YOLO Part Cruise: Land, Sea and Halloween! Updatedx2 4/27 TRIP VIDEO

See Ya Real Soon Breakfast
It was our last morning on the Dream and it was off to a rocky start.
We woke up at 6:30 and had to be down to breakfast at 6:45 with all our things.
Fun thing about a cruise is that once you leave your stateroom for breakfast you don’t go back and you bring EVERYTHING you have down to breakfast with you.

However we made it to the Royal Palace on time and tried to put all our carry ons in a place where people wouldn’t be tripping over them.
We were all a bunch of cheery people so early in the morning

Poor Jackson was not use to the whole not sleeping on a Disney vacation

We were giving the cutest and saddest menu yet

At 6:45 in the morning I couldn’t even think about eating such a big breakfast. I love to eat but not so early in the morning. But it was the last meal we had before we got to Disney World, so eat up!

While we waited for our breakfast we had to keep ourselves entertained as well as keep ourselves awake. So we did some Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious spelling

A lot of us ended up getting a waffle and pancake meal. There was a lot of fluffy goodness but I’m pretty sure I only ate the chocolate chip pancake.

We all enjoyed our last meal together before it was time to get off the ship

At 7 Andy ran up to shutters to get our photo.
Then we gave Stephanie and Holly their tip packets.
Our breakfast came to an end and it was time to say our goodbyes to Stephanie and Holly. They were wonderful!

Right after you finished breakfast you get in line to exit the ship...probably the most saddest part of the entire trip.

Saying Goodbye To The Dream
We waited in the main atrium to get off the boat, it was literally the saddest part ever.
Goodbye Dream, its been a wonderful time!

Goodbye Halloween Tree

It seemed like we weren’t getting off the ship anytime soon, so we did what we do best…be that tree!

It was finally that time we all dreaded, we departed the boat with sadness. But after this trip we knew we would be coming back as soon as we could.
See Ya Real Soon!

We took esculators down to where our luggage was stored. Which was a HUGE storage room with tables filled with luggage. The only picture I could take while going down the eculators because cameras and videos were no permitted

Bascically you remember the luggage tag they gave you, we had Mickey so we went to the Mickey Section. Then it was a scavenger hunt to find your bags in like hundres of luggage. Luckily mine were both together, some weren’t that lucky. After every found their luggage we hopped in the longest line I think I have ever been in. It was not a fun experience what so ever.
We finally got to security and after a couple questions we were able to leave.

Once we got outside it was the fun time of trying to figure out where we had to be to get back on the disboards bus back to WDW.

We made ourselves comfortable outside of the gates

While we waited we took the time to welcome back social media back into our lives and bombarded instagram with photos.

Our disboards all found each other and waited for our happy limo to arrive.
Before we boarded we took a photo with the people who made this trip a real thing and who helped us onto this lovely DVC event, Posin Ivy and Johnny Quest

We will forever be grateful!

It was time to load up the bus and head back to the most magical place on earth.
We hit the road and took one last look at the Dream

The bus ride back was uneventful, I slept most of the way. I woke up when we made our first stop at the airport, it was FREEZING on the bus. Somehow I fell back asleep through the cold and woke up when we were pulling into Saratoga.

After Saratoga we went to Old Key West, then to our stop Fort Wilderness!

Sad leaving the ship, but not a bad consolation going to WDW. Let the adventure continue!!!

Awww, so sad leaving the ship. At least the trip was not over and you still had some WDW to look forward to! I'm sure that was a nice buffer.

The procedure to get off the ship and collect your luggage sounds so interesting as I've never heard/read about that stuff before! I can't imagine just how sad it was to have to leave the ship, but yay for some WDW time! It would be horrid to have to go to the airport and fly home right away.

NOOO! The cruise can't be over! So sad :(
Can't wait to hear about the rest of the trip though!

Great TR so far! Loved the Dream and can't wait for October when DW and I will cruise. Looking forward to more from you on this TR!! :thumbsup2

Thanks for all the great cruise pics, it brought back great memories. We were thrilled with our first DVC cruise, so much so, that it had a starring role on our Christmas Card !

True a couple days at Disney World can mend a heart! And of course there are some crazy adventures still left!

Awww, so sad leaving the ship. At least the trip was not over and you still had some WDW to look forward to! I'm sure that was a nice buffer.

I didn't want to get off the ship! However MNSSHP was calling our names!

It was weird actually going through it because I have also never read about it. I guess I just assumed that you took your luggage off when you got off. I would be so sad if I had to go home that afternoon.

Can't wait to hear about the rest of the trip though!

I wish it wasn't so but sadly it is. How I wish I could be on the Dream right now!

