You Just Got Married at WDW - What're You Gonna Do Next? LIVE Blog from WDW (p.24)!

I'm glad you are calmed down now.
I can't wait to read your next TR! I will be waiting...................patiently!

I've lurked through your last 2 trippies, so I'm joining in early now! Actually...I happened upon both of them late and had to back track a lot! You really do know what you're talking about! That last picture of Thunder Mountain is awesome!!

It's so close!!! Four more days!!!

:rotfl2: I can't tell you how good that makes me feel! So glad you've come along for the ride!

So, in a pathetic attempt to recapture the magic inspired by our bride and groom wedding ears from the honeymoon (and by "magic" I mean "free desserts"), I commissioned DH to create these over-the-top anniversary ears....

We'll see if my ploy works.... ;)

Hey Carrie! Glad I found this before you leave. So happy that you are headed back toWDW!! Too bad you can't stop off in TN!! Have a great time and happy early anniversary !!!! Cute hats Patrick.:teeth:

Fantastic dessert magnets!! I hope they work!

When flying over Georgia, look down. I will be waving at you. I hope that you have a great trip and I can't wait to hear about it.

Great hats!!! Are you going to wear anniversary buttons, or are you going to go with the hats and let people assume it's your anniversary instead of honeymoon again? :rotfl: We wore the buttons for our 1st anniversary in June and only got a couple of free desserts. Tons of people said happy anniversary though. That was great!

May I make a suggestion that your hat have some color, instead of being so modest and subdued............

:rotfl2:

At the very least, I'm hoping to stun some CMs into giving us free desserts...

I can't wait to hear about this trip!!

Me too! :cutie:

I'll pass the message along to Patrick. Thanks for the anniversary wishes! :goodvibes

Me too! :hyper:

I'm along 4 the ride also. Have a great anniversary trip!!!

Thank you!! :)

I will! (They have ginormous dotted lines to mark the state borders so you can see them from the plane, right? :lmao: )

OOh...thanks for the tip... maybe we'll go with the hats AND the buttons just to increase our chances. They really should make a bigger fuss over anniversary couples than wedding couples b/c we're the ones who did the work to make it stick! :rotfl:

Now if you've been reading along, I know what you're thinking... You're thinking, "OK, Lurkyloo, I guess you could call this a pre-trip report - you've got the resort details and the ADRs.... but what about the shoes, woman - the SHOES?!!!"

The first thing I learned on the DIS is that the shoes you wear at WDW are of paramount importance if you don't want to be miserable for your entire trip. (Also, BodyGlide works wonders and Crocs are the Holy Grail.... dunno if I've bought into that last one yet...) And the consensus seems to be that you need to trade off pairs you wear every day.

Well, all the shoes I bought at the beginning of this pre-trip report (back when it was for September) had to be returned cuz they just didn't fit right! (Except the Merrill slides - those are fabulous, but I'm afraid to let them get rained on....). And on our last trip all I wore were my trusty Eccos and some ancient Teva water shoes that the Velcro doesn't work so hot on anymore.

So yesterday I broke another cardinal DIS rule and bought new shoes three days before we leave for our trip. But I have high hopes.

Warning: they are ugly. And they are Crocs. AND they cost 70 frickin' dollars!!! :scared1:

I don't even like to pay $40 for Crocs, since you can get so many great deals on Shoebuy.com, Shoes.com, etc. But I was out of time, and they were light and had cushiony padding on the inside of the straps. I'm still on the fence about keeping them cuz they seem a little too short (Men's 8 should translate to my Women's 10, but.... :confused3), but I cannot spend 10 days hoofin' it around Disney in the same pair of shoes and still call myself a DISer! Right.....?

:rotfl:

So I thought I forgot to post this when I got it, but DISer SandraVB79 sent me a postcard from REAL Morocco when she went there on a last-minute mini-break a few weeks ago. Oh, to live in Europe and be able to take last-minute mini-breaks to places like MOROCCO!

You're welcome.

Oh, to live in the US and be able to take mini-breaks to DL, WDW, San Francisco, Cape Cod, ...
;)

So close! Did you get your SR Disney cards yet??

Oh my.. those are rather.. unattractive but hey! I can guarantee that you will have incredibly comfy feet and that is all that matters in the end! ::yes:: Plus, no one will be looking at your feet- they'll be too taken with your fabulous Anniversary Ears! :cool1:

Hmm.... you have a point there... but I'm still jealous! :cutie:

No.... :sad2: But thanks for asking! Tonight's my last chance to check the mail. I'm actually thinking about asking our neighbor to send them to us at WDW just cuz the money would help so much....

You're right! In fact, I should prolly dump out my heavy suitcase and just bring a potato sack to wear cuz everyone will be blinded by the sequins on my mouse ear hat anyway.... :rotfl:

I am a nurse so I get it. comfy shoes=:cloud9:=happy feet=happy girl.
Hope those shoes are as comfy as they look.

Carrie........you gotta help me out with that sunshine rewards thing. I signed up but every time I tried to do something to get points I never qualified. Am I doing something wrong or amy I just stupid.:badpc:

Oh yeah & it's almost time for you to go soooooooooooo    let's dance.

:rotfl: Thanks for the dance party!!!

SR is tricky - especially the surveys. It seems like there are so many ladies on SR that it can be really hard to qualify for a survey if you're also a lady. Some have their husbands take the surveys so they have a better chance of getting one. :cutie:

I also have trouble sometimes getting credited for doing the sign-up offers (like the ones where you have to say no to about 36 bazillion offers of spam before you get to the end), but shopping through SR has always credited for me. So now, whenever I need something online, the first thing I do is check to see if I can buy it from one of the SR partners. :thumbsup2

I probably won't be updating as often as I did on our Free Dining trip because the strain that puts on my ability to engage with DH might doom our next anniversary trip :rotfl2: But I'll try to update at least once a day!
