Would love ideas for two adults with four hours of babysitting. :) let's say we are at the poly and drop them off at their childcare center. What would you do? Just a nice dinner? Park time? Something else in Orlando? We won't be going to fort wilderness since that seems too time consuming. But otherwise open to suggestions! We've done and loved dinner and wishes at Cali grill. Other ideas? Park or resort!

We're thinking of doing the same thing. We might do a dinner at Sanaa or an adult beverage-imbibing evening at Epcot. :)

So if we do adult drink crawl and show up drunk to get the kids....lol. Nah we wouldn't do that :). I think Epcot or maybe if we do dinner artists point and a resort stroll are more adult options. Pa of me wants to go too universal for horror nights but I don't think we can pay for longer babysitting. My mom might come with us so maybe I will although my daughter is really excited about going to the babysitting. So funny.

I would do dinner at a monorail resort and then hit up MK! Then you're not wasting time traveling to/from the parks, but you still get to do a lot. You could also just visit the lounges at a few resorts for drinks and appetizers!

We have a 5 yr old so since he's to your we planned a in room babysitter and are doing the snorkeling at Epcot :) so excited

We did it last August! We were staying at Poly so we dropped the kids off at The Neverland Club one evening at 5:30. Then hubby and I went to Epcot for our ADR at La Hacienda and some drinking around the world. Picked the kids up at 9:30.

Another night (we were there for 9 nights) we went to Animal Kingdom Lodge, walked around the hotel, then dropped the kids off at Simba Club for 2 hours while we had dinner at Sanaa.

Jiko is a great place for a romantic dinner! I think it depends on what y'all enjoy and what time you have to pick up. Could you make an ADR at one of the Epcot restaurants and enjoy Illuminations together? Maybe a dessert party? We have 4 kids, so that's something that we would do (and have done) only without kids. Whatever you decide, I hope you have a lovely, romantic time!

My lil guy is only 3 and only 37 inches so I would drop him off and go hit the mountains, Mine train and maybe even sneak over to DHS for RaRC.

We would probably do dinner someplace "nice" and wander around MK.

I am actually thinking of leaving dd who is four with a sitter one night so dh and I can go back to MK with our 11 year old and see the fireworks and run from ride to ride. Dd is fun and great, but also whiny and a total drag on moving fast anywhere, because, you know, she's four. And I think dh and ds will end up doing a lot of the "big" rides, etc together while dd and I do characters and such. I was feeling a little like I might be kind of left out the disney with ds experience. Sitter one night seems like a good solution.

I would love it if people would report back on their babysitting experiences. We are stay in at POR and this would be at dd's bedtime so I would need an in-room sitter. . . .

I'm not a parent, but I think you should do a nice dinner that the two of you perhaps wouldn't normally do with kids...maybe something romantic, quiet, or something with a more adventurous menu.

Or, head to DTD and have dinner and watch La Nouba.

Or, if your child(ren) is younger, ride the rides they don't like doing if there are any.

You could stroll the Boardwalk, watch fireworks/parade, or maybe there is an evening event like wine tasting you may be interested in.

I agree you wouldn't want to drink too much since you'd still have to pick up the kids! I think I would stay on-site since there are so many different choices in activities.

Start a flash mob of new unparents... Dancing our way into four hours of bliss!,:cool1::banana::yay:

Actually dinner at Victoria and Alberts would be nice too!

Well, back in the good ole days of Pleasure Island, 4 hours would be just enough time to catch one of the shows at the Improv, then zip on over to the Adventurer's Club for a few drinks and two shows.

But now....

My pick would be to drink and snack around the world at Epcot.

When are you going? If in the fall you have the F&W kiosks you can try out and if Holiday time you could catch the Candlelight Processional.

We have done both of those with the kids at the club at Beach Club. We have also used Simba's cubhouse at AKL and had a nice dinner at Jiko.

Flash mob! Hilarious! My mom was wiht us last November and my husband and I got to go to the Cali grill it was romantic and fun! We did wish we could have had some park time though so Epcot might be the perfect mix. We will be there during food and wine, October. Great ideas!!! I think Victoria and Alberts will be too expensive but maybe we will win the lottery! Lol it's taking me the next two years just to save for this big trip :)

We've done this twice, both times we left the kids at the Neverland Club. Once, when they were very young, we went to MK and rode rides and enjoyed Wishes. They would have just been grumpy and loved being at the Neverland Club. The second time, we went to EPCOT World Showcase, enjoying a few margaritas at La Cava de Tequila first.
