Hello everyone! Personal responses coming later, but I had to jump in here and put up some baby pictures!

I posted this over on the DIS Dad's Club, but I repost here for those that don't follow over there:

For those not aware, Ryder was not breathing when he was born. Nurses started chest compressions and an oxygen bag. The NICU team was in the room in short order (the doc later said a door was stuck/locked so he jumped through a window to get there. ) They got him breathing and rushed him up to the NICU. I was allowed up about 45 minutes later (Bambi had the epidural, so she couldn't go yet) He was hooked up to some monitors but looked fine and was turning the nice pink color that babies are supposed to be. He has tested positive for a GSB infection. Anyway, he's going great. Eating good, loving he attention from his big sister and big brother. He needs to stay here to have a 10-day course of antibiotics to make sure the infection is completely gone. That should put him coming home on Easter Sunday or possibly Saturday night, depending on if they can speed up the doses or not.

Ryder is absolutely precious ! What a cutie pie. I'm so glad he is doing great after such a scary beginning. He's a lucky little guy to be joining such a nice family.:)

I am joining in just in time for the Ryder arrival!! What a cutie!!
Now get back to writing...after you change that diaper! :surfweb:

What a scary beginning! I'm so happy to hear that he doing better! He is absolutely adorable!!! :goodvibes

Glad everything is going well for him after a scary start. He is so alert in that close up picture. Congratulations again on such a cutie.

What a scary experience! I'm glad everything worked out well and he's recovering. I love that you're both wearing WDW shirts in your pics too! :goodvibes

Congratulations!!! He's beautiful!

I'm sorry to hear about those first few scary house of life! I hope everything continues to stay calm from here on out. Lots of love and luck with the new little one!

I am a long-time lurker and sometimes commenter of your trip reports. Congrats to your family on the arrival of baby Ryder!

Well, I'm back at work (at least for two days) so I'm going to take a break from the two weeks of paperwork and crud that had accumulated on my desk and escape here for a little while.

I hope Ryder comes soon!!!! :wizard:
Clearly, I've been away for a while, since he's now 2 1/2 weeks old. :yay:
Awww, those last Disney moments are the worst, aren't they?? Glad to hear that you had an uneventful rest of your journey that night!
Shakespeare said "Parting is such sweet sorrow". Clearly he's never been to Disney, otherwise he would have said "Leaving sucks."

Not to mention you had a pregnant woman in your party. Don't mess with a pregnant woman's Dole Whip.
I'd rather wade into a Florida swamp to retrieve a golf ball.
No, seriously. Those things are expensive.

What witchcraft is this?!

She has proven to be adept at evasive maneuvers.
Pixie Dust!pixiedust:

While trying not to trip on all those bubbles. I've done that slow walk before, minus the bubbles.
The bubbles actually help. A little bit.

Maybe the PP photographer could have just run around behind you guys to take the picture. That would teach him.
Yes! Then we would be able to remember that time we all stared at the train station!

::yes:: I want a close-up of the back of my son's head!
He'd actually like that picture one day. Because if he's anything like his daddy, he won't have hair there for long. :sad2:

Surely you had the camera on a remote set-up here, and wouldn't resort to riding illegally. :rolleyes1
What's the statue of limitations on riding illegally? I might be able to admit something, but I need to consult a Florida law book first.
Wow, that's almost Disney-esque customer service.
I was quite impressed.
And the cookies were good, too.

Did you join them? Madison would have had them eating out of her hand in under 10 minutes.
She'd probably convince them to put pink and purple streamers on the Harley handlebars when they got home. :thumbsup2

You'd think Evan would have picked up on it, at least.
I'm going to have to send that boy to a "retraining" session. :rolleyes1

Wearing your flippy-floppies?
And riding a dolphin, yo.

I feel so bad for Bambi. Those last couple of weeks are just miserable. You just can't get comfortable. It won't be long, now, though.
Not long at all - less than 48 hours after you posted this. :thumbsup2
Hoping you get some boat footage posted before we leave ..... in 10 days !!!
Ummm...sorry about that. :sad2:

How'd you like the cruise?

