You just lost 80 pounds! What are you Going to do next? Ending TR

Just wanted to post here how sorry I am for your loss and sending healing thoughts and hugs.

Thank you everyone. :grouphug:

I can't thank you all enough for your kind words, thoughts and prayers.

I'm actually handling things pretty well. I've even asked a couple of friends if I'm normal since I'm handling things too well. :confused3

I've come to realize my faith in Christ has forever changed the way I see death. I don't fear it, and I don't look at it as something horrible any more.
My mom isn't in pain any more and she's able to move her body again like she's did when she was young. :)
My mom's faith in what Christ did for her on the cross has me rejoicing for her instead of mourning for her.
My mom lived a very hard life in many ways, I'm just glad her eternity is being lived out in joy now. ::yes::

Again, thank you all so much, my love to each and every one of my beautiful Dis brothers and sisters. :flower3:
I'll try and be here to do an update soon, no promises when that will be, still dealing with some things concerning my mom.

Be blessed as you are such a blessing.

So beautifully said Camille!

Camille, your words brought tears to my eyes. As you said, your beliefs are strong and they are what will get you through this time. I am sure that you are at peace knowing that your mother is dancing and rejoicing even as we speak.

For the trip updates, I am all caught up and enjoyed the BOG review. I see you on FB all the time so I know life has your plate full at present. Still praying for you guys!

So beautifully said Camille!

Yes, perfect. I read it to my husband and it blessed him too.

Thank you ladies. :) Y'all are too kind.

 Sorry guys, I wasn't trying to make anyone cry. Just expressing what was on my heart.
And Yes, Lisa, I couldn't agree more, I think she's up there with the Lord leaping and dancing before Him, she always was a person to live to the hilt.

very sorry for your loss:grouphug:

Thank you, Dan. :)

Thank you, G.B. You are a good brother. I just wish I had known you were going to be in Austin, even if it was for a quick hello and a hug I would have met you downtown this week. :) Let me know if you are in town for a convention again.

So how about a TR update?

It's about time I get back with the land of the living. Between this winter being a lot more like winter than it usually is in south central Texas, and my mom passing, things have been a little on the dreary side for me of late.
While I'm not exactly crying everyday, I have been a bit withdrawn (trying to process what had happened over the last few weeks) and that needs to change. :)

I think a great way to start that would be for me to recall a really good day and tell you about the end of our first park day. I mean it is about time, right? On a few different levels, wouldn't you say?  And after all, I did promise you a dead celebrity sighting.

Okay, where were we when we last left off....We were finishing up our lunch at BOG, probably the best Disney experience I've had while having a lunch at a CS.
Hands down this is the place to go to for CS.
You can't beat the service. I mean really, where else do you get to eat in such a beautiful setting, on real plates, and with real silverware, at a CS?!?
DW really hit it out of the park on this one, and by the way Disney, you really did a great job of coming up with CS by day and TS by night, I'm hoping to see more of this in future restaurants. ::yes::

As we were about to leave BOG we decided a few pictures were worth taking. We went into "The West Wing" because Mackenzie wanted to have a picture with the rose as I already posted....

Had to get this one...

Once we were done in there we had to get this one on the way out, I had been anxiously awaiting this one for a while now. I think someone didn't get the memo on posing. :rotfl:
Aaaand another reason I don't like having others take our picture. :scared: :rotfl: Not that mine are that much better!! :rotfl:
Oh well, at least they were nice enough to offer. :goodvibes

The work on this is absolutely stunning. :artist:

As I recall Mackie and I needed to get our ride on and this was the time to do it. The day was getting on with it's self and even though we had done our big thrill rides first, we were ready to get down to business. "Let's get down to business..."

First up was....adjusting my shoes. These suckers had been giving me some issues and it was finally getting to be an nuisance. I had never bought Chaco's before, heard they were amazing and that I would never want anything else after wearing them....WRONG!!
As comfy as they started out being I was actually walking a lot slower in them due to the way the forced me back on my heals more than pushing me forward like you would have with a bit a of a heal in the shoe. Which mind you I was very use to with my other flip flops and running shoes.
I figured I'll get use to them and it won't be an issue. :rolleyes2
Even Mackie was commenting about how slow I was moving. If she's saying something it's pretty bad. And to be honest that wasn't the worst part, slow I could handle, it was the choking of one of my toes that I couldn't handle.
I have weird feet, I'm told very normal feet by the people who help assist me in trying on shoes, but I have a high enough instep on one foot that it causes this particular shoe to choke out the toe on one foot over the other. :sad2: <heavy sigh> I know, I'm even boring myself.
Incase you think I'm totally nuts referring to a shoe choking my toe, Chaco's are adjustable. You pull on the straps to get it to fit your foot in an almost custom way, very cool concept UNLESS you are me. :upsidedow

I adjusted hoping it would be the last and moved on. We had some rides to get to! :tink: pirate:

Picking up in another post since I've hit my limit for pictures on this one....

