Wasn't the weather beautiful this year?! We seriously lucked out SO much. I was really thankful... considering I spent the majority of the month there.

VERY nice monorail picture. Seriously. That could be a postcard.

Hmmm Staton Island Ferry or the WDW Transportation Ferry... which would I choo- MAGIC KINGDOM OF COURSE!!!!!! Hahaha some people prefer NYC... I prefer Disney World :)

That is my favorite plaque

Aww look at those smiles! SO HAPPY!

---------

Oooh that's such a cool picture of the statues! Very nice angle.

HAHAHA YAY FOR FALLING! :rotfl:

Those honey walls have to be the germiest things EVER but they are just so much fun!! Bring the hand sanitizer

I LOVE BABIES IN THE FANTASYLAND QUEUE LINES!! Omg I always have adorable kids in front of me in Peter Pan. They melt my heart.

Wow awesome job on the Triple Mountain Whammy! I am impressed. That takes skill.

I didn't see Space Mountain when I went to the MVMCP so I didn't see that it was all decorated for christmas - that's cool!!

Ahh I can't wait to see where you went next!

Jess, it is completely fine. I understand!

We REALLY lucked out with the weather! It was one of the best feelings ever! Oh my gosh you really did spend most of your month there-you lucky duck!

Aw thanks! I whipped my camera out so fast when I saw the monorail leaving so I could take it haha!

Hahahaha! FOR REAL. I mean, I do like NYC, but really the only reason we were there was to see Glee Live hahaha. It's too hectic for my taste! Disney all the way. :thumbsup2

 It's the best plaque ever.

We were SO happy omg. Hahah I was watching my videos tonight and we were all like giggly and crazy. But I mean, YOU KNOW HOW IT IS! I don't even have to explain it to you :goodvibes

Oh goodness, thank you again! My camera is a mystery to me. Sometimes it blows me away and sometimes it craps out on me. The little stinker.

Hahaha... falling with style, of course. :rotfl2: Frumps.

Oh gosh, I know. Those things are probably just covered in germs but they're so fun! The common sense just goes out the window at Disney I tell ya!

Fantasyland is like an adorable baby jackpot. They're everywhere! SO CUTE.

Thank you! What can I say... haha. I was so excited that everyone was on Main Street so we could do it!

I know, I didn't get to Tomorrowland when we went to the Christmas party either, so I'm glad I got a little sneak peek!

I'm realllly excited for the next update. I think you'll like it! ;)

HELLO! So, this isn't a real update.

I mean, it's an update of sorts, but it's not an update with pictures and ramblings.

Why?

Because it's a VIDEO. :cheer2:

So listen, before you decide to watch this video, I feel that it's necessary to warn you of some things.

1. I am a (Disney) dork.
2. I'm not the best videographer.
3. It isn't edited it any way. It's literally just a series of (sometimes random) video clips. I'm not expecting it to get snubbed for an Oscar anytime soon. ;)

Okay, I thought there'd be more than three things to say.

ANYWAYS, I would love for you to watch! Just remember those three things when (if) you do. Also, I took all the videos! So you won't see me, but you'll hear me a lot... too much probably haha.

Even though Day 1 isn't over yet (as far as the TR goes) I'm sharing this now because I don't have video footage of the upcoming update... even though I really wish I did!

Okay, enough of me YAMMERING ON. I mean, this isn't even supposed to be a real update... :rolleyes1

So without further ado... HERE IT IS! (It's unlisted so the random non-Dis meanies won't see it/say meanie-like things.)

Day 1 Video!

I hope you enjoy! I'll add more videos as they come up! The next (REAL) update should be coming in the next couple of days! :goodvibes

cute video! it made me smile. I like your friends' matching bright green backpacks too, lol!

cute video! it made me smile. I like your friends' matching bright green backpacks too, lol!

Hahah thank you! I'm glad. Yeah, it was funny because it definitely wasn't planned, and Kristen was saying that they looked like Sprite because Amanda was wearing a yellow shirt. :rotfl:

Aww, I liked the video too. It makes me want to go to Disney World this second.

OK I'm FINALLY all caught up. I'll try to keep my comments short and sweet so your TR doesn't have a giant wall of text clogging it up. :thumbsup2

I agree about the Florida smell. It's heavenly.

No expressions of excitement upon entering Disney property? People are weird.

YAY MAGIC KINGDOM!!! YAY MONORAIL!! YAY FERRY!!

It's a Small World is a classic. I don't understand how anyone could hate it.

I've never been on Snow White. Unless it's still open whenever I manage to get back to Disney, I guess I never will lol. I just wasn't a huge fan of the movie/story. Once Upon a Time has changed that and now I can't get enough Snow White. Well, mainly Prince Charming. Too bad I can't wait in line to meet him...

