done except for the packing! :earseek: I actually have about 30-40% packed but I still have a lot left to do. :)

Hello All!

We FINALLY received our planning DVD today (ordered on Christmas day). So far I have our 8 night, 7.5 day package at POFQ with dining booked through AAA for June 8-15. My wife claims my tail and ears are coming in since I am obsessed with reading ANYTHING and EVERYTHING Disney. I am agonizing over an intinerary and deciding on ADR's, but hey, planning is half the fun! Unfortunately, it is making the next 4-1/2 months til our trip seem like an eternity.

Thanks for all the the advice I've gleened from here in the past few weeks!

Just wanted to say I love this thread. My DH thinks I am crazy to be planning my October trip.I should make him read this thread. :teeth:

For alot of us planning is almost as much fun as going (ALMOST). I think it is great to read alot about where I am going including all the advice on these threads. Of course since DH and I are leaving in 15 days and I AM a planner, everything is all done. ADRs, daily plans, all that done last November and December but I still read on and adjust as I see fit! :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc

Hehe! I feel lucky! :P Anyways we've planned to stay from Feb. 23-March 2nd

And we'll be staying offsite. :( But anyways we've also planned to go to MGM and AK the first two days, then do epcot third and MK last. (The best for last!) Then the last day we want to just park hop around and do all the things we miss. I hope it will be a successful trip and I REALLY can't wait! :D

We have our airline tix purchased so we have our dates set. I made hotel reservations but I am not 100% that is what we are going to stick to. We have not purchased our park tix yet.
We are going for almost 3 weeks and planning on doing a week at Vero Beach in the middle of the trip. I have rented a car during that week.
We have not made any dining plans yet. We have found in our past trips that the over scheduling of dining ended up stressing us out more than it was worth. I will make a few reservations for some select meals we know we have to do, and the rest we play by ear. I LOVE to plan but I have found that when I plan too much structure into our trip we don't have nearly as much fun as when we have more freedom and flexibility to do what we feel like doing. That being said I always make sure we plan around the "must dos" and the rest we relax and enjoy ourselves more.

For our short "make up" trip in March I havn't planned much. Our last trip was cut short due to my illness by 4 days so we are going back to make up for it. I have booked our room ASMo and have 1 ADR. 1900 Park Fare for Breakfast. Since we are going to be there such a short time I'm not planning much. This is my rough itenerary:

Day 1: arrive, check out ASMo, if we get there earlier enough MK first for HM, POTC, BTMRR, Buzz, and a few classics, lunch at Pecos BIlls, and to first pay tribue to *my* castle! I don't feel like i'm there until i see it. Then we head to MGM for a few rides, dinner at Mama Melrose' and Fantasmic!
Day 2: rope drope at AK in hopes of getting on EE a few times, then dinosaur, KSi, and maybe the trails. AK is our least fav (but we still like it), so we won't be spending much time there this trip. Then Epcot for MS, Soarin, TT, and WS. Illuminations that night.
Day 3: Breakfast at GF, MK for the day, break, Epcot then that night back at MK for Wishes
Day 4: Epcot, MK for the parade, and then back to Epcot (our fav).
Day 5: Maybe a quick stop by whatever park is having EMH morning (hopefully AK for EE) and then on the way home. :sad2:

This is our shortest trip ever and I want to do everything, but I know that we will be back in (gulp) 7 months for at least 10 days so I am trying to narrow it down to our absoloute favorites for this trip. Its tough cause i love everything!

Going May 13th - May 19th. Staying at BCV on the 13th for one night, then switching over to OKW for the rest of our stay. Haven't made ADR's yet :sad2: . Still waiting on the family to get together to decide :rolleyes1 . Also still deciding whether to drive or to fly this time. :confused3

We have air and room booked at the CR for Columbus day weekend next October. Right before the 180 window I'll email concierge with our ADR requests. I know we're eating at California Grill the first night, and going to MNSSHP that Sunday night, but haven't decided on anything else yet. I'm already starting to think about a trip for the summer of '07 :rolleyes1

We are going in December. I have my rooms reserved, and I bought my park tickets at the 2005 rate. We have saved AmEx points for the airfare. So, we just need to come up with money for the room and food. I am not doing the dining plan.
