We ordered our AP vouchers in advance so we could take advantage of the DVC discount. I just happened to notice that it says the voucher can be activated at MGM, AK, Epcot and the Ticket Center.

We are arriving late afternoon on a Friday and checking into CBR. We were planning on heading straight to the MK as we have first timers with us who will be raring to go.

Are the ticket windows no longer open at the MK? Since we are using Disney transportation, we would have to go out of our way to get to the T&TC to activate our passes. I know in July 2003 we were able to activate our passes at the MK. Just wondering what others have experienced.

Last year we activiated our AP's at Guest Services at MK. I can'r imagine that they would change it to the TTC.

It just seemed odd because they didn't list MK on the back of the voucher, only the T&TC. Normally I wouldn't even have noticed, but when I orded my DDE card, I had to read the number off the voucher and noticed it then. Just don't want to schlepp all over the place with first timers.

Yes, you can activate your pass at the MK Guest Relations window.

We arrived in March for our pass and it was later in the evening and the TTC ticket offices had closed so we went to the MK guest center and they just did it. NO prob.

We have activated our APs at MK before. Actually I activated one and bought 3 more at the same time for the rest of the family with no problem.

yeah you can actually buy them there too, as we did we well.

The reason Guest Relations is not listed on there is just that, it is GUEST RELATIONS, not a TICKET WINDOW. We try to strongly discourage Guests from going to GR with ticket issues because that is what the Ticket Windows are for. GR is for Guest issues, complaints, refunds, etc etc etc. If you are by-passing the TTC (which it sounds like you are) by all means, please do use GR. But, we find that most Guests feel they need to go to GR for the simplest ticket matters when they really do not. It lets GR spend more time on GR issues and not just tickets, which could have been done elsewhere.

No flames please, just stating the facts I deal with everyday.

I have a voucher in front of me and is says "Transportation and Ticket Center at the Magic Kingdom Park".

That is exactly what our PAP vouchers say. I was hoping to go directly to MK that evening when we arrive as we have an 8pm PS at LTT and it's EMH also. So, I'm guessing from the previous posts I have a couple options.

1. Go to TTC and activate the PAP if we arrive at a time when they are open...we may not get to the area until 7pm since we arrive MCO at 3:30pm, town car to OKW with a grocery stop, and then get checked in, and then finally to play!!

2. By pass the TTC and go directly to MK's Guest Relations since they can take care of activating the PAP, but prefer not to so they can deal with more Guest relation issues...understandable since that is their job.

Anyone hear different? I'd love to know...

Gee, I work there - what was the issue with your tix? There are some things we cannot do.

This makes me feel better. I have a feeling once we get to the MK, my niece is not going to want to wait for us to monorail around to the T&TC to activate the AP's. We will check guest relations first. Thanks for all the replies....

I wanted to buy an AP with a DVC discount and the girl working told me they couldn't do it and the guest relations windows were really the best places to get tickets because they can do everything and the TTC is limited!!!

I wasn't doubting what you said and it actually makes sense - I have just become amazed at the amount of misinformation that CM give out - I have really learned that you can't always trust a CM

We just activated our AP's at the Magic Kingdom this past Saturday (May 7th), all went fine. :earsboy:

Another reason (such as myself) that people go to the MK GR window for help is because the TTC windows close really early. We went and it wasnt even dark yet and the TTC windows were closed.

Hey all,

I have a question on a related topic. I just bought annual passes from my local AAA office and we are going to be making a trip up next weekend for my birthday (it's actually Thursday but you know how it is). We are going to spend Saturday and Sunday in the park and come home Sunday night. We are debating driving up Friday night and getting in late just so we can go straight to the parks Saturday morning without having to drive up. Where in Disney (or outside for that matter) is open the latest for getting our AP vouchers converted to regular passes (and what time is that)? If we can get that out of the way Friday night it would make Saturday that much quicker.

We still may go up Saturday morning anyway and just plan another weekend in the near future to go out and stay another night. Depends on what we end up finding with the AP discount. Right now the best they can offer for next weekend is $109 a night at the all-star! lol . . .must be a view of mickeys giant head or something, I didn't think the allstar had suites.

Oh and we are coming from Miami, so it's only about 3 hours so thats why we don't mind the drive all that much. Besides the gas it's not bad at all.

Thanks in advance all and God's blessings!

- J

Yes, DVC discounted APs are one of the things we cannot do - I don't know why. :confused3 I actually had a woman SCREAMING at me a couple weeks back that YES WE COULD DO IT AND I JUST DIDN'T KNOW HOW TO DO MY JOB! Gee, thanks lady! (I sure hope that wasn't you, lol! :rotfl: )

Yes, we do close early for safety reasons. Usually 5 hours before park closing, but usually not earlier than 4 or 5. :earsboy:
