You Guys Part of the Family? You've Got the Magic In Your Eyes!!->Updated 10/19x3!!!!

I just love reading about all of your Character interactions!

I'm not sure what that band is that you saw. I've never seen it personally but I've seen a lot of pictures lately in other TRs.

We missed Phillharmagic in November. We just spent too much time in the New Fantasyland area. I am definitely going to see it in a few weeks!

Thanks!! We should hit up some characters and Phillharmagic together in a few weeks!! You're going to be in MK on the 1st, right? We're park hopping that day, but should be there around 4ish, we could hit up a few rides/characters together before dinner??

SO EXCITED!!

Yep, I'll be at MK all day Friday, 3/1. I would love to meet some characters with you. I'm not too comfortable doing it by myself but it would be fun with an "expert". :lmao:

You've got my cell number, right? You can text me when you get to MK and we'll figure out where to meet up.

I asked Mom if there was anything else that she wanted to do that we hadn’t done, after all, I had given her a few guide books to read, so she must have known if there was anything we missed that she liked. She said that she’d like to do the Jungle Cruise….that is…if it didn’t scare me too bad anymore. Baha, of course it doesn’t, so we headed over that way.

The wait wasn’t long at all (clearly) although we played around with that spider in the cage that moves if you hit the cage too much. Lawl. It definitely scared some people that were waiting in line.

245-1.jpg

The cruise was good, the jokes were lame, but it was fun, there wasn’t anything I hadn’t heard before, but hey, they’ve got a script they’ve got to at least somewhat stick to. I will say, if I was to work attractions, I’d want to be a JC skipper haha. Our skipper was Brendan, and he was super good...also...super cute…ahaha. Does it make me a bad TR writer if I don’t have a picture?!

Mom and I ventured through the rest of Adventureland, stopping to brave some Pirates, and found ourselves in a boat with a service dog, which was entertaining to say the least, the dog wasn’t too distracted or crazy, but it was interesting to have one on the ride with us. We also hit up Big Thunder another time, the wait time was only 20 minutes so we jumped in the standby line.

I killed time by taking some pictures with my Iphone and checking my email for the thousandth time that day (and seriously…still haven’t heard ANYTHING…ugh) to hear nothing.

Thankfully it wasn’t long before we were on the ride, and were zipping through the mountains…mountains? Mine? Whatever! Haha, you get the point. I will say this, BTMRR is a lot LOUDER in parts than I would like, but hey, I guess that makes it a ride? I also feel like I’m going to hit my hands on the ceiling a lot, I know I won’t, but it still stops me from putting my hands up haha.

With our adventures behind us, Mom and I cut across towards the hub, but veered into Fantasyland. The amount of times I walked past where the entrance to the expansion was, hoping it would by chance be open and we’d be allowed in is countless, and this was one of those times. It wasn’t open at all, booo, so we headed towards dinner.

I had yet to tell Mom where we were eating, so I asked her if she had any idea, she said no, so I asked her where Princesses would eat, she had no idea. I pointed to the castle, and I’m pretty sure her response was something along the lines of “there’s a restaurant in there?” Clearly someone didn’t read all of the guide books I leant her…. HA. No worries, I have it all under control! In case you haven’t figured it out, we’re eating at Cinderella’s Royal Table tonight, a special meal for my Mom’s birthday!

We checked in right around 6:45, and got in line for Cindy. I definitely don’t have the photos, as we got the hard copies, and I don’t have a scanner, so use your imaginations! Yay! Cinderella asked us where we were from, and when told it was Canada she said that must have been a long journey, and to make sure that Mom had a magical birthday, and the usual princess talks.

Mom and I took a seat on the benches by the door and settled in for the wait before we were called. I took some pictures around the room, and watched little princesses interact with *the* Princess as my emotions just got too intense.

Jaq & Gus Gus! So cute. Ugh, I bought Cinderella last week, and watched it and seriously, I don’t think I’ve seen the whole thing in forever. How RUDE is it that the stepsisters literally rip her clothes off of her, like, seriously, that’s gotta hurt. Also, that dress, the MICE AND BIRDS made for her, can you just pause for a minute and think about how much work that must have been for them?

