Ahahahahaha this is a new thing! Lol, its been a long time coming, but is actually official now haha! I wouldn't swoon over Naveen quite so much if I hadnt been single!

Yeah! The downside of the lights is you cant get to the umbrella at Christmas!

Doing this update quick before going to MK today!! It's been an awesome trip with lots of fun stories to tell, so I'll be sure to link the TR in this one before I start. For any of you that were wondering, yes, FLE is incredible!

We had gotten seats very close to the front of the theatre, I’m pretty sure we were in the very first row that wasn’t reserved for those families who had scooters/wheel chairs. It was great! I also found it hilarious that I knew when the show was going to start before Mom (or anyone around us) as I could hear the fog machines start before you could see it, or hear the ringing of the bells. Also, I love the way this show starts, with the bell and smoke!

The one downside to the camera, I had yet to find the “kids/pets” setting, it’s the best for photographing dance, as it takes the pictures super quickly. I’m still messing around with that, so if you know the best setting, let me know!

I’ll say this: people complain about the way they do the transformations in this, that it should be more high tech, but really, it’s the way they do it on Broadway, and there aren’t a lot more options to do it with, so suck it up! Lawl. I do hate how it’s the Beast mascot though, like, there’s not a whole lot of ways to express emotion for him, but whatevs!

Also can we talk about how right before Belle turns around is like, the most intense moment of the show, if you’ve seen it as many times as me, and can identify some of her friends in this show. It’s always the anticipation if it’s going to be one of the good ones, or one that you just don’t agree with. I know the first time I saw the show, the group I was with didn’t really like this one, but she’s seriously amazing.

The costumes in this show are just amazing as well, I’m in love with all the bright colors! And now, to leave you in the 2nd most anticipation moment of the show, which friend of Gaston’s is going to show up?!!?

That would be my reaction too….quite seriously…I would love to dance in this show, but you’ve got to be 5’6’’, which I was a little confused at, as the rest of Disney’s dancers are around 5’3’’ and up. Mom said something about how you have to be that tall, and have a certain leg length to be a Rockette, thanks to the kick lines, and we later realized that there are definitely kick lines in this show, so there ya go. Boourns, but hey, it’s all good!

I really am a huge fan of this show, and I love that they mashed up Belle & Gaston into 1 opening number, it gives the songs a spot in the show without having to worry about it taking way too much time, and complicating things. Love it!

When I was growing up, Belle was definitely my favorite princess, and she’s slowly stating to make her way back up there. On top of the whole “being part of that world” Ariel thing, my love for Belle & Beauty and the Beast is increasing now. I’m pretty sure it’s just that whole “I want so much more than this, I want adventure” right? I don’t want to be stuck in Calgary forever, hence why I’ve lived in 3 different cities, traveled alone to Australia for 3 months, and constantly move houses, and am only 23. I just want more, and need to discover that, hence the love for Belle haha.

I think my favorite “laughable” moment of the show is when the narrator’s all “due to some circumstances, Belle ended up in an enchanted castle….” Ha, like, there goes half the movie, cuts out a couple characters, no biggie!

So much love for those costumes, I seriously think it’s just the bright colors, I’d like tights like that, totes wear them every day…all day…with the shoes…HA. I’d be so hot. Baha!

Another thing that always blows my mind in this show is the quick changes of all the costumes, like, not just Belle & the Prince at the end, but the ensemble during the whole thing. Especially the two guys that hold the blanket for the transformation, I mean, none of them have very long to change. The first change for any of the girls would be, shoes, tights, dress (possibly 2 pieces) and wig, into a different pair of tights, shoes, two piece outfit, wig & headpiece. Like, it’s insane. Props to them!

This would be the point that if you’re bored by pictures, just stop reading…I seriously took a million more this trip just because of the shows and the new camera and wanting to be able to actually have good pictures from the shows haha.

How cute! Now, this is where I’ll put this factoid haha. Well, guess it’s more of an opinion, or factoid about me? Lawl. Well, as I said I’ve grown to like this particular friend of Belle a lot more, and it’s because she shows emotion when she’s onstage, it’s clear that she’s got acting experience, and isn’t just a singer who looked & sounded like Belle. She expresses actual emotion, and makes the story believable, where as some of the girls read the lines stale and bland. If there isn’t any emotion from the character, you as an audience don’t feel it, and with her, it’s just awesome!

