You know what I want? A lime green Beetle!

You know, I've seen SO MANY of those green Volkswagen Beetles driving around Orlando in the last two days...*I* want one!! I think I'm gonna make that my goal car, when I can afford a new car one day waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay down the road.

Siiiiighhhh....guess I'm gonna have to stick with my $300 (literally!) scary blue Grand Am with no a/c, windows won't roll all the way down, leaks when it rains, 150,000 plus miles, etc. etc. etc. Dangit! Why can't cars be less expensive?!?!

Oh, it IS awful...especially the not having a/c here in Florida. Oh well....it's gonna be at least 2-3 years before I can get a new(er) car

Just yesterday DH and I were walking through the Target parking lot, and I pointed out and kept talking about a lime green Beetle. I told him that that is the only kind of car I'd ever want in lime green because it's the only one that I think looks really good in that color. It took him a few seconds to figure out why I kept talking about lime green cars since lime green is not my favorite color, but finally he remembered the DIS connection

I just purchased a used 2001 black beetle for my DD16 b'day. It has 31k miles on it. We love it! Maybe you could look for a used one... for about 1/2 price?

(shaking head) Honestly can not afford it, especially with court coming up for Maddy. That's what makes me soooo angry....my ex just went out and bought a brand new Ford Explorer and he's claiming poverty. I can not honestly afford to buy a car (even used), and my credit (his, too!) is HORRIBLE. That's why I'm envious that he has a nice car....I surely do not.

I'd complain less about my car if the windows would at least roll down...or maybe if the vents worked so when it rained, I could let fresh air in...or if it didn't flood inside of the car WHEN it rained. One day I'll get a decent car!

Do you have any "tech" schools near you that might be able to look at it and fix it for a really low price (or maybe free)?

I don't know if it's possible...but it might be worth looking into.