Okay, now, prepare yourselves for an attack of cute, your feels may explode. Mom and I are sitting there, and in walks the most adorable little girl in the Rapunzel wedding dress, ugh, my feels, I’m so in love with that dress, and I cannot wait to have a little princess to dress her in it. She was so cute, and I was dying enough with that. THEN, her brother/cousin walks in behind her, dressed as Prince Charming. UGH. I died. But oh wait, then, the little baby toddled in, dresses as a knight, cape and all. MY OVARIES EXPLOEDED RIGHT THEN AND THERE. I’m pretty sure Mom thought I was crazy. She was nice enough however, to ask the family if it would be okay to take a picture of the three of them, and they were awesome enough to let her!

253.jpg

SDFASFNDJGNSFKGNSF MY FEEEEEEELLLSSSSS. Seriously, my kids are going to have so many costumes/outfits they won’t know what to do with them. They’ll have like, every outfit imaginable, they’ll be so sick of wearing princess dresses they’ll hate me. UGH.

And that’s where I’m going to leave you on this update for now!

************

Gotta add in a little bit here as I did mention checking my email to hear back from electronic submissions in this update. In case you're wondering, I never heard back from them. Well, that sucks. I am planning on going to the face character audition that is taking place when Paige and I are there in a few weeks. They're looking for Cindy, Rapunzel, Snow, and Alice, among others that I couldn't be friends with.

ALSO, for those of you who read the July TR of mine, you know the girl who I met at the audition, who got through all the rounds and fitted to hang out with Rapunzel? Well, she decided to do the DCP, and is down there right now getting to hang out with lots of fun characters and she even gets to spend some quality time with Punzie too! Exciting! Hopefully that'll be me next!!

Those kids are so cute! I can see why you were crazy about them. Can't wait to hear about your special dinner at CRT! I sure hope you enjoyed it as much as we did.

Good luck on your auditions! Look princessey!

Aww too cute taking your mom to CRT for her birthday!! I'm sure you guys had a blast.

Oh my god those kids are too adorable. I'm totally with you on dressing my kids up like princesses when I have them. Hopefully they'll take after me and enjoy it lol!

How annoying to not hear back from the online submissions. Good luck on your next audition!!!! Hopefully on my next trip to Disney, I'll be finding you as a princess friend!

So cute!! I was dying!! I always enjoy CRT, and thank you!! I'm actually thinking that I have more of a chance to get pulled for Alice, but we'll see!

Haha! I can't wait to have a million costumes for my kids to dress up as! It was odd, and sucked, but hey, sometimes that's how life goes, hopefully I'll be hanging out with some fun friends next time I'm down there!

Such cute kids!!!!!

Shortly after the explosion of my ovaries, we were called upstairs, right at 7:30, so we waited around 45 minutes total from check in to getting to the table. Mom and I were seated in the top little, balcony room, but right against the railing, meaning we could see out into Fantasyland! Yay!

Our server, Bessie, came by and gave us a run down on how everything worked, and asked what we would like to drink, I think Mom just got a diet coke, and I got a pink lemonade. See, to vary from my “I’ll have water” rant earlier, if there’s something fun that’s not pop, I’m more likely to order it, at least 1 glass, haha, and lemonade’s usually not too sweet for me. Bessie also dropped off our “Wishing Stars” and wands at the table with the dinner rolls!

254.jpg

I thought that was awesome, the last time they had brought us the wands & swords, but not the wishing stars, maybe we had been seated too late, and they’d already done the last one of the night? Who knows? Anyhow, it was super awesome, as was Bessie. Here’s some shots from our table looking around the castle.

255.jpg

256.jpg

Light fixtures! Always important! Also, out the window, you can see right into Fantasyland, so magical!

257.jpg

258.jpg

They do a really good job of keeping the “castle” feeling going on in here, I mean clearly, you are in a castle, and the room is pretty small! Sitting just down and across from us was a table that was an older couple, and judging by the look of the woman, it was a trip related to either battling or defeating cancer…we weren’t sure which. This was confirmed when the princesses started coming around and Ariel was really moved by it, nearly looked like she was going to cry. That’s something I amend the characters about too, the amount of Make A Wish kids that they must see on a daily basis and hear their stories and not DIE OF EMOTION, incredible.