Great TR so far! Loved the Dream and can't wait for October when DW and I will cruise. Looking forward to more from you on this TR!! :thumbsup2

Thank you so much! I hope you enjoy your cruise just like we did. I love cruising so much! It's nice to have everything included and not having to worry about paying for things.

Thank you so much for reading along! It was such a great cruise! I approve of your Christmas cards!

Our Adventure At Fort Wilderness Begins Here

Fort Wilderness is our home, while many people are not a fan of the layout or bus transportation, we love it. Gma took her children there when they went down the first time. Ma loved it so much she brought her children there.

Unfortunately when Kiss was born our family was to big of a size so we had to say goodbye to Fort Wilderness and say hello to off property.
So coming back to Fort Wilderness was pretty exciting after all these years. We visited many times throughout the years, but it was going to be nice to actually stay in a cabin.

We arrived and had to take our luggage off the Happy Limo Bus. We had SO MUCH luggage. I guess that’s what happens when everyone brings 2 suitcases with them.
We rolled our way over to the check in building and piled our stuff outside

There check in sign was precious

Unfortunately at this time Fort Wilderness wasn’t participating in Magic Bands so we got our key to the world cards.
While Ma was checking us in, I took Gma to get her scooter for the rest of our stay.

I headed back into the check in building where Danielle got some balloons from a cast member. While we waited for Ma to finish an angry couple yelling at a CM entertained me. I’m not sure what the whole problem was but the husband was yelling at the CM saying that he said a paper with another CM and that they caused this whole problem. Whatever the case may be the CM was very calm about that whole situation.

We ended up leaving before the fight was resolved. A van came to take some of us to the cabins as well as all our luggage. Alicia, Andy, Brittany, Kiss and I decided we would walk and ride Gma’s scooter to our cabin.

Our adventure through Fort Wilderness started off to a rocky start, the scooter was going as slow as a snail on the highest level. We thought we were given a broken one. This made us all somewhat crabby. We finally got it to work and while Alicia and Brittany fooled around the 3 of us walked fast so we could just get to the cabin.

The signs here are too cute

With one more turn we arrived to our new home

We found our loop, Bobcat Bend

Ma requested this loop because there was a restroom building with extra showers because 2 bathrooms for 10 people can be annoying…but we never used the extra buildings showers.
Our cabins were literally in such a great location, we had the first 2 cabins of the loop and the bus stop was right across the street. I don’t know we could have asked for anything better.

Ma, Pa, Danielle, Adam and Kiss were in one cabin
While Alicia, Andy, Brittany, Gma and I were in another.

When you walk in you enter the kitchen area. There is a dining table and a full kitchen with a stove, oven, fridge/freezer, and dishwasher. Then there is also a couch and tv, along with a Murphy bed that comes down from the wall.

Then there is a little hallway that leads to the back bedroom. Before that there is a bathroom, which I don’t have a photo of.
The back bedroom includes a full bed

and bunkbeds

As well as a closet and a counter/mirror area.
For a moderate resort you get more room than the average resort room. Plus it feels homey

Reunited With Them Ghosts!

We didn’t stay to long at the cabin because for some of us the parks were calling our names. Unfortunately only Alicia, Andy, Brittany and myself headed to the parks because we had passes. We didn’t have a whole lot of time because we had to meet the fam for dinner that night.

We grabbed our stuff and headed over to the bus stopped across the street.

True life the whole bus situation with Purple and Orange routes still get me confused but somehow we found our way. A bus picked us up and we waited for another bus to take us to Hollywood Studios

Some people don’t like Fort Wilderness for their bus transportation, since it has internal and external busses, so you take a bus to the front or back of the resort to catch another bus or boat to the parks. It was bad at all though.

On the bus ride we tried to figure out where we wanted to eat lunch. Normally we would go to Pizza Planet because its delicious and inside but there was one lunch I have been dying to try for a while.

We arrived at Hollywood Studios, went through bag check and made our way down Sunset Boulevard.

Brittany asked me why I even bothered to take that picture because we have literally a hundred of the same photo from past trips. Its just second nature to do so. Haters gonna hate

We chose to eat at Fairfax because I was dying to try the mac and cheese hotdog.
While we ordered Alicia and Andy went to get us ToT fastpasses.

Post disney cruise sucks for the fact that you actually have to pay for food, you can’t just order and go. My pin wasn’t working correctly (Which was literally the theme of the trip because we had 2 different pins that worked, I don’t know how that’s possible) and then the CM who was cashing me out had a phone call. So I stood there awkwardly waiting to see if the pin I typed in worked.

Alicia and Andy ended up eating at Rosies right behind Fairfax. Alicia however wanted the Halloween cupcake so a CM from Fairfax took her back to Rosies and gave her a cupcake. Ask and you shall receive.