Triple Mountain Whammy! Such an accomplishment. :goodvibes

Joining in!!! (Now going back to catch up!!) I will say that every ME bus I've been on, there has been NO celebration of driving under the Disney arch, which disappoints me too! :sad2: I think at the very least a fanfare is in order!

Awww I loved your video!!!!!! I really felt like I was there!!!!!! Wahhh, I wanna go to Disney World!!!!!! ;)

Thanks! I'm glad. Please excuse my obnoxious-ness, hahah. Oh gosh I know the feeling! Why am I at my house? Ugh. :confused3

Yay! Listen, I know all about the long comments. Please feel free. It's kinda what we do. :cool2:

The Florida smell is the BEST. Why am I smelling Virginia right now? Ugh, I mean really.

Exactly. I was SO confused. I think they were all on the wrong bus. I kinda thought me saying "woohoo" would cause a chain reaction, but unfortunately it was met by awkward silence instead. :confused3

I don't either! One time when I was riding, there were these two (probably) 12 year old boys behind me, and they kept stating VERY loudly how STUPID they thought the ride was. So I decided to yell, "THIS IS THE BEST RIDE EVER!" I didn't really mean it, but it shut them up. :rotfl:

I was never a huge Snow White fan either, but in the last year or so I really started to appreciate it/her. I think it's because the evil hag finally stopped scaring me...
Omg. What if we COULD line up to meet him? Dreams do come true, after all.

Awesome! I'm glad you're here, thanks for joining!
Oh my gosh, that's sad. :( I've only flown to Disney twice, and my first time on the ME bus, the bus driver was very enthusiastic and everyone cheered when we drove under the Disney gates. I guess I was expecting it to happen every time! Maybe next time you can start a "DISNEY WORLD... DISNEY WORLD" chant. See what happens. :thumbsup2

Awww I loved your video!!!!!! I really felt like I was there!!!!!! Wahhh, I wanna go to Disney World!!!!!! ;)

Hahah aw thank you! I'm pretty obnoxious, but I'm learning to live with it. :rotfl: Oh gosh, I know. I WANT TO GO TOO! What are we doing, not being there? :confused3

Hi! I'm a little late but I'm subbing in. :surfweb: I loveee the title because my family always joke that I could easily be a cast member there! Can't wait to read more...oh i and i loveeee your video!

Hi! You're not late! I haven't even finished the first day yet. :) Haha thank you! My dad thinks I should be one too. Wouldn't that be so fun? AHHH. Thank you so much! It's not a great video but I think it's fun. Thank you for joining in and commenting, I appreciate it! :goodvibes

The One With A Tiny Bit of Ice Cream

December 14, 2011

We only had to wait for the bus for about five minutes, probably less than that! The bus stop was not crowded at all, which wasn’t really surprising because most people were still arriving for the Christmas party! Nobody was really leaving, because apparently most people don’t go to the Magic Kingdom on party days if they’re not actually going to the party.

SILLY. We were able to get so much more done than we would have if it had been a regular park day, PLUS we got to enjoy the party atmosphere for a little while! It was practically perfect in every way. :cutie:

Anyways, if you can’t guess where we were heading based on the title of this chapter, (and I don’t blame you if you can’t) I’m just gonna have to leave you hanging for a little while longer.

MIND GAMES!

We got on our MYSTERY bus and headed to our MYSTERY resort.

I was unbelievably excited to go to this MYSTERY resort because it’s my dream resort. I can’t even explain to yall how badly I want to stay there! Preferably like, tomorrow, but I’ll take what I can get.

I was also excited just to be on a Disney bus for the first time this trip, excluding the Magical Express!

We were having a very pleasant bus ride to our MYSTERY resort. Amanda, Sally, and I were sitting in the sideways seats at the front of the bus. Kristen and Ryan were next to me, but they were on a regular front-facing seat. It was pretty quiet on the bus. There was a lot of normal chit-chat and just general pleasantness.

And then…

…OUT OF NOWHERE…

…this lady sitting in the seats directly behind Ryan and Kristen just BURSTS out laughing.

Apparently her husband had said something hilariously funny to her, because she was laughing SO loudly. The BEST part was that the bus had been very quiet, and suddenly literally everyone was listening to her laugh. She had one of the FUNNIEST laughs I had ever heard! Basically, her laughing was making everyone else laugh. We were CRACKING UP (as quietly as we could). It didn’t do any good that we were trying to be quiet, because the woman could tell we were laughing, and THAT made her laugh EVEN MORE! Oh my gosh, it was hysterical!