I won’t lie, I’ve always been a huge fan of the Villians songs in the movies, they’re always so dark & twisty and intriguing, and the Mob Song is no different. Especially along with the choreography of the number, UGH, love it!

The fight scene always makes me laugh though, it’s just so ridiculous and obvious, I mean, clearly they can’t do much, but it’s just so cheesy!

That little scene always just encourages how much of a jerk Gaston is. I mean, he’s clearly the bad guy, he’s clearly evil, but it comes all the way down to that bit right there when he finally pushes Belle (and in the movie when he’s attempting to force marriage on her in the cottage…well….when you watch it again when you’re older, it seriously looks like marriage isn’t the only thing he’s trying to force on her…ugh)

That bit right there, it sure tugs on the heart strings. Especially after World Of Color…

He’s just so happy to be human again! Yay! Love conquers all! Also, here is another great part to check out how Belle’s actually all “concerned it might not be him, then realizes it is him and loves him” rather than just “It is you!” kinda thing. She’s good at this…

Little fact: the designs of these dresses are based off of the enchanted rose in the Beast’s castle!

Also, it honestly took this many viewings of this show for me to realize just how much ballet technique the girls have to do in this show (well, girls and guys I guess haha). They really do a lot of just difficult but basic ballet, you definitely need that training to be in this show!

Also little fact, (I think it’s true, it makes sense haha) if Belle was to stay in the castle after the last petal had fallen off the rose, and she had not fell in love with the beast, she would have turned into an actual bell!

The little princess of the day! It makes me so happy that they do this, make some little girls day absolutely amazing and special! Ack! The feeeeeeels!!

Such a great show (obviously I like it with that many pictures of it, seriously, I go camera crazy at these things!) It was a really good cast today too, the Belle I’ve already raved about, and Gaston was super great too. I won’t lie, the first time I saw that one, back a couple of months ago, I wasn’t too impressed. He had an air about him that he just thought he was the greatest thing in the world because he was a Disney actor, but that air was gone now. Baha!

Just as we were leaving the theatre it started to rain a little bit, and it wasn’t that bad yet, just spitting, we knew it would be over in a short enough time. It started to pick up, but seriously it was easy enough to cut through all the shops on our way out, and just do it slow enough. Next up we headed over to the Muppets!

They were ushering people in right as we got there, so that we could get into this showing. I definitely took the time to look over to the right hand side right as you go in, and I saw the mat the key was under! Yaaay!

Words cannot express how much I love the Muppets, they’re so cute, and the cartoons, they’re awesome!! Mom loved the show too, and as we sat down and she was digging through her bag and realized her camera was not in it! Oh god, this is not good. However she did find it under the seat, but then realized her Minnie Mouse ears were gone! We had put both our pairs into her bag before Beauty & the Beast, or so she thought, they were definitely gone for good by now… saaaaad faaace.

Obviously we browsed the gift shop, Mom took a liking to a bunch of the signs!

LOVE. The new Phineas & Ferb meet and greet was all set up and in the works, and it was super cute, so I took some pictures of it too!

Since the rain was stopped, and we had time to kill before our next show, what else to do but check in to the Hollywood Hotel again?! Mom did suggest Toy Story Mania again, but obviously the wait time would be far too long, so back to ToT did we go! We walked right on the ride too, yay, no waiting!! There was a little girl who was in the same elevator as us, and she was so tiny, and seriously, I would be crying on ToT at that age! She certainly was a daredevil though, had her hands up the entire ride, ready to go and just LOVED it, I hope my kids are like that!

OMG I can't WAIT to see the new fantasyland. I found cheap airfare so I'm going in February, 10 more weeks!!!! Eeeeeee! So excited. It was such a tease to go behind the wall for the Enchanted Tales with Belle. It's so well themed, I can't imagine how amazing it is all done. Have a great time and can't wait to hear about your latest trip

UGH!! My favsies! I really hope the rumors about them closing it and putting in a Tangled show are FALSE. Seriously, Tangled was great, and I loved the characters, but the music just didn't do it for me, and I would hate to see BaTB go!

Tower Of Terror deposited us right into the gift shop, and Mom and I browsed through the little eateries on the street on our way and I picked up some grapes and Mom got some trail mix with a couple of our snack credits, and we were on our way! Where to now, you may ask? Well, the Indiana Jones Stunt Spectacular of course!