Continued in the next post.

IKWYM about shoes - so frustrating - believe me, it doesn't get any easier with age. I'm glad you enjoyed your BOG lunch so much- hurry back!

Aww Camille, so glad to see you posting. My thoughts are still with you in the tough time, and it makes me smile to see you've still got that great sense of humour.

I was and still am astounded at how Disney was able to create such a wonderful QS restaurant in the day and TS at night. I haven't done the at night yet, but it still blows me away.

Shoes are very important and when you have the wrong ones it just ruins it. At least for me it does.

continued from last post.....

As we made our way out of BOG we had a lovely walk from the NFL over to old Fantasy Land and had to time to get to our first ride on FP's, I think.

The first ride we were anxious to hit....

If I remember right we also had free FP's to....

My daughter would kill me for putting this picture of her on here. :scared: :upsidedow

I so love this attraction. What's not to love about seeing all your favorite musical scenes in your favorite movies. Two of my all time favorites...

http://youtu.be/BV77nWMQgJI

When I see this Aladdin video I always get goose bumps and sigh the happiest sigh, makes me incredibly happy. This video is exactly why people fall in love with Disney. Yes, yes I know I'm a sap. :goodvibes

http://youtu.be/88pKnQ5yXpk

A little time for being silly in the gift shop just outside Philharmagic...

My girlie loves the steampunk look. If I hadn't watched a show on all kinds of couples getting married, from of all walks of life, I wouldn't have a clue as to what in the world steampunk even is. :upsidedow

I remember thinking Ms. Kat would appreciate this picture so I post it to FB just for her. :)

We started to make our way to Old Frontierland to make our way through to Pirates and ended up stopping for a bio break here...

Continued in the next post.....

continued from the last post....

I don't know about you but this bathroom area makes me so happy. I know, I know it's just a bathroom, but a bathroom only Disney can do. I'm telling you, they have outdone themselves on the new area's they've built.

We explored a bit but not by much since we had places to get to. :goodvibes

We finally finished up over in the Tangled bathroom area and started making our way over to Frontierland then cut through the breeze way and walk to here....

We took a few photos outside the ride and then started to queue up to the line and I kid you not, we ran into.....

"ELVIS! ELVIS! Let me be! Keep that...."

I'm tellin you fellow Dis'ers, I couldn't help myself, I just stood there with my jaw dropped for about a minute before I had Mackie line up to where it looked like I was taking a picture of her in order to get one of him. In the first picture you can make out part of Mackie's arm. :rotfl2:

Mackie was cracking up about this whole thing but she also wanted to get to her favorite Pirate (Kat-you and Mackie will get along swimmingly), so as we were walking up to walk through the doors of Pirates, I walked up to the CM that was standing there and said to her..."Look, he does live!" and showed her the picture of Elvis.
She laughed out loud and told me that I got a great shot of him. She said he's here all the time. It was later confirmed when I showed these pictures to some friends of mine who use to live there and frequented Disney. When they stumbled across these pictures they started laughing and saying how this guy is indeed there all the time, they'd see him in the parks quite a bit over the time they spent at Disney themselves.

We had our ride through the seas, found our favorite Pirate and now it was time to find our way over to the other side of the park, it was getting close to 5 p.m. and we wanted to be sure we were close to the Plaza for our 6:20 check in and our second Dis meet of the trip. :goodvibes
A meet I'm afraid we didn't get one single picture of. :sad2: Don't ask me why I didn't, the only thing I can come up with is the fact that we were so excited to see and meet one another that we just totally forgot to take pics.

We met our lovely dinner companions Dawn and Meadow out front, exchanged gifts and then checked in and waited our turn.
We had a some what unmemorable meal, but we had a gorgeous view right at the front in that little cove, couldn't have asked for a better spot, even caught part of a parade if I remember right. We both enjoyed one another's company and had to part ways when we were done with our meal. I was so glad to finally meet Dawn and little Meadow. They were so kind to have given us t-shirts with a gorgeous Mickey head on it made of crystals, she said she bought the crystal Mickey heads on Etsy, one of Mackie's and my all time favorite places to browse. ::yes::

I don't have a picture of just the t-shirt, but I'm wearing it later on in the trip, so you'll get to see it eventually. :woohoo:

This was a long day, we were so happy to be in Disney, we ventured around the park that evening going on as many rides and attractions as we could fit in before we had to head back to our room.....

We came, we saw and we wanted out of the park before the crowds were impossible. :rotfl: So we made our way out of there and back to the resort. We had an early morning and we had another meet in the morning before sending our things off to another resort. :yay: Yes, that's right folks we had our Maroo meet first thing in the morning and we had to arrange to have our luggage sent over to our next resort!! We also had a very full day of Epcot, a very hot Italian (and not the Rosie kind :sad2: a real one) to meet and an incredible day to be had.

Thank you for reading along and thank you for putting up with all my long period's between posts. I'll try and get back here to do a post more often, that or more of these marathon type posts.

