I'm not having any problems..been in and out all afternoon..but maybe I tried at the "up" times.

They do have the following in their announcements:

***eBay Site Issues***
Date: 01/06/04 Time: 03:24:34 PM PST

eBay is aware that some members are experiencing issues using the site. We are working to resolve the issue, and we appreciate your patience.

Regards,
eBay

I just went to My Ebay, and went to look at the 28 items I have for sale, and it says I have no items up for sale. I know for a fact I do.

Anyone know if Ebay is having problems?

I was finally able to get in and bid, but everything in 'My Ebay' is wrong or missing.

The poor people who have auctions ending now!

How long do you all leave your pictures up in your closed listings? I hate scrolling through the old pics trying to find the new ones to create listings so I delete them asap, but I'm wondering if I should leave them up a while in case there's a question about a listing later. What do you do?

Thanks to everyone for your input on the feedback question I had. Both answers are logical which is why I was having a hard time deciding what to do. However I've decided (at least for now) to leave the feedback as soon as I receive the money. I know I could end up regretting this decision :( but regardless if they end up being happy with the item or not if they paid timely I would still leave positive feedback so I'll just take care of it right away I think.

And that is fine, however, they are more likely to work out any problems with you, if feedback is still pending. If you have already left feedback, and they have a problem, they have you "over a barrel" so to speak, i f you don't fix it like they want..even if you don't see a problem...since they will get the last word on your auction.

But as I said earlier..this has been discussed since the begining of eBay...and it's really up to each person.

Nope - you're not all crazy.. Ebay is having problems again.. Loads of complaints in the various discussion areas.. Most peeved were the people who had auctions ending today or tonight..

I got into my eBay page and for now anyhow, the auctions I already had running are still there.. Had to refresh the page 3 times though because I was initially getting the "no page to display" message.. Haven't retried getting into the main page yet..

I've got auctions all set to go up but I'm reluctant to launch them with this glitch going on.. Last time they had one of these problems - when I was listing a bunch of stuff - the clock started ticking on my auctions right away - even though no one could see them and they didn't even show up on my eBay page until several hours later.. That in turn resulted in those auctions not getting the exposure they should have..

Guess I'll just try to stay awake and see if things are back on track late tonight so I can launch them then..

Maybe ebay heard I was gung-ho on listing a whole bunch of junk so they figured they better cut me off at the pass and totally shut down... LOL :teeth:

I've been leaving FB after payment too. Like you, I'm sure one of these days I will probably regret it. I don't leave it immediately after payment but after I ship. It's kinda a little system I've got in "My Ebay" that after they pay and I ship, I leave FB telling them I shipped and delete the listing from my sold column. I guess I'm slipping as I used to send them an email to let them know that thier purchase has been shipped, but I've gotten away from that.

That said, if I have an uneasy feeling about buyer, or get things don't go smoothly, I hold off on the FB until I've gotten FB from the buyer.

Might regret it one day, but until then.....

I use my web page at Homestead to host mine and I'm pretty sure they stay up forever. Not sure how it works with other sites.

Just thought that I would give everyone a heads up. I was getting some listings ready to upload and I received an email from Ebay. Jan 7-8 are Penny Gallery Days. I think I will hold off on my uploads until tomorrow! Hope this helps you guys too. I'm hoping to get started listing ALOT! My DH told me on New Years Day that if I can make the $ on Ebay we can go back to WDW! Our 1 and only trip was in Dec, 2001 and I found these boards in Jan, 2002 and have been trying to find a way to get back ever since! I'm thinking about getting into making/selling candles. Do you guys think they will go well on Ebay? Anyway, I'm gonna get back to work, Hope this news helps! Heres looking for alot of green for us all! Sandy

please ignore my ignorance, but Im new to ebaying.. I just went on ebay and saw it too.. does that mean I can list my items for .01 each instead of .30??? Thats how I understand it and just want to make sure before I start listing all this stuff. :D

Ok now that I read it... thats not what I think it is.. Does that mean I can add a gallery picture to each of my listings for .01?? still paying the normal listing price??

You still have the normal listing fees, but if you use the gallery upgrade for you pictures it only costs $.01 (normally $.25). Hope that helps explain it. Sandy

Ok.. thanks that makes sense... After I read it again that was what I was thinking they were saying.. Cool deal..

Are FREE Global Priority Mail flat rate envelops available at the PO? Someone wants to buy a CD from me, but I just found out he's in Canada. What are my options?

Yes they should be available at your PO, I know you can order them on the website.

As for other options, you can send them in a padded mailer for much less then Priority.

I heard back from the buyer, who obviously has experience buying from US sellers. He knows it will cost about $1.60 to mail a CD. I was hesitant at the lowest rates because the USPS wensite says it could take 4-6 weeks for delivery. Now I just need to get a bigger envelope than I have on hand and I'm ready to ship it out.

Here is the total notice..remember though, if you relist these later and don't want the gallery, you must revise each auction. I saw ebay's stats once FL day was over..I wondered if they were going to offer it..remember, it's Pacific Time. Good luck everyone..I'll be down visiting the mouse starting Tuesday AM..so no listing for me!
