Yes, i have heard the same thing, but how do i "link" to it or download the pictures? I did ask others who have used Pinpics and their responses were similar. Easy directions for a computer "illiterate" are appreciated. Thanks.
Let me preface by saying that I have not linked pictures to Ebay. I also am not sure if they supply the html tags to do it easily although I know their description box does offer 'easy html'. But generally to link an image from one site to another you need to put the picture web address between the html tags on the page where you need them. The picture address is determined this way: Similar to the explanation above, right click on the picture. This time, choose 'properties'. A box will come up and in it appears the web address of the picture. Be careful to note that the entire web address may not be readily visible. Follow this to get the address to copy from there to the place in your description you want it: Position your mouse cursor to the left of the beginning of the address in 'properties'. This is usually either the 'h' (from http) or the 'w' from www.. Holding the left mouse button down, highlight the entire web address and be sure it scrolls down to the very end (showing the portion that is not readily visible at first glance). The addy usually, but not always ends in .jpg, .gif, .btmp or some other graphic ending. Then release your mouse (and the highlighted portion remains highlighted). Then hold down the ctl button and the letter c (for copy). Oh, sorry, you should also have open the page where you are putting this information--either a place to save it on your computer, or the actual place in your ebay auction (or anywhere else you are posting the pic). You will then switch to that page, positioning your cursor exactly where you want to drop the information and hold down ctl and v (for paste). Remember that you also need the html tags (before and after the addy.) Hope that is clear enough.

Just curious..do they actaully allow you to link to their pics, or to just use them from your own server? I wouldn't think they would want the bandwidth used.

Most sites have it noted somewhere in their fine print. However, a simple trial and error will determine if it works if one cannot find the fine print. If it doesn't work (and you have done it correctly) then they don't allow it. I am not familiar with that particular site, but I know that most tripod, lycos and geocities do not allow linking unless an extra fee is paid for the site.

It works for lots of places, (regardless if they "allow" it or not) however, they may not want you to link to them..so be sure to ask or see if they say it on their site. I know on another eBay board, it's considered very bad manners to link, without permission.

For those considering Spare Dollar - Received this email with their new upgrades that are occuring. These may be beneficial to some of you. If you have not signed up and want a referral link you can PM me for one. (I believe each member receives a free month for each referral). Your referral link will automatically be in your auctions, which is really nice - if someone thinks your auction looks nice and links to sd thru your auction, you will receive credit.

Regardless - here you go! That shipping calculator looks nice!

We thank you for your continued support and appreciate your patience during our system upgrade process. Have a safe and Happy Holiday!

I'm also a member of Spare Dollar, and I have to say, I was surprised when my sis joined, to get the month free!

I've only used it a few times, since it seems to have had a lot of problems..I found myself going back to Vendio and thinking the money was worth it. I had no idea that I wasn't going to be able to simply relist my items (I sell the same thing over and over) unless I saved them..it didn't save automatically. I didn't have time to fool around Christmas, so I scooted back to my tried and true first love, Vendio LOL!

This is a question that i'm sure has been asked before, but i haven't had luck finding the answer - how can i download pin pictures from Pinpics to add to my pin ad on eBay? All those " i must have them" pins now need a new home and i am ready to begin, but not having the "computer smarts" to download the picture is hindering my efforts. Thanks to anyone who can help out. I love this thread- if only i could keep up with it! Caroline:wave:

I am a member of pinpic.com, and I really don't think that they would like you to connect to there page, through ebay.

I think that the best thing to do, would be to save the pic to your hard drive, then you can upload the pics onto ebay from there.

Just right-click on the pic of the pin that you are wanting to sell, from pinpics. When you see the menu that pops up, left-click on the "Save As" option. You will then get a window that comes up asking you were you would like to save this pic. If you have windows, there is a folder called "My Pictures" you might want to save it there (This is up to you). Make sure that you save the pic in either .JPG or .BMP form. There will be a bar under the file name bar, that will let you pick what format you would like to save it.

Then when you are getting your auciton ready for ebay, when you are in the area that ask if you would like to add a pic or not, just click on the pic box. A menu window will pop up. Then all you do is click on the folder that you saved the pic in and then click twice on the pic of the pin itself. Ebay will then upload the pic, and save it to your action.

Good Luck! If you have any other questions, just ask.

I got my PayPal debit card in the mail yesterday and used it to purchase bubble mailers and a ream of paper this morning. Getting cash back is the best! even if it is only a mere $0.13. I'm off to the PO to collect a few more cents by using my new debit card to pay for postage.

Just wanted to pop in for a minute and wish all my friends here a wonderful holiday!!

Hope it was extra "green" for you due to your eBay efforts!!

And please - drive carefully over the holidays - I don't want to grow old alone...;)

Hope everyone had a good holiday! DH and I didn't go anywhere since he's sick with the flu and I'm recovering from it! I listed a few things tonight (just a few ~ I'm holding out in hopes of a free listing day!), but I also did some shopping! Got some great deals for auctions ending tonight, I guess a lot of people aren't online. :) I picked up a few early birthday presents (I tend to shop year 'round!)

Merry Christmas to everyone! Well, I listed 16 items for 5 days, that all ended today! I am extremely happy with the results! I cannot believe it, but the person who won my serger-lives like 10 miles away from here!! Anyways, a lady bot some of my mondor tights for skating from Norway! & she wants to buy more-I dont have any more listed currently, can I sell to here off ebay? or? thanks Val S.

thanks DisneyChrista, another ? -do all of you send the invoices out? how do you do it if a bidder won lets say 2 auctions?
Thanks
Val S.

If you are using ebay auctions invoices, you can combine multiple wins on one invoice. Make sure you figure the shipping cost to add in and you are done.