259.jpg

Here; have a picture of the menu…

260.jpg

It’s pretty basic, with the dining plan you get the dinner rolls, refillable non-alcoholic drinks, an appetizer, a main course and a dessert. It’s one heck of a lot of food throughout the night, and there’s princesses, and you’re eating in the castle. So it’s WELL worth the money/2 dining credits! The servers also spend the entire night calling you “M’lord & M’lady” I was super happy with Bessie too as she did not overdo it, as I’ve had a server in the past, she was seriously amazing!

262.jpg

Those are the buns! Yum! They’re nice and toasty warm and the butter’s whipped, OM NOM. I ordered the “Royal Tasting of Cheese” which was a trio of cheeses with accompaniments and Mom had the “Castle Salad”, mixed greens with seasonal accompaniments.

261.jpg

There was blue cheese, gouda, and goat cheese on the plate with various things to go with them. I loved the gouda, but the rest of it was just okay. I’m usually big on cheeses, but these ones just weren’t in my taste range. Oh well. Mom liked the salad, I don’t think it was very different from any other salad you could get, like, a salad’s a salad.

263.jpg

The pink lemonade I had was seriously delicious, I’ve always loved pink lemonade, and it was readily available when I was a kid, but not so much anymore (they’ve seriously taken everything out of Canada, you can’t get Mountain Dew with Caffeine, you can’t get Fruity Pebbles or Coco Pebbles….or coco puffs….) While we ate our appetizers, the Princesses started coming around, and Snow was the first at our table. (That’s the first time I’ve mentioned her since I’ve started watching Once Upon A Time, and I’ll probably refer to her as that from now on in….also, if you haven’t watched Once, you probably should…)

264.jpg

265.jpg

She was super cute, and chatted briefly, but was kinda blah. I think it was also because the Wishing Ceremony was going on while she was there and talking to us, and I was trying to focus on that (Hello, wishing I could work at Disney, kinda busy here!). I thought the wishing ceremony was suuuuper cute, and really do wish the princesses would pause so we could all really get into it. Then again, maybe she thought “Oh, adults, I’ll just go to them during the ceremony” who knows. Anyways, I can’t tell you what my wish was, cause then it won’t come true, but I’m sure you can all guess the basics of what it was.

Aurora came up to the table next, and she was more memorable and chatty. She commented that we were both wearing her fairies favorite colours! Yay! She was good!

266.jpg

267.jpg

Mom and I both ordered the “Roasted Beef Tenderloin” for dinner, “sliced roasted beef tenderloin with duchess potatoes, asparagus and a Chasseur Sauce”

268.jpg

I’m not a huge fan of the duchess potatoes, but I got them anyway, just to try them again, no such luck haha. The beef was good, and tasty, but after eating at Le Cellier, both of us agreed that it definitely wasn’t the same, or nearly as good as that stuff was! Don’t let that throw you off the beef though, it is really delicious! While we ate, my favorite came by, Ariel!

269.jpg

She asked what my name was, and when I told her “Katt” she said “I’m going to call you Catfish” which was the second time today Ariel had said that to me!

270.jpg

This Ariel however was MUCH better than the one we had met that morning, she was much more energetic and bubbly and talkative, even Mom said so after she left! Next up was Belle:

271.jpg

272.jpg

I don’t have much to say about her, she’s just super awkward, I’d met her in July and it was just the same tonight. After the great interaction in Epcot, this Belle just didn’t cut it. I dunno, there’s something about her that’s just a little awkward. I know a lot of the time it can come from the character themselves not being the most outgoing (aka, Tink) and interacting with adults only makes them talk a lot more, but if you’re chatty, I’m going to be chatty. That’s what makes the fairies & Tiana & Naveen so awesome, they’re all so talkative all the time! Belle moved on, and so did we, it was time for dessert!

273.jpg

We both got the “Dessert Trio” a cappacino cheesecake, custard, and a chocolate mousse. Mom also got her birthday cupcake! (which I helped eat…those things are too delicious to pass up!)