I ate the whole entire thing, I regret nothing. It was so good!

Brittany was going to get the mac and cheese hotdog but changed her mind and got the Barbecued Pork and Coleslaw Gourmet Hot Dog.

These hotdogs are MESSY and being a messy eater already makes for one classy meal :rotfl:

I’m pretty sure we were all excited about the Halloween carrot cake cupcake because we fell in love with them last year.

By the time we finished eating it was time for us to use the FPs. We decided it would be best to wait a bit to let our stomachs digest. While we hung out we listened to the ending of Beauty and the Beast and saw Paige Turner AKA my favorite Citizen of Hollywood.

We couldn’t wait anymore, we were in desperate need to see “them ghosts”

ToT Elevator Selfie

According to my notes this was one of the best drop sequences and I wish I had a camera. So pretty much we SAW THEM GHOSTS! I really wish I could get a picture or video of them so I could show you all what we mean and why we get to excited about seeing THEM GHOSTS! All I can say is make sure you look really close in front of you during the drop sequence cause you may get a surprise!

We grabbed another FP and hit up RnR. We witnessed a poor child back out of the ride. Him and his family were entering their limo while this child just did not move. He waited to long and the gate closed in front of him. His dad was yelling at him saying “great look what you did, you ruined it”

We had about 15 minutes till we could use our FPs so we decided to just walk the park.
We headed towards Toy Story Mania and then down Streets of America to find them setting up the Osborn lights

It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas

We found ourselves going to watch the muppets.
Take my wife please!

At the end of the show I got a notification stating that Stephanie accepted my friend request. Then I got sad because I wanted to be back on the Dream.

After Muppets we headed back towards Sunset Boulevard, when we noticed the Citizens of Hollywood were out. So we found a seat on the curb and watched the end of the show.

Mimi Kaboom ended up wining and being the best joke teller

Ahhahaha yeah, I type comments up in word as I read TRs as an attempt to remember everything, and I had a lot to catch up on!
Awwe, I can imagine leaving a cruise would suck, but at least you have way more Disney ahead of you!!

I really like FW, I find that the layout is kinda insane, BUT, still awesome, and I like the camping aspect of it, how woodsy it is, makes me feel at home. I love woodsey places, lol!

Also these cabin posts have reminded me that with the 5ppl I have going in Sept a cabin is totally an option and I may or may not be pricing that out right now…

The mac & cheese hot dog is on my list of things to try, it just sounds incredible! Oh my gosh these ghosts, I NEED to see them next time!!

We have stayed at Fort Wilderness three times. Such good times. Except for this one night. My brother and his family were staying in the cabin next ot ours, so my wife decided to go over for a visit. She heard a commotion in the bushes and ran to their cabin and commenced to beat on the door. After several minutes they finally heard her and let her in. She was quite panicked they say. But we still kid her about Captain Hook's croc still waiting in those bushes for her to return. Another time on arrival day I was designated to go to Crockett's Tavern and bring back supper. Well I did. I had the chicken and all the fixings but I left my fanny pack with all our cash and all my son's cash on the bus. (Back in those days you had to bring all you do re mi with you.) Why I took the dang fanny pack off I don't know. I called and fortunately the bus driver had found it and turned it in. Nothing missing. God does look after idiots. Sorry about reminiscing, there are just so many memories from Fort Wilderness. It was also our first place to stay on Disney property. I will admit the bus situation can be confusing. But it ain't bad once you figure it out. Say that hot dog looks pretty good. Didn't know they made one with mac n cheese. Might have to put that on my list this time. "Take my wife please". The old Henny Youngman joke. I remember it from my Vaudeville days. I got 31 days till our trip. I will definately be looking for them ghosts. I didn't see them last trip; maybe they will materialize this one.

Aww, those childhood pictures at Fort Wilderness are precious! That's great that your family has kept up the tradition. It's actually one of the only places on WDW property I haven't been to yet, which really needs to change cause I am dying to go to Chip and Dale's Campfire Singalong!

Those Halloween cupcakes are my favorite. They were 2 for 1 last time I was in Disney cause it was the day after Halloween, so that was perfect.

Are you talking about the statues in the one elevator shaft of the ghosts? So few people know about that, it's not even on that one website with all the Tower info. I love it.

It was literally so sad. Maybe because I don't know when the next time I will be back on the boat will be.
I love FW and it's woody feel. I don't know how to describe it but just walking around the campgrounds makes me happy. YES! A cabin or AoA suite, I love both and its hard to decide because they are both perfect.
Mac and Cheese hot dog is on my list of things to get every trip. It was just so delicious.
Don't even get me started about them ghosts. The first time I saw them I pretty much pooped my pants. You have to let me know if you see them!