Hi, Barry. I know I've popped in periodically on your other TRs, but I guess I've been more of a lurker than a commenter, so just thought I'd pop in and let you know I'm still here and have been enjoying your reports! Excited to hear about your cruise!
Nice to see you around again!
Congrats to your family on the soon-to-be addition of Ryder! I hope he decides to make his entrance soon! We're a few months behind you and it's funny that Bambi was about 17 weeks on the cruise, as I'm just about to that point and would LOVE to go on a cruise right about now. However, I think we're saving our vacation fund for 2013 and taking the baby to WDW instead...I look forward to your future reports to see how baby Ryder likes the place! And, for now, I'll live vicariously though your cruise.
Congratulations!
We had Madison at WDW at 7 weeks and Evan at 1 year. Ryder will be 5 months for his first visit, so having a baby at WDW is totally doable! I'll be sure to add plenty of baby tips to my next TR!
On a side note, I don't know if Bambi has had the frequent and vivid "pregnancy dreams", but I've now learned what happens with them when I catch up on this and your last TR right before bed (last night). Dreamt that DH and I just happened to be in WI and you and Bambi just happened to be hosting a DIS-meet at your place. :rotfl: Woke up wondering why I felt like I'd been chatting with Bambi...funny!
Too funny! But feel free to stop by at anytime!
Bambi had a lot of dreams about Evan when she was pregnant with him, but not many about Ryder. She was getting worried, but it looks like everything has turned out all right with the little guy.

I hope Ryder makes his entrance soon. Those last few weeks of waiting are murder.
Sooner that we thought!
Love the MK pictures. Well, all except for the little boy in green who wouldn't pose for the pictures. :rotfl:
It wasn't the first time. We have a lot of family pictures with the back of his head. Heat + exhaustion = no fun for pictures.
Cute picture of the three of you on Splash.
Thank you!
Great day in MK and its sounds like you got to the Port in plenty of time to enjoy dinner and relax. That was great that they arranged a cab for you because what's up with the 2pm departure to the ship. Yikes.
It would have gotten us there in plenty of time - you have to be on board by 3:30 or so - but we wanted as much time on the boat as we could.
Really looking forward to reading about cruise.
I'm looking forward to having time to write about it! :rotfl2:
I guess I joined too late to get the finger joke. :confused3
It's nothing specific to this TR. Have you never heard of the "Pull my finger" gag? It involves precise timing and control, but when done right, you extend your finger to an unwitting victim and ask them to pull it. As soon as they do, you let out a little - um, flatulence.
Juvenile? Yes.
Crude? Totally.
Funny? Every. Single. Time.

Great update. Hope to hear some baby news soon.
Thanks!

I am so glad I finally logged on today! Not only to see your TR (I'm a sucker for your TR's), but to see that you are expecting! Congratulations, and I hope that Ryder makes his entrance soon!
Thanks - glad you found it! He's here now and will hopefully allow me some time to write. But it is hard to type with a sleeping infant on your chest...

The only time that leaving Disney is fun is when you know you're headed to the Mickey boat! :thumbsup2 I bet you would've been surprised if those bikers would've shown up on the Mickey boat with y'all! :lmao: Can't wait to hear all about the cruise.
That would have been ... interesting. I asked one of them what ship they were on. She said Carnival. Or maybe Celebrity. She didn't know - she just knew when to show up for the bus to the port!

She's very talented.
She's been working on a rabbit out of a hat trick, it but keeps turning out to be a dove. Not sure where she's going wrong...
I know that walk all too well.
Disney needs to provide a service where they have a goon smack you on the head, drag your unconscious body out of the park and into your car. Yeah, you wake up with a massive headache, but you get to avoid that last walk out of the park.
You just found the solution to your "moving to Orlando" dilemma. You can get a job teaching the Photopass Photographers the finer points of taking a picture. And you can photoshop stuff into or out of random pictures in your free time. A little bit of extra magic when people get their CD.:rolleyes1 :lmao:
"Honey, why is Tu Pac flashing gang signs next to us in our Photopass picture?"