274.jpg

The trio was great, the mousse was definitely the winner though! Soon after, Bessie came over with our check and we signed away everything and made sure to give her a good tip, and we were on our way. She was seriously amazing, I know I didn’t talk about her a lot, but she was a great server, both to us, and just in general (being a server myself, sometimes you can just tell) she was right on the ball with everything, was really comfortable with the kids and princesses being around, and just overall great! Thanks Bessie!

Cinderella’s Royal Table Review:
4/5
-Amazing service
-Amazing ambience, I mean, you’re in the freaking castle, what could be better?!
-It was quick for a 3 course meal, but not so fast that you felt rushed and all “ugh indigestion” like
-The food was all really good, even with the Le Cellier beef being better.
-Loved the Wishing Ceremony, wish the princesses would pause for a little bit during it so everyone could participate and wish their wishes.

Overall, a great birthday dinner, Mom did really like it. When we were done, everything was already roped off for the parade and fireworks, and most people were gathered, it was getting pretty close to that time, so we left through the front of the castle, and went to find a place for the parade.

275.jpg

276.jpg

I only had my Iphone out at this point, so I’m pretty dang impressed with the next picture!

277.jpg

YAY! SO PRETTY!

278.jpg

And it appears I can’t walk past that stage without taking a picture of the view. See, everyone else will just be all “oh, what a nice view down Main Street” and I’m all “SDFNOGNDFJGSFN DREAM ALONG WITH MICKEY STAGE VIIIIEEEWWW” because apparently I am just crazy….Lol.

Mom and I did discuss whether we wanted to stay or not, I mean, I would have plenty of times to see the parade/fireworks, and I didn’t know if she wanted to. I was tired, and it was pretty crowded by now, and I was in a bit of a food coma, but we decided to stick it out, and managed to get all the way into Frontierland before we found a decent viewing spot for the parade!

A nice dinner at the castle! We've had that Ariel before, and I think I remember her being one of the better ones.

The beef certainly wasn't 'steakhouse quality' when we were there either, but it was much better than the food we've had at most character meals. That pasta sounded delicious too!

I must detour for a moment. WHY do you not get cocoa and fruity pebbles in Canada?? I would die lol. Fruity Pebbles are definitely a staple in my breakfast diet. :rotfl2:

Back on track,

Glad you guys had a great meal at CRT. I just find it so so weird that Belle is in her blue dress in the castle. It seems out of place but maybe that's just me:confused3

I don't think I had ever seen pictures that showed the inside of CRT so well. Thanks for showing us this. :thumbsup2

I went out of town for the weekend so I'm two updates behind. Let's see if I can remember everything (ok I cheated and took some notes)!

I never knew there was a spider in the line for Jungle Cruise. I don't think I've ever waited in the stand by line. Thanks for the warning, spiders are the one creature that really freak me out! :scared1:

I just love all the theming on BTMR!

Those kids were soooo cute! Almost (but not quite) makes me wish I had one or two. :rotfl:

Good luck with the audition in a few weeks!

The dinner with your Mom looked so good. My Mom always talks about wanting to eat in the castle but we've never made it there. We are going back again in Jan 2014 and I'm determined to surprise her with dinner there. Of course we are going to have 16 people on the trip so it might be a bit of a challenge.

I really enjoyed it, and she was great!! I was thankful that we had a redeeming Ariel after the one earlier, I just don't like her! And that sucks for someone being my favorite princess, I've had more less than satisfying experiences with her recently, who knows!

The beef is super delicious, and I really do like it, but it defeinitely wasn't le cellier! Lol. I'm a fan of the food at CRT, and really do like it, and I'm glad it wasn't a buffet lol.

AHAHA, I have no idea!! We used to have the flinstones ones when I was a kid, but now you can't find them anymore anywhere! SUPER SAD!

Hahah, I think that she's in blue because there isn't enough space to move between the tables with the huge hoop that's in her yellow dress!

I don't think I had ever seen pictures that showed the inside of CRT so well. Thanks for showing us this. :thumbsup2

No probs!! I think one of my goals now is to get more pictures of awesome details that I haven't gotten before, like, everyones seen the basic pictures, so let's get new ones!

