What part of extreme Ohio are you from? I grew up right around there...went to school, etc. I have since transplanted to Indiana, but still have family there, and ocassionaly I get to go back for a visit.

I am from Lake County (grew up in Willowick, DH grew up + teaches now in Wickliffe, we live in Mentor on the Lake.)
I love, love, love the ever-changing lake effect weather! (call me nuts!)

Did I read this right??? Soarin' is OPEN??!! I had already resigned myself to the fact that we were missing it by a month and would have to wait till next year!

If you see a makeshift rope queue near the Imagination bathrooms, there is a good chance for previews to be taking place. They usually occur in the afternoon, and won't happen on weekends (as I learned when I went to Epcot on Sunday.)

If The Land is open when you go to WDW, I would not be surprised if Soarin' has a much broader window of previews. (just my speculation.)

We wre there 3/12 - 3/19 and I would say the crowds were moderate (busy, but I've seen worse); rain kept many at bay. Poly staff did say they were expecting record crowds the following week...

Grew up in Ashtabula. Went to High School at Ashtabula Harbor. I went to Mentor a lot when I was growing up. We didn't have much shopping or a lot to do while I was in High School, so road trips to the Mentor Mall/Great Lakes Mall were a must.

When my mom remarried a couple of yrs ago, she lived with her new hubby in Ashtabula. Place is really growing, lol.

Has anyone used the Evening extra magic hours recently? We leave in 1 week on Mar. 29th-April 3rd. We are planning to go to MK from 12-3 am. I am hoping even though it will be crowded it will not be horrible then. What can we expect for waits that late? We were there in Jan. and there was no wait at all during the late hours.