Which is much better than hearing "are we there yet?" approximately 293,201,458 times.
Amen, brother Andy. :worship::worship:

I thought it was just because FreezinRafiki always stays at Country Inn & Suites.:confused3
I go on Priceline.com and hotels bid to have me stay there. True Story.

That ain't right. Why do they even let you select a time when you do online check in, then? Shouldn't they kind of warn you that's how they do it? At least they made it right.
I can see where they're coming from - if everyone at the hotel did online check-in for say, 11am, there would be no way they could get everyone there at the right time. First come, first served is much easier for them. But it was awesome that they comped the taxi ride there.

And now we know the true reason why you picked the Country Inn & Suites.
That and the Hotel Coral Essex was all booked up. Even the Rickey Ricardo Suite.

Was anyone wearing both?:confused3
No, but one did have a t-shirt that had "If you can read this, Minnie fell off" on the back.

And what business are you speaking of?
DJing, of course.
That kid has super powers!
We just took the hospital's word for it that she's from this planet. We have no proof.
Awww.... Now I'm getting sad. :sad1:
Yes, my writing has a way of depressing people.
Maybe they want you to remember how clean the ground is?
Freshly swept! And no gum stains!

LOL... So you had the waaaaay back seat? Your family knows where you belong! :rotfl:
Let's look at the options:
The 57 year old with the bad back,
The 53 year old with the bad knees,
The pregnant lady,
The 7 year old,
the 5 year old,
or the chiseled, god-like physique of the 33 year old.

It's really a no-brainer.

Thanks Tim. Now my TR has an NC-17 rating! :rotfl2:

Ryder has arrived into the world!
Kathy - thanks for spreading the word! :thumbsup2

Congratulations! Welcome to the world, Ryder!

Congrats, and welcome Ryder!!! :cool1:

OK, I know I promised personalized responses, but really, the sheer number of you that offered your congratulations is overwhelming! Bambi and I are grateful for each and every one of them and feel blessed that so many people care about us. So a giant Thank You! to everybody!

Ryder is absolutely precious ! What a cutie pie. I'm so glad he is doing great after such a scary beginning. He's a lucky little guy to be joining such a nice family.:)
Thanks! He's going great now, and Big Sister and Brother are very happy to have him around!

Ryder is sooo beautiful! I'm glad he will be home soon after such a scary delivery.
Thanks! It was a long 10 days, but it made for a wonderful Easter to be able to bring him home!

What a gorgeous little man! Thank goodness he is doing so well. :lovestruc
Thank you! He gets his good looks from his mother.

How scary! I am so glad that he is doing better. He is beautiful!
Thank you. It was a rough time, but we're all together now.

I am joining in just in time for the Ryder arrival!! What a cutie!!
Now get back to writing...after you change that diaper! :surfweb:
Thanks and welcome! How'd you know he needed a diaper change. Must have been coincidence, since he always needs a diaper change. :rotfl2:

What a scary beginning! I'm so happy to hear that he doing better! He is absolutely adorable!!! :goodvibes
Thank you! He really gave us a scare, he's all good now.

He is adorable! Congratulations! So when is Ryders 1st Disney trip???? :)
Thank you! We are going down in August for a friend's Disney Wedding. I'm sure I'll have a full TR about it. :thumbsup2

Glad everything is going well for him after a scary start. He is so alert in that close up picture. Congratulations again on such a cutie.
Thank you! He really has bright eyes and like to take everything in.

Congratulations!! He is a cutie.

What a scary experience! I'm glad everything worked out well and he's recovering. I love that you're both wearing WDW shirts in your pics too! :goodvibes
With the wardrobes we have, we'd be hard pressed to not be wearing WDW gear! :rotfl2:

Congratulations!!! He's beautiful!

I'm sorry to hear about those first few scary house of life! I hope everything continues to stay calm from here on out. Lots of love and luck with the new little one!
Thank you! Both the NICU doctor and pediatrician gave him a clean bill of health! :thumbsup2