The bus was making another stop before we got off, (which MAY give you a clue) and Kristen and Ryan thought they were supposed to get off there, so they stood up. They realized we weren’t quite at our destination yet, so they sat back down.

So the lady’s husband said to them, “Oh, you’re back for round two.”

That made her laugh even more! I think the whole front half of the bus (driver included) was laughing nonstop for about five minutes. :rotfl2:

She and her husband were just having so much fun together, in the middle of Disney World, and they could have cared less who was around them. They were just having fun and being themselves. I thought it was very cute, and luckily for us, very funny.

Finally, we got off the bus at our MYSTERY resort…

THE BEACH CLUB!!!!!

Oh good gracious, it was GORGEOUS! I was totally and completely in love as soon as we got off the bus. This was the first time I actually got to go inside! I had seen it from a distance before, and of course I had seen plenty of (millions of) pictures of it, but being there in person was just infinitely better.

We walked into the lobby and HELLO, more gorgeousness!

We were hit by a very sweet smell. Why?

THIS IS WHY.

THE GINGERBREAD CAROUSEL. Oh goodness. That thing is spectacular and my pictures don't do it justice in the least! Even so, I took a billion.

It was so pretty, and it was cool to be able to see the gingerbread carousel this year after seeing the gingerbread house at the Grand Floridian last year.

I LOVE THE BEACH CLUB AND I WANT TO BE THERE RIGHT NOW.

Okay, so I admit it. We weren't actually at the Beach Club to see the carousel. At least, that's not the only reason...

We kept moving, and we passed Cape May Cafe. Good to know where that is for when I go to the character breakfast when I stay there. (Because it IS going to happen.)

We were looking for a specific place, and we seriously walked around Stormalong Bay in circles looking for it. I bet we looked hilarious. I wish I had gotten a picture of the shipwreck slide, or the pool at all for that matter! Coolest pool ever. UGH HEAVENLY.

When we were on our desperate search, we noticed that they were showing A Muppet Christmas Carol on the big screen on the beach! WAY TO BE, BEACH CLUB.

Finally, we found our intended destination...

Beaches and Cream, the cutest little place ever!

They don't take reservations, so the hostess said we would have about a 15 minute wait. Kristen and Ryan decided to try to walk to the Boardwalk. I called my mom (she had called me earlier in the day) and told her all about our amazing day so far!

After almost exactly 15 minutes, the hostess called us to our table. Kristen and Ryan hadn't even made it to the Boardwalk before they had to turn around to come back! Amanda and Sally decided to go to the bathroom, so basically I was at the table by myself for a few minutes. One of the waiters/busboys/whatever came and brought me all the menus, and he handed me each of them and said, "HERE is your menu," every time he handed me one. Hahahaha, thanks dude. I'm glad I have all the menus.

SDC12233.jpg

Eventually everyone came back to the table, and we started to look at the menus to decide what to eat! Our main objective was ice cream, but none of us had eaten since lunch, and we knew it wouldn't be wise to just have ice cream. We needed to have some real food too.

Sally and Amanda split a sandwich, and Kristen and Ryan split a burger. I wasn't that hungry anyway, so I just got a caesar salad. It was good, but there are no pictures, because let's face it, it was a caesar salad. I did, however, take a picture of my water, because I was thirsty as all get out, and it was so delicious. LOOK, A DISNEY NAPKIN! I have a slight obsession with those...

SDC12234.jpg

I took my trip journal and pen out to take notes while we were eating our food, and I found that my beautiful Mickey Mouse pen (that my friend had given me years earlier that I treasured dearly because I had never been to Disney World) WAS BROKEN.

SDC12232.jpg

I was sad, but let's be real. It's actually pretty funny. The pen still worked and there wasn't ink all over my stuff, so it was fine. Oh and by the way, I never ended up taking notes, ever. Hahaha I guess I just didn't want to use a broken pen?

Soon after, our awesome waitress Herlina came back and took our dessert order. After she wrote it down, she looked up and she asked us, "So where do you all work?"

...

Uhhh what?

That seemed like a very random question. We were all looking at each other, and none of us really knew what to say.

So finally Ryan said, "Well... we're from Virginia!"

And Herlina goes...

"Oh... wait... you guys are cast members... right?"

Hahahaha! NOPE! Even so, I was very flattered by that! I totally want to be a CM. Seriously. So, THANK YOU HERLINA! :worship: She then told us all about being a CM and that we would all make great ones! Awww!

So after all that, our dessert came out! The lights in the restaurant started flashing. Everyone was staring at us. Herlina made an announcement to the whole restaurant. "...and a WHOLE CAN of whipped cream!"

"A WHOLE CAN?!?!"

Oh no big deal, just your average, ordinary, every day...