Hahah but you had an awesome weekend trip!! Lol, no worries, I seriously take notes for practically every update that I read!!

Hhaha, no probs! I never even thought of that, I dunno, after five years of working at summer camp, I guess spiders don't freak me out haha. Oh my goodness, I was just all "I want babies" when I saw them, like, I cannot wait to have a little princess to dress up in everything and take to Disney, ugh!

I'm still hesitant about the audition, I'm just not sure, I'll see how I feel the day of haha.

It's a lot of fun, I really like it in there, and it's worth the price, some people are all "no, it's not worth it, the food isn't that good" or whatever, but it actually awesome!!

I left off with Mom and I finding a spot in Frontierland for the parade, we were behind a large group of people, and it wasn’t the greatest spot, but we were right beside one of the drink carts, and right beside the fence, so we were half sitting on it, half standing on the rocks to get a better view, and it was pretty nice. There was also a nice family that we chatted with for a bit while we waited for the parade to start (which honestly, wasn’t lon)

279.jpg

280.jpg

With Tink having such a heavy presence in the parks, and lots of people loving both her and the other fairies, you really think the other ones would pop up more in the parades/meets/meals, anything really.

281.jpg

282.jpg

The photos are all a compilation of mine from my phone, from my camera, and Mom’s camera. I believe I tried a few with my camera, but just couldn’t get the settings to work out well enough, so I stuck with my faithful phone for the rest of the nighttime pics!

I do love that Alice is miced and can actually talk to everyone as she goes past, rather than just a voice over, it really adds to the whole thing!

289.jpg

290.jpg

I’m happy to say that I was glad in the end that we decided to stick it out for the parade, the music just cheers me right up, no matter what kind of a mood I’m in. I think I had also just eaten too much and wasn’t feeling good because of that, and it didn’t help. But by now I was happy!

291.jpg

292.jpg

293.jpg

Okay, I’m going to lodge this complaint in here; as much as I do like this parade, it’s mainly the music, and that’s about it. I find that there’s a TON of older characters in it, like, every time I see the dragon, I think it’s Puff the Magic Dragon…and that’s past the time of the kids nowadays. I don’t think many kids know a lot of the people in this parade, and I feel like it could be pretty boring for them. There’s not a lot of characters, or dancing, although the lights are pretty and the music is cool, that’s about it. I will be happy to see Spectromagic if the rumors of it coming back are true!

294.jpg

295.jpg

296.jpg

The end of the parade will forever remind me of the Muppets “A tribute to all nations, but mostly….AMERICA” seriously….so patriotic. I mean no disrespect, but the end of that parade is the most of it haha. Mom and I also joked that if I do get hired at Disney, I’d end up dancing in that part of the parade. HA! (for those of you who haven’t realized….we’re Canadian…lawl). With the parade over, we followed the massive crowds back towards the castle, it was time to wish upon some stars and have all our dreams come true!

Alright, are you ready for this? Open this link:

Let it load a little bit so it can play while you read the rest of this update….and make your feels explode.

Mom and I found a pretty decent spot in the hub, it’s relatively easy when you’re only a party of 2 and you’re both adults, we weaseled our way into the middle of the roadway and waited for the show to begin!

The Magic, Memories & You show had just stopped its run before we had gotten there, so there was none of that to watch. Honestly, I thought the concept was cool and the designs on the castle were pretty neat, but I was always too far away from the castle to see any of the pictures. Really, even if we were in the hub right in front, I could never really make out the pictures. So, needless to say, I’m okay with it being gone and it not going on that night. Ho hum.

297.jpg

298.jpg

Before we knew it, Tinkerbell was flying across the hub and the show was beginning.

299.jpg

300.jpg

Ugh. I won’t lie, this show gets my feels going, sometimes worse than others. It just makes me happy, and makes me smile, and sometimes cry. Although, I made it through the show tonight without any tears haha.

301.jpg

302.jpg

303.jpg

The part that gets me the most emotional of Wishes is when you hear all the Disney characters being all “I wish for….” And then go on with what they want. Specifically Ariel’s, when she’s all “I wish I could be part of that world” and that’s what I feel every time I think of Disney. There’s nothing more that I want than to be able to be part of the Disney family, to be the one bringing the magic to people, to make their dreams come true. I’m all “I get ‘ya Ariel, I really do” and that’s why I relate with Ariel the most in the recent times.

