You can rent a car at the Dolphin????

i have been on the disboards for over ten years and I must admit I still learn something new everyday.

Can someone give me details on car rental at the Dolphin? TIA.

What kind of details? Alamo/National have (has?) a rental counter inside the Dolphin. As with any car rental, you get the best pricing with an advance reservation.

We have rented from the airport before and then dropped off at the Dolphin. We use National.

Last time we went, we had a free one day rental and ended up renting from the Dolphin for one day to get back to the airport instead of using ME. The problem with getting a car there is that the selection is very limited. We got a pretty crappy car that didn't even have power windows or locks. It is better to get the car at the airport because the selection is much better and then use the Dolphin as a drop off. The counter is located just inside the hotel and the valet usually takes it and parks it for you.

We also used a free one day coupon from National to get back to the airport. We lucked out and got a brand new Rav4. They assign you the car. We were pleased with the service. After you present your credentials, they give you a slip to give to the Valet. Valet will bring you the car. We tip the valet when he gives us the keys. We have rented from the Dolphin several times.

Thank you all...I didn't know we could do that. I think I'll look into it...we need a car this next trip and just leaving it at the Dolphin sounds wonderful.

You can also rent/drop off at the car care center in WDW; they will pick you up at your resort and take you back when dropping the car off. It is also National/Alamo.