They did the little pre show thing where they “pick” the volunteers for the show (for those of you who don’t know, you show up at the theatre half an hour before the show and ask someone about being in the show and that’s how it works, they don’t actually choose right from the audience right then haha) and then we were on our way into the epic stunt world!

I really like the way they do this show, like it’s all like you’re watching a movie being filmed and the way they do the stunts. They get away with showing you everything the way it would be done and then explain everything and the way they’re all being done, it’s great!

The gymnast/ninja/bad guy/stunt people are definitely my favorite! I’m sure Mom enjoyed them too, I mean, anything with gymnastics is an added bonus, right? Ha!

Mom was definitely hesitant about this “volunteer” especially with the whole like “stand on one leg, and keep standing there” bit, he had super awesome great balance, and just came off like a stunt guy, a little too enthusiastic. Lol. When it came to the time for him to get beat up, it becomes pretty obvious haha!

Let me tell you, I would not want to be running around underneath a roving airplane’s propellers. It would definitely freak me out, like, stunt work; it’s still dangerous, even though these guys do it 6 times a day. I mean, there’s still razor sharp spikes coming out of the ground at the beginning, there are still explosions and flipping cars, you take one wrong move, and you are screwed!

And there we go, Indiana Jones saves the day once again! The show was super good, Mom enjoyed it too! I honestly really like watching it, but it can’t be watched every trip, it’s just too much, it’s nice to watch it once in a while. (Then again, if you take a trip only once a year, I guess you’d probably watch it each trip. Bahaha!) Mom and I took a quick bathroom break, and we stopped to trade some more pins on the way out of the theatre, and then it was over to the hub, it was time to Countdown to some FUN!

Happy Opening of New Fantasyland everyone!! (also, it was Walt’s birthday yesterday! Happy Belated) If any of you have had the chance of seeing it already, you know it’s amazing, if you want a look at it, check my Nov trip report, and if you have a chance to go, TAKE IT. You’ll really enjoy it, it’s absolutely amazing. Also, Ginnifer Goodwin was there today, UGH, my Snow!!! I died. Also, think of how much of an honor it probably was for her to be a part of it, she’s been a Disney lover forever and now she’s living the drema! UGH.

Mom and I got a lovely spot for the parade right in the hub, and grabbed a seat to wait for the parade to come around the corner. We witnessed some not so nice parade manners while waiting too. There was a family beside us, and the Dad went off to get a drink/snack for the kids, and while he was gone, two younger girls shoved their way into the spot, but there was only really space because he was gone. Needless to say, the parade watching was a little squishy!

I won’t lie…I am not a huge fan of the cheer uniforms in the parade. Baha!

However I am really happy that 98% of the parade is all Pixar characters and stuff, they don’t get like, any recognition in many of the parades/parks, and this one’s all for them! Especially the ones that don’t come out anymore, like Bug’s Life!

I feel like I would excel at this parade, all the movers have some kind of apparatus, it’s right up my alley! Lawl.

Remy was SUUUPER energetic today, clearly he had been doing some awesome cooking earlier! He was super interactive, playing to the crowd, he kept flipping his ears up to encourage everyone to cheer. Adorbs!

I love that this guy actually still has the sock on his back. Details!!

You know, California Adventure has SUCH a HUUGE Pixar influence, practically everything over there is Pixar, they really need to add more of it into DHS. This park needs some major refurb to it. I know there was talks that Cars Land was going to be added in, along with the Monster’s Inc Coaster, and the B&tB was closing to make way for a Tangled Musical (don’t even get my started on that one…) but only Disney knows how much of the rumors are true. I just feel like we should be adding at least like, the Monster’s Inc ride (its just a cute inside dark ride) in, and be paying more attention to DHS rather than closing FOTLK to make way for Avatarland. Like, no, just get out. (Updated today to add: Heard on tumblr that Avatarland was officially cancelled…hopefully that’s true, and hopefully they’re adding Beastly Kingdom, because let’s be serious, who would build an awesome dragon for one night?!)

It really was a great trip! I edefinitely never even really asked her to come, it was more "would you go to DW?" and when she said she probably would I was all "SURPRISE WE'RE GOING" and on the first day of the trip I asked if she would want to come back for food & wine next year

THAT'S WHO IT IS!! AHHHHH. On this trip I was all "who does this girl remind me of?" and I couldn't pick it out, but it's totally Belle from Once! AH!