KITCHEN SINK.

Yeah, we did.

I was actually scared!

401766_10151077682390177_820575176_22144598_147921899_n-1.jpg

(Look, there's my face over the ice cream. Hahaha. Now Amanda's the one who looks scared!)

400499_10151077682135177_820575176_22144596_353538672_n.jpg

Herlina gave us our own little individual bowls, and we just WENT for it. I dug out an entire brownie. That thing could feed an army. IT WAS DELICIOUS! I'm not a fan of cherries, so I avoided those, but everything else was great.

It had: mint chocolate chip, coffee, strawberry, vanilla, and chocolate ice cream, pound cake, cookies, (I never made it to either of those), brownies, and just all kinds of stuff. I think there was even pieces of candy bar in there. It was hard to keep track!

I DO know that the area I was eating from had peanut butter sauce around it, so I was a happy camper. I LOVE peanut butter sauce!

We asked Herlina to split the cost between all of our checks, so we each payed $4.80 for it. That isn't bad AT ALL, when you think about the fact that we would have payed a lot more than that if we had all gotten individual sundaes. So basically, it was well worth the cost!

Even with five of us though, we couldn't finish it! None of us wanted to get sick after all! But one of these days I'm gonna attempt this again with a bigger group, and we WILL finish. WHO'S WITH ME?!

HAHAHA laughing fit. :rotfl2: That's awesome. I feel like that was probably a fantastic moment.

THE BEACH CLUB IS MY DREAM RESORT TOO! I have never stayed there. I have wanted to since I was in like 5th or 6th grade and it just hasn't happened yet! (I'm sure it will within the next few years! I am making it a priority hehe :p)

Make a note to try Cape May for dinner sometime. It's AMAZING. I will do a review of that in my trip report (but who knows how long it will take me to get there. :rotfl:) But trust me - it's SO FREAKING GOOD.

AWW you guys must have looked like a group of CP kids! I see those all over the place all of the time - it's awesome that she thought you guys worked there!! The College Program CM's always "play" in the parks/explore the resorts whenever they have time off. I could imagine CP's would go to B&C all of the time because it's SO good and it's not super duper expensive!

Holy Canoli the KITCHEN SINK. I need to try that someday when I go with enough people. It is the most beautiful creation I have ever seen.

Fabulous update - you were right! I loved it! :goodvibes

I guessed it right that y'all were going to Beach Club to go eat at Beaches & Cream! Do I win a prize? :lmao:

We are planning to eat there one night on our next trip & I can't wait! Although, I don't think we'll be attempting to conquer the Kitchen Sink. I think we're going to try the No Way Jose sundae.

Y'all definitely accomplished a lot in the park! I agree with you - the best days to go to MK are on party days. That'll be my plan for Deember! :thumbsup2

It's hard NOT to laugh when someone (stranger or not) gets into a laughing fit! That's cute that the lady & her husband were having such a fun time! :goodvibes

Yay the Beach Club!!! I love it there! Every time I go there, I want to stay there again! Isn't the carousel so pretty? I just can't believe they make that thing out of gingerbread!

Yum I love Beaches and Cream! The kitchen sink looks crazy! If I ever go with a group of people, I'd love to try it! I don't really like that they announce it to the whole restaurant, though! :rotfl:

Another Beach Club fan here. :cool2: We have never stayed there, but we visit regularly. So pretty!
You will love your Cape May breakfast. One of our best ever - great food and fun characters.

Love love love the Beach Club. And I love Beaches and Cream. On my February trip, my brother and I ate there twice because it was so yummy.

I don't know, when I saw that kitchen sink, all I could think about was Bill and Ted's Excellent Adventure. "Ziggy piggy, ziggy piggy!" :lmao:

Oh. My. Goodness! I'm pretty sure I just licked my computer screen!! That looks soooo amazing!!!!! Ok, that one's on the list for next time! I love the BC too! I really want to stay there someday!! The pool is amazing!! :thumbsup2 That Gingerbread House looks so delish!! I wish I could visit during Christmas! Oh, and that is HILARIOUS about that woman on the bus!!! I would have DIED laughing!!!!! :lmao: And that is awesome about the waitress! I would have loved to be mistaken as a CM!! :goodvibes

HAHAHA!!! Oh my gosh, that lady.... It was so funny! Poor Ryan was crying because he was laughing so hard. Beach Club's on my list too. One day! That pool was pretty cool looking. I was so happy that they were playing The Muppet's Christmas Carol! I seriously love that movie and can watch it any time of year. Beaches N' Cream = legit! So glad we tried it and the Kitchen Sink! Thanks Samantha Brown :) (my hero!) I think that video should go up just for fun sometime.