Be blessed.

Nice mega updates.

Boo on the Chacos. I have a pair, but they are flip flops. They have a nice high arch, which is why I like them. Too many straps would not be good for me either.

Adorable pictures of Mackie.

Very cool that you got to meet Dawn and Meadow. I miss her on the DIS boards. Meadow really is precious.

LOL - That DOES look like Elvis. :rotfl2: Do you think he does that on purpose or actually has no idea. :confused3 It's hard to tell. I guess he must know.

BOG really is just gorgeous inside. I so enjoy seeing everyone's pictures.

Yay for lots of updates! I have a dinner ADR for Be Our Guest and I'm getting super excited about seeing the inside of the restaurant. Your pictures have me even more excited.

I've had a few Dis meets that resulted in no pictures. Like you said, I think that I get too excited to be meeting "friends" that I forget to take pictures.

Oh my goodness! It's Elvis! (and now I'm singing that song from Grease :rotfl2:)

**Edited: I forgot to talk about the shoes. I have super high arches and having just the right shoe is a must for me. I feel your pain!

IKWYM about shoes - so frustrating - believe me, it doesn't get any easier with age. I'm glad you enjoyed your BOG lunch so much- hurry back!

Shoes were actually more of an issue when I was bigger, thank God. I really thought I'd have more issues with wearing my normal everyday flip flops in the parks since I did last time, but in the end those actually ended up being the most comfortable shoes to wear while there. :thumbsup2

Aww Camille, so glad to see you posting. My thoughts are still with you in the tough time, and it makes me smile to see you've still got that great sense of humour.

Thank you, Rob. I'm getting there. :)

I was and still am astounded at how Disney was able to create such a wonderful QS restaurant in the day and TS at night. I haven't done the at night yet, but it still blows me away.

The team they have doing refurbs and the new additions to the parks are outstanding!! They have truly outdone themselves!! I have to hand it to those who do all the sculpting and make everything looks so amazing, from rocks to wood they blow me away!! And imagine, those things will be there for many years to come, they can come back for years and say I made that, my dad, granddad built that. :lovestruc
How cool would that be?!?

Shoes are very important and when you have the wrong ones it just ruins it. At least for me it does.

I will tell you Scott, I use to think that way, and as the weight comes off you'll see that changes. Your shoes won't be the make or break of a trip any more. :goodvibes Well, unless you are being foolish and wearing something stupid that shouldn't be walked around in for long periods of time.
But yes, I know exactly what you mean.

Nice mega updates.

:goodvibes I figured it was the least I could do since I hadn't been around much over the last few months.

Boo on the Chacos. I have a pair, but they are flip flops. They have a nice high arch, which is why I like them. Too many straps would not be good for me either.

I know, right?!? I was so looking forward to the shoes being a great asset on the trip. No such luck. Oh well, I'll probably buy a new pair eventually, just not with straps that will choke out my toe. I have very high arches also so I really wanted something to help with the fatigue that can happen with a lot of walking.

Adorable pictures of Mackie.

:goodvibes Thank you, you are too kind, they stunk, but at least we have proof we were there.

Very cool that you got to meet Dawn and Meadow. I miss her on the DIS boards. Meadow really is precious.

I know, I miss her too. And I was so glad to finally have met the two of them. Such sweet ladies.

LOL - That DOES look like Elvis. :rotfl2: Do you think he does that on purpose or actually has no idea. :confused3 It's hard to tell. I guess he must know.

Oh no, this guy knows what he's doing. How could he not?!? I think it takes a lot of guts to walk around like that, you can say one thing about him....he's one heck of a fan. I'm pretty sure that's his wife in the wheel chair, they were there with their grandkids, so cute. I think they were picking out a Pirates League package for the grandbabies.

BOG really is just gorgeous inside. I so enjoy seeing everyone's pictures.

I can't wait to see what kind of pictures you get from there. Be sure to get your FP to eat there for next time and take lots of pics. :goodvibes

Yay for lots of updates! I have a dinner ADR for Be Our Guest and I'm getting super excited about seeing the inside of the restaurant. Your pictures have me even more excited.

Yes, I figured with how much I had been missing for the last few months and with all the short, picture heavy updates y'all deserved a bit bigger update this time. :goodvibes

I'm excited for you!! You will love the inside of BOG. I hope you enjoy dinner there. The atmosphere alone is worth going in there for.

I've had a few Dis meets that resulted in no pictures. Like you said, I think that I get too excited to be meeting "friends" that I forget to take pictures.

I know! It's so strange meeting people you've talked with for such a long time, but also beyond exciting!! :)

Oh my goodness! It's Elvis! (and now I'm singing that song from Grease :rotfl2:)

  Oops.

**Edited: I forgot to talk about the shoes. I have super high arches and having just the right shoe is a must for me. I feel your pain!

I do as well, that's why I was so looking forward to the Chacos, they are fabulous for high arches, I just need to find the right pair that don't have strap issues. :)
