You Just Got Married at WDW - What're You Gonna Do Next? LIVE Blog from WDW (p.24)!

Congrats on buying airfare:cool1: I feel the same as you but since I purchased mine, the price has gone up $40 for the flight that I booked on Delta while the earlier Airtran flight went down $20.:scared1: You can't count on anything these days so I count myself blessed just to have a day flight.

What can be uncomfortable is if someone does flake and the others that show up wonder if they should kick in extra to cover the loss of the person that booked the cruise. I would totally go- it sounds awesome!!!

Yeah, that's the part I'm worried about, but I have faith in the members of the DIS! :goodvibes

I just booked BCV for May with rented points- tell me I will love it!!!!

You will LOVE it! A short list of benefits: Walk to Epcot! Stormalong Bay!Walk/boat to the BoardWalk for dinner! Easy access to the No Way Jose sundae at Beaches and Cream! Boat to DHS! Potential view of MK fireworks! Hang out in the beautiful common areas, like the Solarium! Sigh... now I wish we were staying there on this trip... :cutie:

I also heard that the weather really affects if this is worth it or not; if the wind is blowing the wrong way, you could really be eating alot of smoke.

:scared: Although I don't see how it could be any worse than the smoke at our Lower UK dessert party in February.... Ah well, it's only money! :rotfl:

I feel your pain. Our flights were also over $300 dollars which is the most we have ever paid to go to MCO. However, our flight date prices keep going up & up so we made the right decision to purchase when we did. Hopefully, you made the right decision too. Have you figured out your dash to DL yet? I really hope you make it this time!

Congrats on the flights! Even if you had to pay more than you wanted to, at least you can revel in others' misery as you watch the prices rise! :teeth:

I think what we're gonna do for the Dash to Disneyland is get a private van. I found a recommendation on Yelp.com for Zippy Shuttle, who will send the driver in to meet you at the baggage claim and then whisk you out of the airport. When I asked for a quote, I stressed that we were interested in the whisking part. :rotfl2:

Yay for buying airfare!!!!!!

   It's such a huge weight off the shoulders, know what I mean?

Yeah, I think you made a good choice! And now you're done! (No peeking at those airfares anymore, Missy! :lmao:)

OK, I booked our rental car - whew! Thanks to Mousesavers.com I got $25 off plus the Annual Passholder Discount (only 10%, but it helps!). I just wish Sunshine Rewards could add Alamo as a shopping site....

I paid off the rest of our Free Dining @ Pop package, but I will call when my latest Sunshine Rewards Disney gift card comes and apply that so I can get a refund on my credit card.

Then I tried to make an ADR for Raglan Road the night we get in, but it was booked. $@%#& Free Dining! I shoulda made one back in the day even though I didn't know when we'd arrive, but I foolishly thought Downtown Disney restaurants wouldn't be as hard to get as other WDW places. I forgot about Free Dining....

So now we have a ressie at Fulton's cuz it's the only other sit-down restaurant we're interested in at DD, but we had such a mediocre, overpriced meal there last September I'm not that thrilled. Maybe I'll check out the Dining Board and see if anyone gives up a Raglan Road ADR on that day. Or maybe we'll skip dinner and go straight to Ghirardelli! :teeth:

Also - has anybody seen TripIt.com? You forward them your flight, car and hotel confirmation emails and they automaticaly compile them into an online trip itinerary for you! They don't do Disney hotels though, so I had to enter that by hand.

I love the idea of it, and my little itinerary, but then I realized it kinda duplicates what PassPorter does, without the Disney info. And I love my PassPorter... so, we'll see how it ultimately fits in with my trip....

Woo hoo! Yeah for booking flights!!

The illuminations cruise really sounds wonderful! I know the person who originally books the cruise has to pay upfront, but do you as a share-er have to pat the DIS person up front? I think that would lessen the chance of flakes! We really want to do it when we go next year!

Sorry about Raglan Road!! Hope something opens up for you!

So far the lady who booked it hasn't asked for any money, but I'd happily pay if it meant we were confirmed. :)

And guess what? I got Raglan Road!

I dunno why it became such a big deal to me, it's not like we're talking about CRT or LeCellier. :lmao: But I had my heart set on it, and some helpful people on the DIS Dining Board clued me in to the fact that RR can be reserved on Open Table.com!