Are you exploding with emotions yet? If not, maybe flip back over to that youtube video and watch the ending of it, then you should be in tears….I’ll wait here….

…..Done? Great, grab a Kleenex, and we’ll continue! While we’re on the topic of Wishes, I’ll just talk about mine for a bit, I can’t lie, every time I have the chance to wish, I wish that one wish, the one about Disney (clearly I have to beat around the bush, if I tell you, it doesn’t come true…DUH) I kept my wishing star from CRT, and I’ve hung it up on my wall, just under one of those “Keep Calm” posters of mine that says “Keep Calm & Pursue Your Dream” and has a little Mickey head. It’s surrounded by a college of Disney character photos and a really big one of the bird dancer from FOTLK. I’ve recently added another college beside it that’s all Disney Dancers and parade performers, all centered around an awesome picture of the Dream Along with Mickey dancers that you’ll hear all about much later. I wish on that Wishing Star pretty much every day, and I can’t lie, most days I do it like Lottie from Princess and the Frog. HA.

I’m a big believer in dreams & wishes, and I hope you all are too. I was never really sure what I wanted to do with my life, for a career, etc, until I really discovered Disney, and how much it is about dreams coming true. My dreams all revolve around Disney and working for them, whether in FL, CA, a DCL, or overseas parks, I just want to help bring the magic alive. Hopefully you all believe in dreams and doing all you can to make them happen, because remember, you can achieve anything you put your mind to!

ANYWAYS. Wishes ended, Mom and I waited for the huge crowds to empty out and slowly headed back to our bus stop. Thanks to staying at a Deluxe resort, I knew it wouldn’t be a horrible wait, and on our way out, I made sure to point out the Pop Century line, that was backed up all the way to the start…ugh. Before we knew it, we were back at Animal Kingdom Lodge and in our beds getting sleep for tomorrow!

Food of the Day: -Sangria from Tortuga Tavern!
-Dessert Trio from CRT

Ups of the Day:
-The AM EMH saved SOOOO much, we got so much done!
-The super adorable kids at CRT
-Mom’s birthday dinner!

Downs of the Day:
-Ariel in the m & g was blah…
-There were points that it was super crowded

I love, love, love MSEP! I can listen to the music from it over and over. I think I love it so much because I grew up watching it. I saw Spectromagic in 2010 and found it sort of creepy, especially the jester guys in the big balls. Guess it's all what you prefer! I will be watching MSEP in less than two weeks!! :dance3:

Oh and confession time. I have never watched Wishes from the Hub. :scared1: I've actually only seen it one time from Liberty Square and most of the fireworks were blocked by the buildings. I'm definitely going to fix that oversite this trip!

I totally understand your dreams for Disney! Well, I wouldn't want to be a performer but if there was anyway I could up a move to Florida and spend everyday at one of the parks, I would so be there! :goodvibes

Ok, I've read many TRs with pictures of Wishes, and I almost did not lick on your link, but then I did, and... I teared up! Just after I finished reading your paragraph about liking Ariel's wish, the video got to that part. Magical!

You didn't like Magic, Memories and you?! It was my favorite night time show! It even surpassed Wishes it terms of making me tear up. Sure, I couldn't make out the smaller pictures, but the big ones yes, and all the parts with characters, and then Walt himself at the end... and the music! Oh, the music was phenomenal! I like the new Celebrate the Magic, but without the MMY music it's just not the same.

I agree with you about MSEP. It was nice and I enjoyed it but I don't feel the need to see it again. Now the Celebrate a Dream Parade, I would watch that everyday. I would be happy to see Spectromagic come back because I've heard so much about it but never saw it :rotfl2:

I liked the MMY but I definitely like the new Celebrate the Magic better. Walt saying "I just hope we never lose sight of one thing, it was all started with a mouse"!!! OMG I'm tearing up while I type. I can't.

And Wishes. ugh, such a soft spot in my heart. I don't even know if it's possible not to fall in love.

You got awesome pictures with your phone!