I would be so scared if I heard something in the bushes. I didn't leave my cabin at night...Kiss was the one to travel from cabin to cabin. Oh my gosh I would go into panic mode if I lost my money. I would probably just cry. Luckily you found it and everything was still there.
The hot dog was so good. I mean it has the best mac and cheese ever on top so that is always a plus. Keep an eye out for them ghosts. They are below the opening / camera part and above the bottom / lightning. For best viewing is front row and starting at the bottom so the sun doesn't affect your vision or riding it at night.

I love the Citizens of Hollywood, but it's strange that the "real" character is the ones I see first. I've had to get used to seeing that Mimi Kaboom because it's not the first one I ever saw when Howard was pulled to do the Matchmaker Game skit.

I am so glad you gave me a link to your video because I love watching the citizens of hollywood! Although I was a little bummed that Howard didn't choose paige turner. I must confess that your mimi kaboom is the one I couldn't stand. I had my mimi kaboom back in 2010 and when she was changed to yours I was heart broken because she just wasn't the same character as I remembered her

The campfire singalong is one of the best things to do outside of the park! It's also nice because so few people actually know it's there so it perfect for pictures with Chip and Dale.

YES!!!!! I read about it a few years back and each trip we keep our eyes out because so many people don't know about it. We once had a great drop sequence when they actually stopped us for a good second and lit them up, it was one of the scariest moments ever.

Welcome To Norway Beware Of Moose

It was time to head to the Hollywood Tower Hotel for one more ride.
While we were in line for our elevator a group of friends who would be sitting behind us noticed Brittany’s Toms. We started talking and they wanted some shoes. Since we had to board our elevator we said that we would meet up after the ride.

Well we did meet up with them in the gift shop and I gave them my instgram. We left them there to admirer the shoes and we left. We had places to be so we said goodbye to Hollywood Studios

We were going to walk to Epcot but the friendship boat was docked.

We decided to get off at the Yacht Club so we wouldn’t have to make each stop before Epcot.

The Epcot resorts are so beautiful and the area just puts me in a good mood.
I like how both Epcot and Hollywood Studios are in walking distance. However before I thought the beach area was nice but after the clear water I was not a fan of the dirty amoeba water.

We walked passed the Yacht club and Stormalong Bay, one day I will swim in that pool!
We arrived at the World showcase entrance and walked to the UK. Our main mission here was to see if they sold the tea that they had on the cruise. After browsing the shop there was no cruise tea available.

Alicia stopped to purchase a water before we walked to the other side of the showcase. We were on a mission and Norway was the place to go. Each time we walked through the gift shop Brittany and I always looked at the I love Norge shirts, so we decided to break down and purchase them. After being talked in to and then out, to back in, I decided to just purchase it because I wanted it for quite some time….YOLO.

While checking out Brittany was talking about her car troubles back at home and a CM named Martin told us how before we moved to Florida from Norway he hit a moose. So when he gets home he has to figure out what to do about his car situation.

On our way out of Epcot we discussed our costumes for next years MNSSHP, which was a pretty solid group idea. But let’s see if it actually happens.

As we walked to the bus stop Brittany and Andy were pretty much power walking.
Alicia told them to stand closer and told me that they were on a date….precious

We got on our motor coach and headed back to the Fort to get ready for some dinner.
And of course on our way there Alicia and Andy fell asleep…surprise surprise

Once we arrived to Fort Wilderness we decided to walk back to the cabin instead of waiting for a bus…or maybe because we didn’t know what color bus to get on. Either way we walked.

I will definitely keep an eye out for the ghosts and the mac & cheese hot dog.

Also, do you have a specific site or something for ordering Toms? Lol. I definitely just remembered I was planning on asking you about them before May’s trip lol!

YC is so gorgeous! I adore that area so much, it’s so pretty and fantastic!!

He hit a moose and SURVIVED?? Seriously, in Canada if you hit a moose, you’re lucky if you have a head, much less the top of your car afterwards…scary stuff!!

Also hold on one sec…did you go to norway and NOT get school bread, or did I totally miss that part...

I just totally finally caught back up on this TR!

First, thank you SO much for sharing your cruise in so much detail! I've never been on a cruise so I was always just kinda like well a Disney cruise could be fun maybe. But now I know that this needs to be a reality!

Is the fish extender thing like a Disboards thing or is a DCL thing?

Second, I really loved your trip video! It was so much fun &you did a great job putting it together! &my older sister was with me when I played it and she's developmentally disabled and she thinks it's the greatest thing ever so we've already seen it 3 times! :rotfl:

Can't wait to hear about the rest of the trip & MNSSHP! I've seen the pictures and you guys looked amazing!