So even though the WDW-DINE operators are not allowed to book any ADRs at RR that night (it's not that they're full - they just won't make them), I got one through OpenTable. Hooray!

ALSO: I added the RR ressie to my TripIt itinerary within seconds by forwarding my Open Table confirmation, and now I'm adding point-to-point maps for various parts of my trip: airport to Pop/airport to Downtown Disney, Pop to Poly, etc.

WOWZA, I'm really starting to like TripIt!

OK, because I am cracked on this plan to ride both Haunted Mansions in one day, I decided to book us private van transport from LAX to Disneyland. It's hard to bring myelf to pay for a trip we could make in our own car, but I know it will save us 45 minutes to an hour getting out of the airport and on the road to Disneyland, which closes 3 hours after we land and is 1 hour from the airport! Plus, we'll save $$ on parking the car at LAX while we're at WDW...

So.... one more plan made. Sorry I don't have much in the way of WDW plans to report. At some point I'll sit down with TourGuide Mike and figure out our park touring schedule.... :thumbsup2

Congrats on the Raglan Road reservation. I'm eating there for the first time later this month too!

I was just looking at your signature section and realized you don't have a link to your pre-trip report. You should add one. That is how you become popular! ;)

I've never been popular in my life - why should I start now? :rotfl2:

I set my signature up for the Wedding & Honeymoons Board and I really like how all the info fits neatly below the pictures. I'm all about symmetry! :cutie: IF I can fit another line in there with the current siggie restrictions I'll do it...

Yay! I am glad I just stumbled across this thread. Your thread about your WDW Wedding was one of the best reports I have read. I am excited to start catching up! :surfweb:

Oh I hope not - I'm trying to avoid the Tag Fairy! :lmao:

I'm so glad you enjoyed it! I just found your pre-trip report today - I'd better do the same...

Official Link Watch '08 Update: The link to this pre-trippie didn't really show up in my signature, so I made it a design :upsidedow If you click on the pink scallops, it'll take you back here! :teleport:

Well I just happened to click on the pink scallops from a dining board post and....ta-da! I found a PTR!

And again I stress, if you like free stuff, utilize opentable.com. Not just for DD restaurants, but your local ones too. Eating out to earn free points to eat out even more is one of man's greatest inventions. Or woman's...well for this woman.

 Hooray! My Evil Plan (tm) worked! You found my pre-trippie!

Thanks again for the tip on OpenTable. I remember trying to use it when it first debuted years ago and not finding any good restaurants in my area. But it seems to be a great resource now, so I'll definitely check it before I make future plans.

...Because who doesn't like free stuff? ;)

In other dining news, I was able to push back our Tony's Town Square ressie to 7pm so that we can :magnify: at MNSSHP after we eat... as the burly security guards are hustling us and other ticketless diners out of the MK... :cutie:

I wonder how that is going to go down exactly?? do they literally walk you out of the park?? things that make you go hmmm???

Well, you have to have a wristband on to get candy and go on rides and stuff, so I think we wouldn't get very far if we did try anything unscrupulous... pirate:

Wow!! You've gotten so much stuff done since I was here last. I like the van idea for the HM plan.

Well, I think that flurry of activity got so many of my ducks in a row, I'll have nothing interesting to report after this! :rotfl:

Oh, I can update and say that the day after I paid off the balance on our Pop package, I got an email invoice from Disney saying I owed them 10 cents! :headache: I guess the agent screwed up when she typed in the charge amount, or something, so I had to charge 10 friggin' cents to my credit card (how many Disney Dollars is that? Like .001?)

But when you factor in the fees companies pay to process credit card transactions, I figure it hurt Disney waaaay more than it hurt me! :lmao:

Hey lurkyloo, I just got my MNSSHP tickets in the mail today. :cool1:

I can't believe they charged you 10 cents, there must be something wrong with their system if they can't catch a mistake like that. You would think that if it was less than $1 they would just let it go.

Yeah, talk about nickel and dime-ing you.... :rotfl2:

How exciting to have your tickets in hand! What day are you going?

Hey thanks for the tip about Open Table. I just used it to make reservations for our anniversary on the 20th.
